I find the Season 1 episodes interesting to watch because it's amazing seeing how some of the characters were before character development kicked in. Chief Wiggum is out actually doing his job, and Krusty doesn't look burnt out or miserable. He genuinely looked happy to be home. Hell, his house seemed like a modest home and he seemed to drink in moderation. In the later seasons, he would've had a cigarette in his mouth and chugged the flask AND the seltzer bottle
One thing that's always bothered me is how Sideshow Bob has a lanky frame while Krusty is like Homer, plus different hairstyles. How did he manage to look exactly like Krusty here?
well, it's not hard to disguise as someone chubbier and bigger than you, so he could have just stuffed his outfit to make him look fatter and used a mask to make his head bigger. also, the hair is probably just being held down or going down the back of his head (if there is a mask), since it's been proven to be able to go down his head when he's wet in cape feare.
So Sideshow Bob disguised himself as Krusty the clown, did his best to mask his voice as Krusty's voice. But Bart never lost hope that Krusty was innocent...but later in this episode why didn't Apu tell the burglar that it is not a library? But he told Bart and Lisa when they came to investigate?
Apu was distracted by Homer, especially since he was unhappy with a large amount of ice cream. Also before this episode, he was unarmed; in all subsequent episodes, he carries a double barrel shotgun and occasionally a sniper rifle.
@@ericwood7019 Ok, but why would Krusty or someone pretending to be Krusty wear a mask? He is so obvilusly recognisable Krusty was blamed for the crime.
That was his intentions. Bob was trying to frame Krusty the armed robbery at the Kwik-E-Mart and put him in jail. He had grown annoyed and frustrated over being the fall guy to the latter's humiliating antics on the show. Bob wanted Krusty gone and be the host of his own educational show, while retaining the popular Itchy and Scratchy show. Although he succeeded, Bob soon ran into a serious problem. The only person who believes in Krusty's innocence is Bart. He recalled what he and Lisa both learned in the security tape. When Homer stepped on the foot of the robber posing as Krusty, he screamed in pain and cursed out at the former. In Krusty's arraignment, both Bart and Lisa noticed his feet were small like everyone else. Had he been at the Kwik-E-Mart the night of the robbery and Homer apologized for stepping on his shoes, Krusty would've told him that he never felt. That was how Bart figured out it was Sideshow Bob's doing. He had the motivation to want Krusty gone, had the large feet to fill his shoes and yelled at Homer for his clumsiness. Bart foiled Bob and publicly humiliated him by exposing him for what he did to Krusty. He proved Bob's guilt by hitting his foot with a comedy mallet. Annoyed, he furiously yelled at Bart for his clumsiness and likening him to Homer. The crowd turns against Bob and he is arrested.
@@ladyfire44 Thanks, I get it, but why would anyone think Krusty would think a mask would hide his identity? It would be like a false Superman wearing a mask to commit crimes while wearing wearing uniform? Wouldn't everyone ask why Superman thinks a mask would hire his identity (to be fair, we know wearing glasses actually does it).
A truly underfunded swat team....this must be set way back in the 70s.....swat team with revolvers....🤣funny as hell though....of course chief Wiggum doesn't remember the rights....🤣hence the blah blah....
Chief Wiggum: Krusty the Clown, you're under arrest for armed robbery, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say blah-blah-blah, blah-blah-blah-blah.
Krusty’s attorney missed the evidence that he couldn’t have been reading the magazine due to illiteracy and could not approach the microwave due to his pacemaker. The lawyer should’ve brought his clown shoes and put them on Krusty and stepped on the empty part of his clown shoes as Krusty’s feet were small and don’t extend to the front and should’ve shown Krusty’s small feet to the jury. That’d be a strong argument.
Wiggum doing his job? Krusty not suicidally depressed? Homer remembering his son's interests and looking out for his well being and happiness? What is this, a fan dub?
Sideshow Bob framed him: Krusty can’t go near the microwave with his pacemaker, Sideshow Bob cooked a burrito. Krusty’s illiterate, Sideshow Bob was reading a Springfield Review of Books magazine. Krusty wore clown shoes but he had normal-sized feet like other people, Sideshow Bob’s feet were about the size of these said clown shoes.

I must admit, Sideshow Bob did a great impersonation of Krusty here to frame him.
