Screech is one of the many entities from the Doors Hotel and I believe everyone should know more about this amazing character. He's known for his annoying "psst" and terrifying smile. But luckily Screech can be outplayed by looking directly into his glowing white eyes.

Another thing:
Having a lighter, screech has a 3% chance to still spawn.
But having a flashlight, screech has way higher chances to spawn, so i'd recommend using a lighter in a dark room!
The reason for this is bc a lighter light up a circle AROUND you. A flashlight makes like a line of light, and it isn't enough to keep screech away.

A Fake "psst" increases the chance of one of the next 5 rooms to be dark

Candles might help.
Why?
Well, the candle makes a circle, making Screech rare to spawn, but remember, "psst" is the alert that Screech spawned. But after a while in a room, Guiding Light will locate the key, making it easier to get it and move on.
actually, the psst is the warning screech gives right before he is about to attack not when he spawns
Bonus tip: if you are in a dark room, and you see your screen shaking fast, that means screech is here, and also the screen shaking comes before the "PSST" sound.

Hey SpookSter, just adding one more thing, Screech does not spawn on rooms that Rush has destroyed lights on. So, Screech only spawns at TRUE dark rooms, which Rush did not destroy the lights.

One time I was playing with my younger cousin, and we were using our phones which were really dim for some reason, and we were stuck in a locked dark room. We got a ton of screeches but after like 10 minutes of being stuck in there the screeches just stopped for some reason. Eventually we made it out, but we got ANOTHER locked dark room and just rage quitted.
Here’s a tip for Number 11: yes, the sound IS quieter, but the fake screech audio actually does a “psst”, while the actual screech encounter is “pss”

Explanation for number 6: He always makes and audio cue for when he spawns, its not a whisper. Instead it's a faint static noise that can be mainly heard if you have above 30% volume and with headphones. This is probably the most important part about screech which means you can deal with him easily, But i am pretty sure its just a bug since most mics have this little faint static when you use them.

actually, this is not a bug. I’m a mobile player, and in my journey of beating the game 25 times, I have had screech play a static noise only a bit before him spawning behind me.
I once heard a psst in a light room but screech wasn't there, but the thing is, it was really loud so I freaked out and looked around the room like a maniac
I'm a Doors nerd, so here is another tip to get you out of locked dark rooms faster! You don't have to open every drawer, walk up to it, and if you don't hear the guiding lights sparkling sound, go to the next drawer, once you hear the guiding lights sparkling sound, you found the right drawer! Once you get the key, get the heck outta there and open that door!

Same goes for the rooms with 4 rooms and the rooms that have a long hallway but with several rooms it's so helpful!

Explanation for 17:Screech is a weaker version of seek because screech show these stats:Spawn in dark rooms, Chasing players anywhere to go for a few seconds before attack, Need to look at it to prevent attack.

Fact number 6 : actually screech does always make a sound when it spawns if you listen very very closely he does like a no signal radio effect type thing so whenever I hear that radio effect i always look around even if he didnt do the psst effect

Well I can understand how annoying screech is, because one day I was playing with my friend and someone was hogging the key and screech was scaring the living cactus out of me every fifteen seconds. We eventually just left
Bonus tip: as soon as screech appears, there is a slight static sound, reason is: someone voiced the "psst" so you can hear the background.

For number 15 this has happened to me like 2 times and the main problem is that I don’t turn around during halt and I could get jumpscared
Turn around due to the fact that screech turns you around to where he is on you screen and then turn around looking at halt and then have to carefully turn my camera around so I keep on going forward and every time screech appears behind me I can’t not get jumpscared by him cause I don’t turn around when I’m getting halt and screech appears behind me I just get jumpscared no matter what and have to do that and it gets me so annoyed when it happens btw I would for sure want to see you play bendy and the ink machine just to see your primal reaction to the jumpscares

the story of doors is where figure is actually a good guy he is just trapped in the library,alone and needs food,if you run away he tries to eat you at the exit,seek is what corrupted this place and yes screech works for seek,seek actually allways watches you and he basically just lives in walls,his feet cant get off the ground because its like there is tentacles under its feet that are connected to the hands at the last seek chase room and the eyes on walls,rush and ambush are %100 cousins btw,guiding light is the guuy that died there and so he helps the other people so that their faith isnt the same as his,and he was there and dead for tousands of years so he knows everything about all entities.Oh and btw screech flies up when you dodge him,and he goes into the wall,just like seeks tentacles, so i think he actually is straight up a part of seek and the tentacle takes it away into the ceiling after he flies away
My personal headcanon about Screech's black slime is that one day he got some of Seek's slime on him by accident and ever since then he couldn't figure out how to get it off

Since this video is all about screech I have a funny story that happened to me today…
As I was waiting for my mom to finish looking at all the products in a bath and bodyworks I was looking at something on youtube with the audio lowered down and all of the sudden I heard a PSSS and immediately started to look around and even said “where’s that little shit?” like he was there when in reality he wasn’t ……… maybe this game IS slowly becoming my life 💀👍

For number 22, I had a dark room just before the seek chase and my friend was nearly at the end of seek's hallway. After I exited the dark room I got screech and as soon as i scared it away, the seek cut scene started. The only thing sceech did was fly up and out of the map. Just so you know :]

for Burger King foot lettuce fact, ive actually experienced that combo but worse. so i think it was door 53, and i was in a 1p lobby. we saw lights flickering a lot and then we went to halt’s room because we knew it was half. eyes appeared for 0.5 seconds in a “dark room” even though it was supposed to be halt, then we appeared in halts room, but i got the no psst screech so screech hurt me, eyes was hurting me, and halt was too. remember, this is all in like, a few seconds! then i died instantly but it said i died by rush..
