I did the repositioning trip to San Diego in October 2023- I rebooked the same for 2024 out of Vancouver- Turned the cell off- got a great book- used the gym and pool everyday and walked the ship a lot- This is a great introduction to cruising ! Gerry

Our last trip to Alaska was memorable. On the fourth day in we got Covid. The Ocean Bar at happy hour was a joke. Passengers had to wait a long time to get a waiter to order drinks and wait even longer for them to arrive. As the trip went on I went directly to the bar, ordered and waited and took them to our table. Not enough staff. It didn't improve for the whole voyage. The beautiful dining room was excellent as always and the Tamarind was tremendous. We are onboard again to Hawaii in October 24. Only 43 days to go. Our 6th trip on the Hawaii circle.

@@SusanatEscapes So, by your reply, I should believe that you didn't think the dining room was excellent and the Tamarind tremendous? I will tell you that we have sailed to Alaska many times and the last cruise showed a distinct difference in service in the bar from past voyages.

Question to all. How many hours do you sit on the balcony for a 7 day cruise? For example our last cruise LA to Mexico 7 nights, we only sat on the balcony total six hours during the sail and three hours of it was sleeping.

Thanks for watching. It's different for each traveller and destination. I'm on the Crystal Serenity as we speak, Vancouver to LA. I'm on the balcony often. In the Mediterranean during hot sunny days, I would sit and read. Thankfully we as travellers have choices!

I couldn't afford a balcony, but I saved until I could. Alaska with a balcony is a great way to experience the entire Alaska adventure. I was on the Koningsdam in June, just a beautiful time!
