Thanks for this, really enjoyed both interviews - loved the Ed Niedermeyer mention, his book on Tesla was really interesting and his work on the Truth About Cars blog with his father is very solid.
I'm hoping that the EV transition is just the first step in a bigger shift to more sustainable density/zoning/public transit reform etc., but right now I'm worried. Like you and Paris said, the current EVs are targeting higher price brackets without much for the low end at the moment. Plus all the mining that goes into the batteries, disposal problems, etc.
