Instead of creating our own designs from scratch, can we just use some beautiful templates from Canva (after we change them a bit so it's not copyright (exactly the same)) and then, for example, we just put that design on a T-shirt on Printify and start selling it on Etsy...?
Where is the video with the results? Can't find it. How have y'all been doing, the people who accepted the challenge?
I opened my first Etsy store this week and decided to do POD. I licensed a character from Asia a long time ago and decided to finally get my designs going. I did some research and the most sound advice is to keep each Etsy store you open in a theme for best success (don't put up a mess of different aesthetics). Also, you should have a lot of products ready to go and not open with all of them. Supposedly, the way to gain on the algorithm is to drop one a day for a month and play around with the tags (tA/B test). Etsy apparently rewards new stores that have owners in them doing the most to try and get the most. I am not sure to what extent this is all true but these tips are from people that have cracked the mid six figures yearly for a few years (verifiable).
Hot tip: make sure you don't accept returns. You don't want customers that are time and money wasters. Offer an exchange only if a product comes damaged but put this on your site and make sure to click the policy on the Etsy site. This is why I did not join Amazon FBA (really two reasons). One is Bezos' set up for his company to skim business from top sellers on the platform.Imagine you spend months or even years for Amazon to 'shadow ban' your business. Second, they take back EVERYTHING and you have to pay for that nonsense. Oh, and also you have to pay for traffic because the marketplace is saturated and their traffic is way down this year because people have moved a lot of their shopping back to brick and mortar. You only want customers that want your product. Also, make sure to put up a story about yourself. Personalizing your store is apparently very profitable. I wanted to post my (so far) learned info to pay it forward (karma).

This is spot on to what I’ve learned so far on Etsy. I’ve heard paying for ads on Etsy isn’t worth it, but I’ve seen a decent amount of success in my short 2 months on Etsy with a tiny ad budget. Wishing you all the best with your shop 😊

I would be interested in seeing your process for fulfilling your custom orders. When a customer places an order you'll go back into Canva insert their pet's name in your design, and then upload the custom design to Printify and order on behalf of the customer?
