Watching this video today in March 2022, it makes me sad to think such a beautiful country with wonderful people has been destroyed by war. I wonder about all the young people in this video and pray that they are safe.
This looks more fun than San Diego Comic Con, and plus a lot of it was outdoors.

Most women (50%) are actually naturally quite pretty or at least cute. The difference between Ukraine and the west is they dress and act feminine and aren't fat. The formula is really easy but western girls are too trash to follow it.
@@tnickknight I mean, I guess that's also true, IMHO Ukrainian women have the most beautiful features in the world, especially the girls that are a little darker, but I feel like that part might just be a personal preference and not objective.

Nha they have things like this going on in many cities. I stumbled upon Umicon in Detroit of all places. It was just like this. Makes ya feel like you've been living in a culture bubble doesn't it?
You look happy Johnny well done, your videos have persuaded me to visit Ukraine and stay for a few months and see how I like it and if not then moving on East to Phuket or somewhere close. I am thinking LVIV after investigating Odessa it appears as you stated to have a lot of scams and hopefully I can avoid that headache in Lviv or at least I hope.
I recommend you to come here in summer. You will enjoy it much more, as it got very cold in Kiev in the last days!

I love this worldwide fan community. It's come a long way from the New York Comic-Cons we went to decades ago as kids. I remember Gil Kane and Stan Lee sitting at card tables signing our program booklets.
Another thing that makke the Ukraine version, so much better than th US version. Is that every girl there looks more beautifull than the other. Nothing beats east europe women. From a dane living in Poland

I can only imagine how expensive it is now. My neighbor worked for a major card company so we went to comic con san diego in the early 2000s with vip passes and back then it was like $150 for that. I dont even recall there being food venues inside either.
Yeah, there was. It's a bunch of over-priced concession stands at the back, aka a hot dog for $8. The secret was to get a vendor pass and go out to the loading docks. There are food trucks that sell amazing burritos/tacos for the convention workers.

average sandwich at comic con san diego would be anywhere from 12 to 20 dollars usd for just a sandwich and maybe something like $6 or more for a drink, depending. you can bring your own drinks in a bag to save some cash. it is typically super hot outside so i would bring an umbrella or hat or something for shade. you need to bring a folding portable chair if you plan on waiting for over an hour or more in line such as in the ballroom panels. sd comic con is shoulder-to-shoulder in the main exhibit area and forget about getting into hall h because people literally camp out for days just to get in that you need to hang in groups so people can take shifts over night in holding your spots in line. it is that intense that i do not recommend it unless you can travel in a group so someone can go get food while taking turns standing in line. it is also very commericialised.
so i would say that comic con ukraine certainly has its benefits as there is more shoulder room, open space, cooler weather, friendlier people in general overall, and far less intense than sd comic con. there are some anti social people in sd comic con but with a larger crowd you get a range of all sorts of people.
if it’s just 1 to 3 or so people attending in your group at sd comic con, get there bright and early but also plan the day through because there are things to do at night. parking is nearly impossible that you have to take the metro rail unless you were lucky to get a hotel room nearby before it sold out. super super crowded with lots of planning for large crowds.
comic con ukraine would certainly be a breath of fresh air for me.

@@JohnnyFD heyyyy don't knock it till you try it! Some of the best memories are made while camping with friends. Regarding the food though; you never have to eat at the actual con. Downtown San Diego is literally a 2 min walk from the convention center and the whole city pretty much runs on pop culture themes for the month of July. If you ever really want to try and experience SDCC though, let me know and you can tag along with my group- if you still hate, you can honestly knock it :P

Its like the queues for the London Comicon. San Diego ticket prices are ridiculous in the UK its about £35 to £40 a ticket. The London one is the same as San Diego for food prices you need to get a mortgage just for a bottle of water let alone food.

Gamers, especially D&D and MtG, are everywhere, in every walk of life. My friend went with his husband on one of those wild, gay, cruises. And even there, amidst the sweaty dance parties and drag queens, they saw a table of nerds playing D&D and Magic the Gathering. lol. I just find it awesome.

Well this year San Diego was held as an online event. The main difference that separates San Diego Comicon from other "cons" is the influence Hollywood has in kind of warping the event into a huge promotion machine for the film and TV/Streaming industry. However comic books are still there at it''s core. Somewhere.
