Beatrice Straight was the woman in Poltergeist who was the lead in the paranormal team investigating the ghosts! She was a great actress in movies years ago...1940's and later!

Melanie Brandt she won an Oscar for Network in 1976.
She also played the wicked daughter Goneril to Orson Welles' King Lear on television.

@@PinkyPuff69 It's not a very good production of the play (about 70% of the text was cut), and Welles is strangely ineffective under heavy makeup, but Straight is marvelous. It's available on DVD. Enjoy! 😊

Thanks for posting these episodes of CBSRMT. I hope you can post more episodes soon. This was always one of my favorite CBSRMT episodes. I thought it was really well done and the acting was very good. I especially loved the character Charlie. He is so funny!

I usually make a note of who wrote the episode. This time I didn't but by the middle of it I knew it had to be Elspeth Eric. Her scripts are unique, the best of CBSRMT imho.

One of the elderly ladies sound a lot like the actress from "The old ones are hard to kill".
