- After months of not the vaccine not even being an option for me to get in Ukraine, it's now available to Non-Ukrainian citizens. Personally and selfishly I didn't want or need to get vaccinated as I'm young, healthy, low risk and didn't want to deal with any possible side effects, no matter how low. But I now see the writing on the wall and realize that if I don't get a vaccine passport, I won't be able to travel. So here it is, how and why I got vaccinated in Kyiv, Ukraine.

I’m a senior citizen & had no side effects from the 1st & 2nd shots. However, I do know several people who experienced side effects after their 2nd shot. Mostly mild side effects. BTW. Pfizer vaccine.
How long did those side effects last. I had the 1st shot fine so little anxious about that 2nd one.
@@Jbo2000 Agreed. If you're worried about side effects, just get Pfizer. I've gotten three doses of the Pfizer (yes 3), with the 3rd dose given at ~4 months after #2. Pfizer is still great IF you can manage to get 3 doses. If you can only get 2 for the first ~6-9ish months, I'd recommend Moderna. If I lived in a country like Brazil where you can freely mix and match but there will likely not be any booster shots until at least 12 months later, I'd probably get a 1st shot of Astrazeneca and a 2nd shot of Pfizer (or Moderna if they actually had that).
I've had two pfizer shots. The first one didn't feel anything really. The second one, 12 weeks later, I did feel a little bit sore in the arm and a bit of tiredness in the evening but it was really nothing to complain about at all. I got my second shot at 2 pm, the day after I felt just fine and nothing since (3 weeks now).

I feel the bureaucracy behind the COVID is worse then actually dealing with it. I felt I had it twice with the first time being life and death, and thank God for Emergency Medicine for Mountaineering as that kept the syndrome from killing me.
I was leaning towards not getting the shot, but feeling there are other bugs that got out, felt it was the best for the future. First shot, no problem; but the second, I likened to being poisoned and felt it caused some long range problems that are consistent with COVID's more serious problems and actually regret getting it.
I don't think mandatory vaccines with very punitive measures are not the best for the world. Especially when COVID itself has the bad news that if you get it, you have a 99.97 chance of survival.
I never experienced any bureaucracy. Reached the front desk, asked which way, they said that way, half hour later all good. Had a sore shoulder for about 4 days. Second time skipped the front desk, half out later, all good, sore shoulder for 2 days. 5 months later had an antibody test, still 86% immune. All good.

No, its not available for tourists. Only citizens and foreigners with residence permit (like in most countries). Also you need local tax ID code to get the shot.

I have had the 2 Pfizer shots in February and the next day I was on a plane to Ukraine. No symptoms. I am a 70 year old 100% disabled veteran and I never thought I would see a grown man complain about a vaccine shot before. Even the standard flu shots make your arm sore fit a day or 2. @@MEN101 Only time will tell. Ultimately we don't know the long term side effects for, and equally you won't know the side effects against (e.g. restricted travel, seasonal covid etc)

I only had a sore arm after my first Moderna Covid shot. I felt miserable for 5 or 6 days after my second shot though.

Just want to give everyone a heads up: you do not need a vaccine to travel. It barely helps you at all compared to a negative test. There are currently *no countries in the world* that are open to travel that accept a vaccine and do not accept a test. If you doubt me go to the IATA travel centre website and you can see the entry rules for each and every country. If you don't want to get the vaccine don't get it. It doesn't stop you from getting or spreading covid.
If they haven't enough people after 9 months of this pressure, they're never going to get most of them. The scheme will fail and they will just say we beat covid thanks to the masks and lockdowns.

I think in the US flavored vapes are banned or at least very limited in scope compared to other countries.. I think the concern was young people taking up vaping because of the fruity flavors and the non regulated chemicals in vapes that can cause some damage to your lungs and overall health long term.

I got two doses of Pfizer. First dose, only side effect was some tenderness at the sight of the injection. And no side effects after the second dose. I was a little concerned because I was expecting at least a slight headache or fatigue but nothing.
Yeah i hear people suffer more with 2nd shot so little worried myself. Had 1st shot and apart from sore arm for day or two was fine.

In Sweden we get the shot, wait for 15 minutes to see there is no allergic reaction and then we are off. The arm is of course sore after the short, due to the simple fact that you got an injection. Injecting pure saline would also hurt a small bit. Everyone I know was tired like hell the day after, nothing more than that.

We had very strict rules during lockdown in winter and spring 2021 in Kyiv, but now few people care about wearing masks in restaurants. Most of passengers wear masks in public transport, but some of them don't, and police don't fine anyone now, it just can attract the attention of police only. Ukraine is moving from green to yellow zone now
I’m in Kyiv on a temporary residence. Got a tax number to get the vax, opened a bank account to get Diia but now cannot access my vivid cert via Diia as my temp residence is not a supported document!! 🤦🏻♂️ if anyone knows how to get my covid QR on Diia I’d be much obliged.

Johnny, I got both shots with no side effects plus none of my family had side effects. All of my staff were very sick and very dramatic about the whole thing. As a nurse with asthma I was relieved after I was vaccinated. I read all the interesting comments so I may be sorry later but at 70 years old who cares.

Almost everybody that I know here in the UK has had the vaccine. That includes people in different age groups and includes different vaccines. I had my 2nd shot 3 months ago. No side effects whatsoever. Of course, it is still possible that I'll die from it this year. On the other hand, it could be the ingredients in the Big Mac that I ate yesterday that might eventually kill me.
Agreed. People who est poison don't seem to have a compunction against injecting themselves with said poisons. You already belong to the petrochemical cartel. They just want to make it official with a QR code. Expiration dates and everything.
When I got Moderna, I had soreness in the arm on the first round . When I went back for the 2nd round I woke up the following day with a fever for a few hours but taking Advil Dual Action kicked it out.
Hope you get no more side effects, Johnny, and are able to travel and post your interesting videos.
Feeling ill just means its working, i had the same reaction from moderna, well i didnt have a fever just achy for a day. its good to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem.

@@mra6220 Yes, that's how vaccines work. They inject a part of a virus to train the body's immune system to recognize it and fight it so that when the real virus comes the body already knows what to do. It's like training with a sparring partner before you have the real fight.

My first dose of Moderna left me the next day with severe soreness, fatigue, chills, and a persistent headache. The day after that I was back to normal like nothing happened. Oh and my arm was sore for about four days. The second dose, which was early July, wasn't so bad. The side effects lasted for about 12 hours. I wasn't planning to get it, but I figure my employer will sooner or later make it mandatory. I'm new to your videos and I'm enjoying them so far. Hi from New Mexico.

I got the Moderna shot also and just had a sore arm and was tired after the first shot. The second shot is when some people feel a little sick. I did. Just clear your calendar for the next day after your second shot and you should be fine....
