In Malaysia, foreign tourists pay full price. While citizens & others such as PR, foreign workers, etc pay with discounted price. Usually for a place which involved government. Such as taxes, funding, land acquire, etc.

      Makes sense!

I think its more towards government subsidies rather than discounts. Malaysia government offers many subsidies the most obvious is petrol. Petrol price in Malaysia is less than 50 sen per litre, meaning government is subsidizing more than half of our petrol consumption. Just for the sake of your understanding but not necessarily on point accurate, the tickets locals buy is paid by the government probably half and the one you bought is not subsidized. Its just an incentive to help the locals. Tourists are still able to enjoy other subsidies tho.

@@linustw most developed countries UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and list goes on..regardless locals of foreigners included tourists paying the same price for tourist attractions, but not for medical treatment, etc.

@@nikhassan7713 but the full price of malaysia tourist attractions are still affordable to the western tourists.. Our first class one night hotel accomodation of RM500-700 per night is only USD 106 - 150 per night which is way lower than even third class hotel rates at their country. However, the medical cost at those countries for us tourist hmmmm.....I have a family member who collapsed at heathrow being charged almost 1 mil for her full medical and repatriation costs...thank god she bought insurance and that was covered mostly by the insurer....

The cost in Malaysia is very affordable for a developed country that uses dollars and euros. for us malaysians can't afford it, it's very expensive.

Going up to the link bridge in klcc is a total waste of time. Its only at 44th floor. Many condo and highrises in kl already taller than this height
But kl tower, dun go to observation deck. Just book lunch or dinner at revolving restaurant. You can kill two birds in one stone.
