Everything Stereolab reminds me of this year 1995, was a great year for me with great music, was a student that year and was fortunate to see them several times. Thanks for posting & greetings to all Stereolab fans

One of my fave Stereolab tunes - can't believe they picked it to play live in Central Park - really subliminal and brilliant. And always nice to see Mary again, especially smiling.

What the hell went wrong with my life that when they were doing this, I was busy listening to bloody van halen or richard marx or whatever. Now I discover Stereolab and Grandaddy when they're all done... the universe be a harsh mistress.

One of the greatest bands of all times and I have never been to their concerts... You are lucky you could assist and film this in the 1990s.

Thank you for sharing this treasure. To see the band personnel in their mid-to-late 20s, in their prime and on-stage is wonderful. I feel like Stereolab was a musical and intellectual gift to music listeners and lovers with compositions and lyrics which continue to hold their own through contemporary times.

They were good to see live. The best tour I saw was the Soundust tour. Overall I saw them on Emperor Tomato Ketchup, Cobra, Soundust, and Chemical Chords tour. I think they will regroup at some point, but they needed some time away from each other.

I was fortunate to see them (just once) in the Student Union Hall on my Uni campus during my Senior Year, whilst they were on tour promoting the just-released Emperor Tomato Ketchup. Getting there super early, I was literally just a couple feet away from Lætitia and Mary for the entire gig 😍💞. The admission was next to nothing, yet I spent many times more at the merch table. Perhaps the best birthday present I ever gave to myself, even if it was a week or so early.

This is the only live version of this song that I know of other than I think the BBC sessions. I think Lab is kind of like The Smiths where they have so many good songs it's hard to say this is one of their best but I would put this in the upper echelon of Lab songs; of course there are probably 25 other songs in this category.

It's interesting how this show is not listed on the groop's official web site, but it obviously happened, and this is obviously the 1995 lineup. They played in Chicago a week before this, They were in Chicago that summer recording Emperor Tomato Ketchup.

This song is the one Stereolab tried recording and producing with both Paul Tipler in London and John McEntire in Chicago. Yet neither went to Emperor Tomato Ketchup. Instead the Chicago version was relegated to being used a b-side and the London version was given to an All Tomorrows Parties comp.
