Rebeccah do you know how long I've been waiting for you to do another vivarium scaping video😭♥️ Ever since you did Isla and Lyra's scapes, and did that bioactive tropical viv miniseries, your viv builds have been my absolute favourite on YT- the instruction and vid setups always drew me
My 16 years old healthy but old crested gecko slowed down his eating, then i down sized his tank, now he is eating soo much, I think there are also sometimes, just sometimes negative outcome with a very big tank, especially for babies or very old animals, its just something to keep in mind, I cant remember the age of your New Caledonian geckos. Love your videos sweetheart
Thanks :) I wonder if it's a combination of having to search a bit further to find food, and age. Like minnie and gizmo have much simpler setups than my male leos as they're 17 and 18 :)
To be honest 4 x 2 x 2 ft may be totally fine. I think that's what most places recommend, it's just for me, I know rex loves to climb, so this made sense for him :)
@@leopardgeckotalk cheers for your feedback and yeah I am just trying to give all my animals the largest possible enclosures so don't want to give animal the minimum, I may settle for a smaller species but a shame as I really like them
I've said it before and I'll say it again - you should be incredibly proud of this build, it's incredible! So well done, and Rex looks great in it, that's a well looked after skink! Also, love a polka dot begonia! I hope mine is gonna bounce back since my roughneck decided to break out of his viv and trample it 🥲😂
@leopardgeckotalk I made a similar sized enclosure for my new Keel bellied lizard and she loves it. Pop in a few sun beetles for extra life and activity (they are safe if Rex tries to eat them)
Awesome! and thank you! Yeah Rex spends most of his time at the top of the tank 😂 and then in the evening he'll come down to the floor looking for food.
Enclosure came along nicely! Would be fun to know what you plan on doing in terms of upkeep (aka, a misting system or manual, fogging, airflow systems, etc) and how much it actually ended up costing in total!
I like to manually mist - it would be great to maybe have an automatic misting system, but it's part of my routine to go round, check the animals, check the tanks, give them a good spray :) I'd hate to know how much i spent 🙈
I’ve got a white Viperea enclosure for my snails and millipedes. I have to say their customer service was not the best to be honest. Pretty shoddy really. While I do like the tank, I can’t recommend the white. All the edges round the two doors are really rough so all the dirt seeps into the pvc and it looks dirty all the time. I would buy from them again though, as they are so easy to build and so light to lift and move if you need to. Anyway, enough about me, you did a fantastic job on this enclosure, seriously, 10 out of 10 🎉👍🏼🤩
Yeah I did have to wait 3 months for this to arrive after I ordered it 😪 but i think they've trained up more staff now so hopefully things will move smoother and customer support may have improved. I've always preferred black tanks as they can hide all of that 😁😂 aww thank you!!
this is the first time Ive seen anyone take advantage of all the space in one of these large enclosure builds. this is how I always do it. lots of branches and lots of layering.
thanks! Yeah there was so much space to fill and I just knew he'd use it all. I can't wait to see the plants get a little taller and form a nice canopy :)
Viperea make very good enclosures but there customer service was shocking couldn’t get hold of anyone after i tried to order a custom enclosure at an expo
2 things 1 the most important you should consider getting a frilled dragon it would be really cool because they are quite rare pets and 2 what shop do you go to
the funny thing is the one reptile that actually petrifies my sister is a frilled dragon 😂 she can't even look at a picture of one, so I don't think she'd ever visit me if i owned one lol
Hi, very nice build, I have a question, I’ve had a leopard gecko for about 4 weeks at the max. Do you think right now could be a good time to start handling, or wait a bit longer?
Wow this is a really gorgeous build congratulations! What a skink!

Aw thank you so much 😊
Look's fantastic! Thanks for sharing :)
Amazing build. And content.😊
Great work! Love to see a pink tongue with lots of great useable space!
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful habitat for Rex I bet he’s loving it ‼️‼️❤️
thank you! :D
Brilliant. Looks amazing. I had no idea they were THAT arboreal
thanks! haha yeah he absolutely loves to climb and be high up :D
Wowww such an awesome build!!! Rex is loving his new home!!! 😊 Love to see Rex getting this from us. Such a great gift to give to all your reptiles! 😊
Thank you 😊
this is such an amazing build! i love your building videos so much pls never stop creating
I like comment and share for the future gecko enclosure! 🦎
yay, thank you haha :)
Love seeing animals getting cared for so well ❤ I hope I manage to built something like this for my reptiles some day.
aww thank you ♥
Is there going to be any more crested geckos vids in the future ☺️🦎 love your vids keep up the great content 🙂
This tank turned out so amazing!! And I love how you designed your own plant pots - genius!
Thanks so much! 😊
stunning enclosure
thank you!

This looks really good. I was hoping to get a pink tongue at some point but only have a 4x2x2 and worry it's not enough height.

Seeing him happy makes me so happy :)

Yes! I love tank builds!
thanks!
This is sooo good, nice work and lucky Rex!
thank you!
Amazing, definitely gives me inspiration for our new Pink Tongued Skinks future Vivarium build! I was thinking the same dimensions too 😊

Hiya, great build! Was wondering where u got that rock hide at 7:39? Would love it for mine. xxx
Thanks :) tbh it was a second hand hide I'd found that day at a reptile shop, so I'm not sure of its brand or origin sadly.
Were you able to keep the lichen on the branches alive and propagating? It'd be such an achievement for a bio active build,
Please update
The tank is still quite new, but the lichen is still on there, we'll have to see how it goes :)

Hi Rebecca! Love❤ your vids! Can i ask you, what material you use for the 3d printed plantpot? Thanks!
PLA :)
Looks AMAZING! Still planning on adding millipede in?
Potentially, I want to make sure the plants are doing well before I add any more critters :)
@@leopardgeckotalk Sounds good

Do you have any problems with the expanding foam outgassing?
As long as you let the expanding foam fully cure there is no gas to worry about.
You can purchase the kind made for ponds/fountains/waterfalls also if you are worried. That stuff says it is safe for fish and aquatic plant life etc.
Yep like Jamie said :) there was also a good amount of time between me finishing the background, and me planting the tank up. :)
First oneeeee

I didn’t know Emma Watson owned reptiles (I’m kidding guys 😭 you sound just like her!)
😂😂 i haven't heard that for a while, but I know years ago people would say that haha
@@leopardgeckotalk haha I was watching your old videos and you sound so similar to her!
