So, when you are working on own PC and your Doogee on bed and you got incoming call, your Doogee automatically understand this and resend call to your PC, so you can accept it and start to talk from computer, you have no needs to stand up, go and take phone? ;D There are no phones which provide more or even close functions which provide iPhones. But for all this functionality you need to have whole your stack of tech from Apple. iPhones have over hundreds of unique functions which have nobody else.
I can understand your point. But right now in Barcelona the price for Iphone 16 Pro Max 1TB = 1,969.00€ (Almost 2000€) is crazy! This is unaffordable for any minimum wage workers. Fortunately, I earn quite a bit more than the minimum wage, and it never even crosses my mind to spend that kind of money on a smartphone.

Lisa dear, if I in were in Russia, why would I buy the American (made in China) overrated iPhone? I wouldn't buy it in my Serbia either. There are so many reasonably priced Chinese phones which suit everybody's needs.
What I would like to advise about buying the Apple or any gadget in general is to check up on the marketplaces. Price of iPhone 16 pro max 1tb on Avito, for instance, is nearly the same to an American App Store there. Living in Europe I buy the phones in Russia whilst visiting it because of cheaper than in Europe.🙂

For at least 1/2 of US people the Iphone 16 pro max is unaffordable and if they buy it, most will max out the credit card or pay it in small parts. Most people will either buy a cheaper phone or wait a couple of years until the “newest” Iphone becomes an older version and it is sold on sale.
It's a mighty fine video on Russian iPhone prices you made. I'm thankful for all the ways that potatoes can be can be prepared and consumed. Mmm...potatoes....😊
Phone prices will always increase every year. Of course the irony is that the quality of the iPhone goes down or becomes more cumbersome. Loaded with features and slight improvements that other competitors have already achieved. Apple has lost its way. I don't think Steve Jobs would be happy with what Apple has become. Great video, Lisa!
I bought my first iPhone two years ago for its build quality, long battery life, and strong privacy features. No pre-installed Facebook-what a relief! Plus, its resale value is the highest in the industry.
Hi Lisa, I have just purchased the new iPhone 16 pro max here in the UK. It cost me GB£ 1249.00 or US$ 1538.00. So yes Russia is very expensive. You definitely dud the right thing, purchasing it in Malaysia 😊
iPhone and Dysons are made in China... if this is the consumption based standards of Russian girls then sadly Russian girls aren't pulling their weight
In fact Dyson manufactures in Singapore and Malaysia. Probably that is China to you... As for the iPhone, there is the distinction between manufacturing and assembly. Manufacturing is done by dozens of manufacturers of components, that are typically from all over the world, the assmebly is mostly done by their contract assembly partner Foxconn, with assembly plants for the iPhone all over Asia. Probably also China for your limited understanding.
@@EGO0808 Most of these parts are now CNC'd and developed in China too btw, it's not just assembly. Maybe 5-10% is in non-China Asian countries. Please check your sources
@ not true. The core manufacturing of components are done by European, Taiwanese, Korean and Singaporean partners. Let me put it like this, I might be involved.
To buy any new iPhone outright, no contract, in Canada, is not less than $2000-$2300 cdn funds. Many shipping containers sink at sea, and the consumer pays the inflated insurance recovery price. Some containers do get recovered, and I’ve seen sea cans full of phones from friendly China. They actually will still work with bit of care
Ruble always changes in holidays in Russia. As tourists is beneficial. Also maybe check out Huawei phones are excellent. iPhone trend is just an over sale.
We have had many attempts, but all were unsuccessful. To create a product at least at the level of Xiaomi, it is necessary to develop microelectronics.
It is pointless without having access to market. While Russia have no access and never had. As example Yotaphone - great phone, but without market it was unprofitable. In result Russia sold it and whole company which made it to China. Actually Russia produce phones and tablets, but only for internal usage: for some state workers and army, they are never sold on market. As example you can get even one of Russian mobile OS - Aurora (you can easily install it on own PC as virtual OS), pretty nice thing (no, it is not version of Android).
Iphone may be the best one but it's not cost-effective to Russian people, i mean for the average Russian people, because most of people are reluctant to spend their money on such stuff nowadays and i assume there must be so other alternatives available , perhaps you can make another episode to expand further on this topic.🎉
I'm old. I lived in a time when Apple had just been founded. They were always hyped and overprized. Needless to say I never bought any Apple products. I consider people with Apple phones or laptops posers. Poor people who want to appear rich.

Good advice that’s a SHOCKING difference. Past (added margins from) currency depreciation it seems politically motivated in other ways from a few (mostly two) sides with a lot of price gouging etc too. Apple products are still technically great but they’re increasingly constrained by what, as much as they have opinions, really amounts to capitalism (as imperialism). They can’t move manufacturing from PRC because access to (human, material) resources is greater more so than cheaper (Tim Cook lately).
@ how (much) are they in/out of CN right now? It was something like 75/25 recently. TC stated paraphrased since launch of iPhone 16. Implying manufacturing centers on and won’t move from CN.
The alternative is to pay for it monthly but if you’d rather pay it off at once, buy it in full abroad. Lisa probably got the holiday discount buying her iPhone in Malaysia. In Russia, you pay extra for sanctioned goods and even in the normal time, they weren’t exactly inexpensive. Not a surprise given Apple’s quality build and niche.
They are not overpriced. They provide more functions, but for this you need to have all rest own devices also from Apple. Of course if you have no anything else from Apple, then yep, iPhone have no point, you can’t use most of it functions, in such case better to buy much cheaper phone with backward Android.
Going abroad to buy an I phone looks cheap on the face of it but you got to factor in the cost of travel and stay abroad and then compare with the local price. Then its not cheap anymore. Ofcourse if you are on business trip at company's expense then it makes sense. I always purchased my phones abroad when on business trip only.😅
Guess where stolen iPhone's turns up after it is lifted from the streets of the UK?... Shenzhen, China. It is then striped down into part's and re-sold onto the market's worldwide.
Price is sitting around Iphone 16pro max 1tb is $1800 usd with sales taxes in Canada. I am a PC/Android person just makes no sense to buy a 1800USD phone when I can get the same phone running android for a few hundred. Its basically a status item most likely as I also don't use Apple products for music etc.. it doesn't make much sense as the ecosystem as far as I am aware really offers nothing that an android phone doesn't. USEFUL but I don't really understand why people pay that much for it. But I could say the same thing about designer clothes brands or premium imports. If it makes you feel better though that is your choice. Quality is quality though but that doesn't mean a lower cost android phone can't offer sufficient quality to work as a phone. It must be nice to have money to spend on something like a smart phone. I can understand a good camera is a good camera but I am still watching videos from years ago made by people with technology. I still watch youtube in low res all the time because I think wasting bandwidth on 4k video is just excessive and I prefer lower res content sometimes, it also loads faster. None the less as tarrifs could drive inflation even more who knows if the costs.. if anything weird happens with Chinese and Taiwan imports prices on electronics could sky rocket as well as cheap Chinese phones. Hopefully the looming tariff regime won't increase costs here in Canada.
I'm just hoping to upgrade to an iphone 7, one of my niece's old phones.😉 Here on the west coast of Canada, an iphone 16 pro max in $1,623 at Walmart. A person working full time for minimum wage will earn about $3,000/month before taxes. You can buy officially refurbished iphones, such as and iphone 14 for $500 Canadian. This is what I would assume a low wage earner would do.😗🧐
I don't hate iPhone, it is just that their cameras are lacking a bit and over saturate the recording. It's fine still, but a bit expensive. Thanks for another great video. (and thanks for the Moscow Zoopark telegram tip)

I had a holiday romance with a Russian girl, and she told me, she loved me, and I was the only one. She asked me to send her an iPhone from England. I sent it to her with a UK contract SIM. I was thinking, she would call me, when she got it, but no call. At the end of the month, I received the itemised phone bill, and to my shock, she had called another number in England many times. I called that number, and the man told me, he had been connecting with this girl 🙃
in my country iphone 16 pro max 1TB costs 1649 CHF (1807 $ or 184332 rubles), that's ~1 week of work for a median salary. I'm not a fan of Apple at all, so I'm saving money 😄 Greetings from Switzerland
1 week??? 😱😱😱😱 I was saving 1/3 of that amount of money for a year!!! But yeah, if I don't spend my salary even a bit, then I could save the whole amount of money for 6 months.
@ In Switzerland we have quite high salaries, the median salary is 7000 CHF (787627 rubles), but the cost of living is also high... my apartment costs me 2700 CHF per month (305000 rubles), at the end of the month there is not much left anyway! to buy this iPhone I would also have to save several months
The reason why people can still buy expensive stuff is because the state of living and salaries are improving. I am not denying the problems, however people I trust believe that it will turn around this year. Your economy is overheated a bit, that's all.
In the EU, the biggest iPhone 16 Pro Max is about 1950EUR, so ~2000USD with taxes. In the US prices are shown without taxes. The difference is not that huge.
iPhone is an American brand and can be purchased here in NY for 1$ from a local provider, and it's not expensive at all for the average user, per month.😊
You need a contract with a provider, for this price. You pay a montly contract-fee then, mostly for 2 years. If you calculate how much you pay in total during these 2 years, you'll notice it is a hefty price.

So, when you are working on own PC and your Doogee on bed and you got incoming call, your Doogee automatically understand this and resend call to your PC, so you can accept it and start to talk from computer, you have no needs to stand up, go and take phone? ;D
There are no phones which provide more or even close functions which provide iPhones. But for all this functionality you need to have whole your stack of tech from Apple.
iPhones have over hundreds of unique functions which have nobody else.

Hello from your American friend, to my favorite communist❤
I can understand your point. But right now in Barcelona the price for Iphone 16 Pro Max 1TB = 1,969.00€ (Almost 2000€) is crazy! This is unaffordable for any minimum wage workers. Fortunately, I earn quite a bit more than the minimum wage, and it never even crosses my mind to spend that kind of money on a smartphone.
In Australia the 16 Pro Max 1TB will cost you 180,911.39 Rubles.

My phone cost about £65,maybe $110.I can send texts make calls and check out internet. Why do people seem to want to be ripped off for hundreds of dollars/roubles?
In Canada, one is dollar costs us 1.40 right now
iPhones and Samsung phones are close to two thousand dollars
So ,overpriced everywhere
I really like you and your videos about Russia. In the USA, we can go online to Back Market and purchase used refurbished phones. Instead of purchasing a new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 which the 256gb model goes for $1599, I purchased a used 256gb Samsung Galaxy Z fold 4 In mint condition for $540. It comes with a one year warranty. You can also purchase an additional complete warranty for up to two years at $8 per month which can be canceled at any time. I've had the phone for over a month now and no issues.
You can make great business with reselling that phones to russia :)
Do you know good hole in border?
WOW Lisa. I use an android. It's a Moto rola. Moto g. It cost 49.00 works fine. I can even watch your videos. Oh, I got it from Walmart 😮😅😊
Lisa dear, if I in were in Russia, why would I buy the American (made in China) overrated iPhone? I wouldn't buy it in my Serbia either. There are so many reasonably priced Chinese phones which suit everybody's needs.
If it's about a camera, no one Chinese phone can replace iPhone.

Thank you Lisa. Happy shopping. Bye, bye
Long battery life? Really...
Very interesting! Thank you for sharing. Do you have a laptop? Is it a Windows laptop or an Apple/Mac laptop? Hugs and kisses from Minnesota😘

Hi Lisa, I have just purchased the new iPhone 16 pro max here in the UK. It cost me GB£ 1249.00 or US$ 1538.00. So yes Russia is very expensive. You definitely dud the right thing, purchasing it in Malaysia 😊
😄I better buy a new iPhone and iPad Mini BEFORE moving to Russia! 😵😵💫😅
iPhone and Dysons are made in China... if this is the consumption based standards of Russian girls then sadly Russian girls aren't pulling their weight
Omg, smells like new Klondike :D

iPhone trend is just an over sale.
Why Russia has not built a brand of mobile on its own. Russia must build it own brand of mobile phone at earliest.
yeah we need Abibas Phone
Russia did build one, but it was a flop. I believe it was called Yotaphone.
We have had many attempts, but all were unsuccessful. To create a product at least at the level of Xiaomi, it is necessary to develop microelectronics.
May Russia prosper
@@XLV750RD01 so you are rich, but like to look poor? Just following your rationale.
@@EGO0808 No, I don't look poor. Hansatics just don't brag or show off their wealth. A friend of mine drives a 15 year old BMW and has a Citation X jet in the hangar. Just be subtle.
Serbia Europe, Iphone 16 1TB is 272439 RSD or 2328 EUR or 2407 USD. Tax included, this is what you pay. I think the price is normal, monthly income is another topic.

Apple outsources to Foxconn, which is all over Asia, not just in China.
DO NOT BUY THE iPHONE. THEY ARE OVERPRICED.
They are not overpriced. They provide more functions, but for this you need to have all rest own devices also from Apple.
Of course if you have no anything else from Apple, then yep, iPhone have no point, you can’t use most of it functions, in such case better to buy much cheaper phone with backward Android.
same prices in Bulgaria for an iphone

I could buy one of those I phones a month and not notice the cost. My father once said ."how do rich people get rich? they do not waste their money"
Going abroad to buy an I phone looks cheap on the face of it but you got to factor in the cost of travel and stay abroad and then compare with the local price. Then its not cheap anymore. Ofcourse if you are on business trip at company's expense then it makes sense. I always purchased my phones abroad when on business trip only.😅
I have £100 (12,000 Rubles) Motorola phone, since in UK many phones are stolen and robbed off people on the streets every day.

@lisa_with_love you walking around Moscow/ Russia, phone in hand without a care in the world, now that's real freedom :)
Guess where stolen iPhone's turns up after it is lifted from the streets of the UK?... Shenzhen, China.
It is then striped down into part's and re-sold onto the market's worldwide.
The top Chinese phones are better phones, even Samsung are better.
This is what I would assume a low wage earner would do.😗🧐
Happy Tuesday ❤❤❤
I don't hate iPhone, it is just that their cameras are lacking a bit and over saturate the recording. It's fine still, but a bit expensive. Thanks for another great video. (and thanks for the Moscow Zoopark telegram tip)

What's up with that exchange rate? Here, in New Zealand, our government would be kicked out for that lack of performance.

So, don't worry, it's not that much more expensive in Russia.
Prices for mobiles rice all the time. Prices are the same in Norway as in Russia mostly. It depends of Gb, gigabytes what you pay. But be aware, so you do not buy too expensive if you can get the same Iphone or another brand cheaper in another store 😂

🫡🫡👍👍👍👏👏👏
You need a contract with a provider, for this price. You pay a montly contract-fee then, mostly for 2 years. If you calculate how much you pay in total during these 2 years, you'll notice it is a hefty price.
I’m not in for any brands, i’m very far from so called consum-idiot but … an iphone is an iphone❤️❤️
Dear Lisa, I just wanted to say "спаси́бо!" for all of your videos and content. As I currently plan to (finally) visit Russia this year, I started watching the channels of a lot of Russian vloggers (like Eli from Russia, Agent Nesty etc.) and foreigners who live in Russia (like Igor in Russia, Traveling with Russel etc.) - They're all somewhat informative and nice, but your calm, collected and charming nature is like a breath of fresh air.
