What is your getquin username? Link doesn't open properly in the app.
Hey Angelo, thanks for sharing. Learning something from your videos I would say Keeping calm and business as usual 😅 Take care.
Hi Angelo, if you open this with a pc, you don get the refrel code. The refreal code is then later asked for in the app, on teh phone, but you perhaps want to list the code so that you get credited. Thanks
For me it's simple: time in the market is worth more than timing the market, so I keep on buying my ETFs.
Well said, cheers to that! 🙏
Great video as usual!
I just watched your interview with Mr. Rip, I really enjoyed it! Great Angelo !
Nice, happy to hear that! I was quite nervous as I've never done an interview in Italian before (and my last live in general was 2+ years ago now) 😅
Thanks as always for sharing your opinion, Angelo.
I keep buying as usual
Great video as usual! It's important to remind ourselves not to follow our feelings and act rationally
Well I guess this video answers my question about market timing and such haha. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge with investing. So many people I know are constantly trying to time the market.
Glad to hear that! You're welcome! I think we all believe we can, sadly the reality is different
I will keep buying every month. A plan is a plan 😅
Cheers to that 🥂
Thank you for this video, I’ve been following you for a while and I really like it.
I started my investing journey mid year with a small amount, adding every month with an automated saving plan, and did well so far. I only invest in a global market index ETF and only have a long term goal.
I am considering adding a big lump sum now. I can’t wait for another market downturn to get in, it might take a long time to arrive or not come at all. I am 40+ and already lost so many good years of investing.
Your video is pretty clear and I understand I should not have concerns in the long term, however adding a big lump sum after such a good year when the market is at all time high is really scary.
Happy to hear that! It's normal to feel that way, maybe this video helps as well: ua-cam.com/video/yOWAhL6MFF8/v-deo.html
I wasn't sure if I should lump sum or dca for two months due to the bit higher broker costs for me. Deciced to lump sum early november and well seeing the results november brought it was worth it. Nice video as always! Maybe a video about what are the odds of ETFs never recovering if a world decline happens? :)
For an European investor, this is by far the best channel. Gracie Mille! ❤
Agree, even though I like much more to buy when price is droping I simply keep buying automatically each month. Taking out any emotions from the process is a huge benefit.
Same here, at least looking at the brokerage account/portfolio feels a lot nicer when we're up though :)
@@AngeloColomboFi Yep, always something to be happy about:))
Wow, two videos this week! What a surprise! My investments are automatic. I don't time markets.
... until you find out that the primary reason was me missing an upload last week 🤫😅
Nice, most of mine are as well.
Hi Angelo!amazing content as always!thanks for the several videos that are helping lots of people :) A question about cbcd's...any idea how the introduction of cbdc's will affect prices of ETFs, gold, bitcoin, real estate,...?and if you have any new future strategy or keeping the same..? Thank you
Thank you! No idea, but I don't see why that would negatively impact the value of assets (eg. stocks/ETFs/real estate etc.). I'm certainly not planning on changing my strategy for that reason :)
Angelo, great vídeo, as usual! It seems that the cripto summer is on its way (ETFs launching, halving, technical analysis...) Assuming that what you Will sell some BTC and ETH to rebalance (buy more Vangard Shares), why don't you wait longer to rebalance? You can always think that you have the 10% on costs basis and let the profits Run...? Best wishes from Portugal 😊
Thank you! I'll still leave the majority running, so I would be able to profit nicely if the run continues :) and I'll keep DCAing 10% of my monthly investments into BTC & ETH
All time highs in world-wide indexes are the norm and in the nature of an ever growing stock market. There are many interesting articles about this subject, see for example Gerd Kommer blogpost about the myth that all-time highs are bad for performance.
Time in the market beats timing the market!
Bravo Angelo! Sbaglio oppure usi getquin? Ti senti sicuro a condividere il tuoi dati dell'account con loro per la sincronizzazione automatica?
Yes, I'm using Getquin: angelo.fi/getq
I usually just enter everything into portfolio performance (since I've been doing that forever) and then export the csv files to Getquin.
First of all, great videos! Clear and qualitative, I haven't found anyone have a better balance of conciseness and thoroughness.
Commenting on your latest video as I couldn't find a video particularly on this subject yet in your channel, although you mentioned something about it in one of your videos.
My question is about what day and time would be best to buy an ETF?
I'm only looking for passively following a single ETF, you sold me (pun intended) on SPDR MSCI ACWI IMI Ucits.
In a video you mention its mo-fr 9:00-17:00, why is that and would you recommend a specific day/time within this?
Secondarily, in IBKR, is it possible to setup recurrent investments including fractional shares at this (ideal) specific time?
Thank you, and keep up the great work!
Thank you, that means a lot! I usually mention those hours since that's when one of the largest European exchanges (XETRA) is open (until 17:30), but there's nothing wrong with placing orders up to 20:00 on most days, depending on the broker you use and the exchanges you have access to. You just risk higher spreads (difference between buy/sell price) when you have less liquidity. No, I haven't figured out the perfect time to buy, since again you never know ahead of time if the ETF is going to be up or down that day. If it's going up, it would have been better to buy earlier, if down then later :) So just buy when it fits into your schedule (or place an automated recurring investment) and don't waste too much time on that decision.
Automated recurring investment it is! Thanks for your reply : )
great video but, do you even lift?
Thank you! I hope you're just trying to tease me 😭😅
I've been interested in investing into the ETF marketspace for a long while now, and recently i've done a lot of research and i'm ready to 'step in' so to say, but i'm hesitant on the booming market as we speak. But like you said, the market will always try to set new highs, so maybe the earlier is the better as i'm looking to invest for my retirement age (which if i can't quit earlier then the set age limit is still 37 years away for me personally).
If you're hesitant you can always start by cost averaging into the market :) ua-cam.com/video/yOWAhL6MFF8/v-deo.html
What software or portal do you use to track your investments?
angelo.fi/getq and www.portfolio-performance.info/en
If I understand it right you have something about 13.000 euro in a savings account. What happens if you need to do a big expense? you sell some of your etfs or? Thanks for sharing love your channel!
You just answered the question, I have 13.000€ (actually closer to 16.000€) in the savings account plus a bit of extra cash in the bank - so we would use that money first before touching investments :)
If we need more, we can always sell some ETF shares or take out some money from P2P and crypto.
Hey Angelo! Is it possible for you to make a video about P2P? What is it, how does it work, do’s and don’ts etc. Would be great!
This one might help: ua-cam.com/video/WpL7a_2DnHE/v-deo.html
DCA is the best strategy
Hello Angelo, why you are not using Trade Republic for crypto? Aren't their fees the lowest on the market?
Hi Elena, I mentioned it in today's video :)
ua-cam.com/video/CiL0e2CuMwk/v-deo.html
How it is MSCI World should I buy or not?
This video has your question written all over it :)
ua-cam.com/video/ysyJh7DOex4/v-deo.html
I like Ishares core msci world ucits much more then VWCE
Hi Angelo, what do you think about Estateguru?
I had a good experience when I was investing there a few years ago, but it seems like they've been struggling with recoveries in a few countries lately, perhaps also due to how badly the real estate sector has been hit by higher interest rates.
I just signed up to ibkr through your link. I plan to use it later in 2024. Do I need to add money for you to qualify for the referral commission?
Thank you for going out of your way to do that, that really means a lot. Don't worry about that and stick to your original plan! As an affiliate, I receive different (lower) commissions from IB directly compared to their internal referral program when people start using the broker via one of my links. I don't think there is a time limit for when that happens :)
Hey, I thought you were buying accumulating etfs, but you spoke about dividends. Which are accumulating?
Those are older existing shares of the xTrackers MSCI World and Distributing Vanguard FTSE All-World I bought before making the switch to only buying VWCE
@@AngeloColomboFi understood! How are they doing, don't think you've spoken about them in this video?
Why not view your ten percent balance in crypto as based on investment rather than overall value? With a bull run expected within the near 1-2 years you would severely limit your gains if you kept rebalancing your crypto holding down to ten percent?
That being said I’m considering selling my crypto at the moment rather than hodl‘ing in anticipation of a drop 😅
I've done that quite often, it's always a back and forth to find the right time to rebalance and stay responsible, since the market moves so fast 😅
does MSCI etf include investments on Israel? Is there a way that we can exclude that country from the investment etfs?
Israel's share is only 0.1%, so there's no point of worrying about it :) Either way, trying to exclude it now would make little sense, since those stocks already crashed
Timing is a losing game. I'll be buying no matter what.
Cheers to that! 🥂
I am just about to invest larger sum in WVCE, about 3k euros. Insticts are telling me to wait for a month or even two, because its like 6 times of my normal investment. Does it matter in this case?

@@AngeloColomboFi Thank you!
Hello why are you not invested in peerberry?
Simply not adding anything I feel I'm missing in my portfolio right now, nothing against the platform :)
Servus hast du den ausschüttenden all world ?
Hi Jimmy, I only buy VWCE (Acc.), but I still kept my older shares of the Distributing Vanguard FTSE All-World
buying t bills and what i think are good value businesses, but not many
Thanks for sharing! 🙏
@@AngeloColomboFi gerne ;)
Started investing this month in Vanguard FTSE All-World and gonna stick with the monthly reinforcements 👀
Ah, so you've been pushing prices up with your billions 🤔
Jokes aside, cheers to that! 🥂
@@AngeloColomboFi only 25 yo and started working basically ahah
Cheers to us!
I'm holding off a bit because I got a lump sum and I prefer to spread it out over the next few months over investing it all right now.
The same here. I feel nervous dumping all in when prices are all time high!
Thanks for sharing guys! You need to follow whatever makes you sleep better at night, so nothing wrong with choosing that approach!
Why do you prefer vanguard ftse all-world and not vanguard ftse all-cap?
My take on this would be - small caps have historically bad returns (due to ovepriced growth small caps). Unlike small value caps. So it makes more sense to add some "small value cap ETF" to FTSE all-world if you want to have exposure to small caps as well. You can try too look for more info under term "factor investing"
Sadly the FTSE All-Cap is not available for EU-based investors. Unless you mean the ESG-filtered version...
@@michalsladek8809 what small cap value would you choose for eu
@@drthots4576 I have ticker ZPRX for Europe small value caps and ticker ZPRV for USA small value caps. Didn't find anything reasonable to cover everything in one ETF. But I still have FTSE all world as core of my portfolio
@@AngeloColomboFi You can still buy non-UCITS ETFs in some EU countries.
dont reallocate btc, halving is comming, then 18 months of price growth.
If you buy at ATH you are raising your average price of a stock and that doesn't bother you?
Why would that bother me if I'm expecting my ETF shares to continue growing in value long-term?
It's not the same if you bought at 90€ per share or 100€
Market timing almost never works, but you can always just DCA into the market if you feel uneasy about being at ATHs
Personally, I tend to invest in dividend ETFs now, as they are not currently at an all-time highs.
But when the tech stocks cool down a bit, I plan to buy some EQQQ or Xtrackers MSCI USA.
Thanks for sharing!
Ich würde jetzt Gewinne mitnehmen und stark shorten!!
I buy every week in total of 26 buying order everyweek, 104 a month , monthly total purchase 620 euros
Thanks for sharing! Are you using commission-free saving plans for that?
@@AngeloColomboFi my only doubt is all my portfolio in traderepublic , i hope its secure platform
Ok great, in that case you have free saving plans and it makes sense 👌
Yes, they're a strictly regulated German broker and your shares fully belong exclusively to you and are never lent out (unlike Degiro for example).
Buying more shares every month.
Cheers to that!🥂
Ιt is scary to trust brokers with a lot of money. You are not guaranteed all of it if the broker goes south right?
Check your broker's terms and conditions. In Europe, there are strict rules for brokers to protect investors' interests. When you buy shares through a broker, they become your property. The shares are held in your name in a custodian account, which means the broker can only trade them on your behalf and cannot use them for its own purposes. The shares you buy are legally owned by you, not the broker. Therefore, if a broker does go bankrupt, your shares are in a separate custodian account and remain yours.
In addition, there are regulations and safeguards designed to protect your investments. In the European Union (EU), for example, there is the "Investor Compensation Scheme," which offers refunds under certain conditions to clients of financial services firms that have gone bankrupt. The maximum amount covered can vary, but the EU has set a minimum of €20,000 as the standard of protection. Like I said, check your broker's terms and conditions to see if this also applies to your investment.
Nonetheless, it is of course important to choose a reliable broker with sufficient experience and transparency. Angelo also made a great video about this.
It's scary to me, yes. 😮
Broker going south does not matter. Property of the broker is separated from property of customers (investors). So your investments can't be used to pay off any debts of the broker. Only (small) risk is when broker would cheat all the time and mismanaged on purpose your money all the time. Than you would get back (for most countries) about 20 000 Eur. Also from this reason in generall it is considered safer to use a big broker which is also on stock exchange (has to present results regularly and is even more under control). Plus as always - diversification helps here as well.
@@michalsladek8809 which brokers operating in Europe are listed on a stock exchange?
@@stellanews6190 Interactive Brokers, XTB and Degiro (Flatex) for sure. It could be more of them...
Stick to the strategy!
🥂
Sarebbe molto utile se potessi fare i video in italiano
Hi Fabio, I don't have the time to make my videos in more than one language (English), sorry :/
