The shot at 3:17 was amazing! Her tattoos complimented the shot so well, coupled with the pro mist filter, makes her like a main character in a movie 👏
I stayed in Osaka for 3 months, in Ikuno ward so it's a surprise and really cool to see it pop up on your channel. I was just a station away from Tsuruhashi in Imazato. There has been a ton of Osaka content lately from all corners of the internet so it's been cool to see but also makes me jealous that I'm not there anymore. After traveling around Asia since February of 2022, Osaka has been my favorite place hands down, and I'm working to go back ASAP and to stay for longer than just the usual 3 months that a tourist visa allows. I really recommend Osaka to anyone interested in visiting Japan. I know most people try to fit in as many places in as little time as possible, usually just staying for a week or so, but if you can please stay longer, it is so much more rewarding, and staying in the same place the whole time really allows you a deeper understanding and appreciation. If you go to Osaka it's really easy to also visit Nara and Kyoto, for just a few dollars and an hour or less on the train, so you can see more than just the city but you don't have to lose time like if you go between Tokyo and Hiroshima or something like that. Just my two cents but everyone enjoys traveling in their own way. I had one of my first sit down meals at that Yoshinoya next to the Dotonbori sign. Now I'm craving a rice bowl.
Remember few videos ago saw that you use black mist filter, got one as well, and it makes looks everything so magical, i hope one day will get a chance to take photos in Japan as well! As usually, well done Kohki! Your videos is always enjoyable to watch! So easy to watch and motivating, music is great, how you show the place. You make videos look perfect!
Haha thank you for always watching my videos! It really means a lot and also gives me the motivation too! I’m glad you got the filter, it’s a must for me now and I hope you can visit japan soon. Until then, you can list up all the spots you want to check out from my videos and photos🙋🏻♂️
Heeey, long no see!! 👋😁 Thanks a lot for sharing your street photo session with Nao-san!! You shot some truly amazing portraits!! 👏👏😎 One place I want to go for shooting is Beppu at night with all the steam pouring out everywhere. The street lantern are illuminating everything in a pretty warm light, but interrupted with some aggressively green lit buildings. 📷😆 Anyway, can't wait for your next A Day of Portrait Photography segment!! Thanks a lot again, Kohki!! 👏😊
Thanks for tuning in! I’m excited to plan and shoot the next one haha Oh yeah Beppu has such a nice vibe😂 japan has a way of ruining it with strange lightings haha
Absolutely amazing images. Needle in a haystack to find things like these where images are not full of artificial poses but honest moments & feelings. Pro mist nails the atmosphere. Keep doing it!
When you come back to NY and if you need people to shoot (in the event you don’t have people set in mind already, I’d love to volunteer 🙏🏼. I’m sure you and Jerome would be busy, but in the off chance. Love to meet you, brother. Keep up the amazing work as always. Hopefully see more of this and street photography episodes.
For a japanese woman with tattoo living in Japan, Nao is brave, cool and unique. Amazing photos and vlogs as always Kohki.. i'll try to go to the spots you've been to the next time I visit Japan and hope I would bump to you and Ichban.
Thank you! And yes she has a unique look which is why I reached out to her when I started portraits✨ Yes please do! The market was such a vibe! Highly recommend it!
Always inspiring bro! I'm just back from shooting in Japan in spring for the first time! My previous autumn videos from Japan took inspiration from you also! :D Keep it up dude!
Can't agree more with you that rain is very interesting, and even the cinema industry proves it on and on, most film set water the roads and pavement to make them more reflective, more moody, more contrasty. water isn't the enemy indeed :-)
Those photos are amazing, dark and gray rainy weather perfectly mixes with full of colorful lights streets of Osaka. Unfortunately I can't try to use my Fuji X-A5 in rain because it isn't any waterproof.
Thank you! Haha same! It has such a unique atmosphere. The filter is listed under every photo on the bottom left corner. But mostly it’s the promise 1/4 from tiffen and Nisi. They’re same pretty much so I’d just get which ever you can get your hands on
I'm just starting photography and your videos look really good!! Please keep this going!! Also, it would be really useful if you could also share some audio of what you say to instruct or guide the models on their poses when taking their portraits!!
Nice! I see the scene you are in and what you see in the screen, but then I see the rich colors in the final image. What did you do in post to get those colors?
I think, i love the photo when there's "frame" outside the model. That's feel like illusion, looks the model, finds the "frame" and realize that this is street photography
Hey khoki been a big fan of your work for years now and love everything. Wanted to ask you as a photographer what phone do you carry on the daily basis and which phone do you recommend for photography. Thank you
Thank you very much! I use the Xperia pro-I for the longest time. It’s so good. If you don’t mind iOS or android I think that’s the best smartphone for any quality content creation. Of course with a little learning curve since it can shoot everything manually.
Thank you! Well I don’t think I have a main. My workhorse photo video is the a7s3 and photo is for a7r4. I have another camera as my main inspirational daily carry but I am planning to make a video on that soon!
I’m not sure what you mean exactly but from tokyo you can drive 1h south to go to Kamakura and 2h west for Mt Fuji. Kyoto and Osaka is 8+hours so not ideal but it depends where you go from
Finally, hope this series still continue. Love this so much!
Haha it’s the most fun episode so I would need to find more people to shoot with!
@@Kohki can't waait for next episode 😍 idk why every side of japan is 'aesthetic'. Can next episode about not aesthetic japan side? If they're🤣🙈
I just thinking how much I missed the day of portraits
Best weather to shoot 💫
So glad this series is back! (And making me want to shoot portraits in Osaka 😅)
Haha Osaka is so nice! Maybe not if you’ve shot it a million times but 😅
FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The shot at 3:17 was amazing! Her tattoos complimented the shot so well, coupled with the pro mist filter, makes her like a main character in a movie 👏
As usual, love the series, your editing style, and the music choices!
Thank you! Got a little rusty but I enjoy these episodes so I have a few more planned this year
Amazing as always! Thank you for continuing this series Kohki!
Glad you enjoy it!
Great vibes and beautiful shots. Love it 👍🏻 Osaka a great location for photography
Thank you 🙌
Love this series so much!
Thank youuu!

Only sad thing about this video is too short, great photos by the way really enjoyed!
Haha I noticed that as well but thanks for the kind words!🫡✨
we need more vids kohki.. you've convinced me to buy a 1/4 mist filter too hahah
Hahah bro these episodes are inspired by yours. I came up with this episode idea after watching yours. You need to upload more 😂
5:34 superb!

At last i can see your portrait episode again bro, i'm excited to watch it 😂
Haha got rusty with vlogging I need to get back on it😂
Great content, Nao has such a unique look, a natural beauty. Great job!
Damn bro you are so talented. You make photography look easy
Hahaha thank you too kind! A lot to learn still

It's back!
Clean work as usual, man! 📸
Appreciate it!🙇🏻♂️✨
Thank you!
If you still remember I asked for another vid w/ Nao ik and you delivered it. 😂
Anyways great work. Love this series.
Haha yeah I wanted to shoot different people every time but if it’s fun why not right😂
please more of this kohki
Nice work. I'd like to try it some day. It only rains here in winter. My Fuji xt4 and 23mm 1.4 are weather resistant too.
Oh where do you live?
23mm founds wide but yeah on my previous episode (8) I used a 24mm 90% of it and I loved it!
@Kohki Yamaguchi California. Fuji xt4 is apsc camera, 23mm is equivalent of 35mm.
I miss this bro More of this 💯💯💯💯💯
Thanks for tuning back in! More episodes being planned!

Amazing photos and vlogs as always Kohki..
i'll try to go to the spots you've been to the next time I visit Japan and hope I would bump to you and Ichban.
Pretty common & accepted nowadays for the younger generation to be tattooed in Japan
Thank you! And yes she has a unique look which is why I reached out to her when I started portraits✨
Yes please do! The market was such a vibe! Highly recommend it!
The only thing I dislike about the video is that ends😂
Loving the series Kohki, keep them coming.
Hahaha I’m glad you want to see more! I will keep that in mind for the next one!
Always inspiring bro! I'm just back from shooting in Japan in spring for the first time! My previous autumn videos from Japan took inspiration from you also! :D Keep it up dude!
Such a great series!
Thank you!
Great footage! Love it! Ciao from Italia! :)
Thank you very much!
LOL Nao makes any shot look good.
Keep up the great content! Very inspiring! Do you use any diffusion filters in your shoots ? If so what are they?
Thank you! Yes I use a 1/4 mist for all my videos and many of the photos :)
Can't agree more with you that rain is very interesting, and even the cinema industry proves it on and on, most film set water the roads and pavement to make them more reflective, more moody, more contrasty. water isn't the enemy indeed :-)
Days like this call out for my Nikonos 4
Nice! Thank you🎉🎉🎉
Dude how are you so good with a camera haha, awesome videos as always!
Haha too kind!
I just have fun and do whatever I guess. If the photos turn out bad at least I had fun so😂
Finally a new episode...
Haha thank you for tuning back in!

Lovely images. I especially liked Tsuruhashi Station! What filter are you using on your camera that’s giving you the bloom on the highlights?
Thank you! Haha same! It has such a unique atmosphere.

Yooo, He's back!
Love your portrait episodes! Waited so long for this one😆Can I ask what the brand of your star filter is?⭐
Thank you! It’s from tiffen!
Nice! I see the scene you are in and what you see in the screen, but then I see the rich colors in the final image. What did you do in post to get those colors?
模特很好看啊🥰
Just perfect ....wish I have a camera...
Thank you! You can save up for one!
@@Kohki how much do I need to buy your recommended camera for beginners???
Beautiful
Thank you!
What brand of filters were you using? I loved the effects on the color that come out form the atmosphere!
I think, i love the photo when there's "frame" outside the model. That's feel like illusion, looks the model, finds the "frame" and realize that this is street photography

How did you achieve such nice light bloom? Looks great
It’s from a most filter. I use 1/4 strength. I find it to be my favorite :)
Amazing video! Are you using a diffusion filter? If so, which one are you using? Thanks in advance!
Great video man, love the star filter shots in Dotonbori. Are you using the 4 point star filter?
Thanks man!
Yeah I think it was the 4 point👍🏼 it’s backordered all the time so you need to wait a while
OMG the way she speak is super cute >
Hahah
bro great content, also what preset you use for photos, love it
Thank you! I used my own signature preset✨ it’s available on my website too www.kohkipresets.com
Great portrait video like always! Would be nice see tutorial video on your video settings and editing :)
Very nice.
really nice
love this series and your edits! a quick question about your vid, are you shooting in slog 3 and are you using your own lut to colour it?
Thank you!
For these UA-cam videos I shoot scinetone as it’s a faster workflow. But I do color grade them
@@Kohki definitely need to drop that colourgrading video soon haha 🔥🔥🔥
I hope I can visit Osaka one day.
Nice potrait here,
Can you tell me What kind lens filter used this time ?
Thank you
Didn't expect Korean food🤣
Haha if you smell it it’s near impossible not to😂
Loving the videos , what font did you use for the title ?
😍
did you use a filter or a black mist or something in front of the lens.?
Yes the most 1/4 from tiffen and nisi
How do you capture the POV shots? Is it from gopro? Nice angle btw.
Yes it’s a GoPro on a shoulder mount 🙋🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️
😮😊 all scene Japan has it
Haha
I'm obsessed with the song you used for the 1st location. Can you tell me the title please?
How do you edit photos like the thumbnail?
Love your work!!! ❤
What is your current main camera? A7siii ???
Thank you!
Well I don’t think I have a main.
My workhorse photo video is the a7s3 and photo is for a7r4.
I have another camera as my main inspirational daily carry but I am planning to make a video on that soon!

Haha noted! I have a idea :)

Your English is very good among Japanese. Better than AUXOUT, but both of you make great videos and take great photos. Thumbs up!
Are your using a pro mist filter ?
Do you use cloudy white balance on rainy days such as this, or do you prefer to leave it on auto white balance?
I actually use auto always haha
@@Kohki thanks for your reply.
Hi bro
I love your videos if u mind can you share with me ur photography settings ?
im not from japan how far/long would you say the drive is to most of places you go to
I’m not sure what you mean exactly but from tokyo you can drive 1h south to go to Kamakura and 2h west for Mt Fuji.
Kyoto and Osaka is 8+hours so not ideal but it depends where you go from

brother which camera are you using now for portraits ?
SONY a7r4 👍🏼
Thanks. You are so amazing. The portrait are 😍💖✨.
is these a sigma lens?
