Saitama was designed by the author to be unbeatable. No matter how strong Saitama's opponent is, he will instantly become exponentially stronger than them. That's why he struggled to kill a mosquito in episode 2 but destroyed half of jupiter by sneezing when he fought Garou.

@@olegkupran5284 respectfully I don't think you understand Saitama's power. Goku can hurt him, yes. but if he doesn't one shot him ( which he can't) saitama will grow to his level almost instantly and go way beyond that. Then goku stands no chance anymore.

Saitama can ignore fiction basically if u use some kind of erase ability he will still be there standing
U can see from the chart that saitama grows instantly during a fight. The saiyans needs training or near death recovery to power up. So for sure saitama might get beat up at first but he’ll grow to match his opponent.
Also the ppl in the dragon ball verse aren’t physically that strong, their power scaling comes from ki blasts. So they might not last long if they get hit directly with saitama’s punches

I'm sick of seeing people try to claim Goku can go hand-to-hand with Saitama. I've been watching/reading DB/Z/S for over 20 years: Goku's physical strength is not that high.
@@RazorStormInc yeah, in DB while fighting they do little damage to the enviroment unless they start shooting shit. Goku got almost killed by a lazer gun, I'm sure bro can nuke stuff with ki attacks, but Saitama would just blitz him to oblivion. People really are delusional.

But, the amount of power he'd have to put into it to damage Saitama would just end up destroying everything.
Saitama's durability is well beyond that of a star, while Goku can (somehow) be hurt by slamming into ice.

If we are going off of straight potential who has higher. I would think it would be Saitama because he only did basic training for three years and can be scaled to solar system to galaxy level. Just wondering if goku would be around the same level or higher doing that same basic training?

Not many people notice, but Saitama demonstrates that he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants. We see Garou try to escape through a portal when Saitama throws the “Omni Direction Serious Punch”. Now Saitama was outside of the portal as it was opening, but we also see Saitama attacking Garou on the other side of the portal instantly as if he was there the whole time. He can enter alternate dimensions and break the 4th as well whenever he wants too.

At this point the debate is pretty useless, Saitama can be scaled to around multi-galaxy.
But he’s not universal yet. (Keyword being YET.)
If he were to go against Goku and Goku wasn’t playing around AT ALL Saitama would get blitzed and one shot.
But if Goku plays around with Saitama and allows Saitama’s potential to grow he’ll eventually reach Goku’s level.
And Goku is around universal in base.
