    Great vid, at 8:40 in your shed you say the floor rotted away, so you laid slabs down, I've got exactly the same problem with one of my older sheds, the roof and side panals are still good but half of the floor has rotted away, as although it on concrete the rain runs underneath.
    So when the neighbours recently said they are having their drive relayed, I salvaged a dozen of their old paving slabs & I'm going to jet wash them all and lay them as a floor in the shed, they are big old school type slabs too, 2 feet square and 2 inches thick! Should make a good job.

    Hi paint can be a pain, I sorted out a mower deck, painted it with 2k lacquer but the lacquer was a bit old when dry petrol dripped on it and stripped the paint. Now that's still on the to do list. Anyway good catch up vid thanks🙂👍

    Dont sand that bad area down and then put base and clear over it again or it will react again with the solvent. Youll need to flat it back once its dry and then start again. 2k paint does not really go off its just the hardener that does normally (if the hardener is milky and not clear dont use it) also a solvent basecoat will keep forages to

    A man that enjoys getting his hands dirty needs a proper workshop especially when it causes the palm to come into contact with the brown and purple stuff (Money) . Those German supermarkets are a working mans treasure trove. I have a tin or two of those thinners lurking somewhere. I see the boss show up on the video making sure things are in order lol.

    Gary face at the end, brilliant. Why don t you put some spray tan in your paint gun and do a Gold Finger on him? Now that would be funny. Cheers all.

  • @TheOldRogue
    @TheOldRogue 6 років тому

    Always like these vid but it's a bit much tarting a mower up with a spray gun. You could get a decent job with a couple of rattle cans i would have thought :)

    • @retrorestore
      @retrorestore  6 років тому +1

      The spray gun is for the 2K lacquer bud. We are set up for it and it won't peel if petrol gets spilled onto it unlike rattle can paint.

    • @TheOldRogue
      @TheOldRogue 6 років тому

      Yeah i understand that 2k is a much better paint but thought, profitability, it would eat into the cost more, meaning less profits. That being said, a job well done that is going to last could, possibly, bring in more custom if you are doing it regular, i guess ?
