I'm so glad they let Erika actually sing for this event. So many times they just have her speak Venti's lyrics, and this time she really got to show off. She has a beautiful voice and she's done a cover of Soldier Poet King with Joe Zieja while using her Venti voice before.

Gang members raised her as their servant even tho she was just a child they forced her to steal and fight. Bandit gang was struggling cuz of hunger she tried to escape but one of the elders brought her back.If someone else caught her she would die cuz escaping from the gang makes u a traitor. That elder tossed her a knife and forced her to kill him after that Rosaria got her vision and gang accepted her as a member then Knights of favonius wiped them. Varka brought her to mondstadt for rehabilitation after that she joined to cathedral.

This one was so wholesome and sweet. And we got to meet so many characters after so long T_T
Bwaap with that sentimental value with that Mondstadt starter team, it's only been 2 years but it doesn't feel that long. Genshin has always had tons of characters and the roster continues to grow. It's so sweet how they're not being tossed to the side when it comes to character development.
As someone that's adopted, and doesn't know anything about my bio dad or his family... this event was such a mood. I've always loved Razor, but goodness, this hurt the heart. It was so well done

it would be difficult to find them but it also deppends on if you wanted to search for them or it may not even be difficult idk to me how hard it would be random deppending on the circumstances

I'm assuming you haven't read his character story, so here's just a bit more context:
"This is your chance. You are our last hope."
Kaeya's father squeezed his son's lean shoulders as he spoke, seemingly looking right through Kaeya to some place far beyond.
On the other side of the horizon sat their distant homeland of Khaenri'Ah.
Kaeya would never forget the look of both hope and hatred in his father's eyes as he uttered those words.
That's all we have thus far, but I'm sure you can come to some kind of conclusion.
EDIT: Also, remember how he can speak hilichurlian.
If the open theory he's a khanri'ah descendants is true... Than man, he might have more screen time in the future, and probably not the good one if the plot turn for the worse.

@@ii.sxlary8742 Not of royal blood but still part of a family of regents. They stepped in when the king became unable to rule, so I assume they must still be nobles in some way? I imagine not just anyone would be allowed to lead Khaenri'ah in the king's stead so the Alberich clan was probably still powerful/important despite not being of royal descent
mondstadt events or just seeing mondstadt characters in general instantly brings a smile to my face
Monstadt is such a home. Whenever I go to Monstadt, it always makes feel the nostalgia of my beginning when I play the game for the first time. I don't know this event makes me feel so happy, and calm for some reasons. Monstadt is truly a home.
There may be quite a few more nations to come, but only Mondstadt gives me the fond feeling of home
It gives me so much beginner flashbacks, the small rush of excitement to just wander and explore without any clear objective returns for a solid moment

If I remember correctly, Barbara still doesn't know that Venti is the Anemo Archon even after he summoned Dvalin right in front of her. Jean stepped in and immediately made an excuse for Venti.
If you thought that is procastinating, then you haven't seen me 5-6 hours before events end staying up late, trying to enjoy the story, talking and taking photos with characters but not too slow to be able to do mini-games for rewards on a school night ( I made it just in time thanks Barbatos )
Overall, such a wholesome story, worth it. I love Mondstadt, felt like coming back home and after this event, I now appreciate and love our Wolf Boi Razor

mondstadt events, characters, just everything about mondstadt, i treasure it all. i love mondstadt so much, its so majestic and nostalgic. i have my commissions in mondstadt just cuz i love this region so much. seeing mondstadt characters together is just mwah
i will never get over how soft bwaap gets whenever there's a child character (klee, as a prime example). he'll easy go along with the child's imagination or their schemes or how protective he gets when someone threatens said child. he's like a soft big brother ;w;
man mondstadt really just reminds me why this game blew up. the characters, story, hecc, even NPCs feel so personalized. genuinely, it feels like _home_

Lets ignore the fact that this letter from Varka took 3 regions to get to it, so while we all thought they were dead..
I like how this isn't the first time Klee and Bennett adventured together.
Honestly, the event quests of each nations so far for me:
1. Mondstadt: literal place for you to unwind/relax, people are just much more relaxed and not much tension going on for now but overall, best nation to return to when the other nations get scary :").
2. Liyue: the place for you relax, but a livelier. A place to return to when u just wanna stroll around
3. Inazuma: tense, peak depression, rich of lore tho.
4. Sumeru: blood-boiling....just, blood-boiling for me...lore-wise, much more enjoyable than inazuma's tbh
Its Interesting to see how things can be interpreted. I saw paimon's line more as "Razor deserves more stuff, what were his parents thinking" because she tends to defend people in an unguarded, fierce fashion.
Ah no, she was expecting treasures or something if you look at her before he opened the box and then was disappointed there was nothing useful. They are making Paimon an obnoxious creature who only cares about food and treasure as a running gag, it's insensitive and unfunny. She always ruins serious moments because of those out-of-place jokes.

Funny story, the English VA of Venti sang the poem just for fun, and VA director liked it so much he turned it in to Mihoyo. The other language VAs still has them read the poem. Only the Eng VA sang the song in the game; Idk if i heard it from a livestream from Aether VA or in an interview about that, but it's a really cool fact for Genshin.

I loved this event so much. After you completed everything before the end of the event you could find Venti and talk to him. He explained that he made the dandelions hold memories of the past and send them to the ones they pertained to and how it really exhausted him to do it. That's why razor saw his parents before he was born. I believe there were others you could find but I could only find Venti and Sucrose (she was at the stall next to Diona's business's stall).

This event was a blessing fr c: it's genuinely such a treat and I am so happy that we get Razor's lore, and ran into a lot of familiar faces around Mondstadt. And it's always so fun to see Bwaap's reactions to everything. Thank you for all the work you do!
With the translation error part, I whole heartly agree with this. When you look at the translation for other languages, it's different but with the English translation, it just makes some aspects feel out of place once you find out that specific difference. I don't know what the English translation team is even cooking with these since it CAN make one think differently.

Agreed. I do think people need to refer to the original Chinese text/language for what is 'canon' because the differences between English fandom vs. CN/JP/etc fandom causes so much arguments and vitriol. Whether it's mischaracterization of Childe being cocky or Xiao being grumpy (neither of them are like that in the Chinese version), Itto being portrayed as annoying during the 2.7 quest (only in the English version), the Diluc and Kaeya adopted vs. sworn brothers mistranslation, etc. The localization team needs to sort itself out.

i totally agree with you on your take of the reveal of razor’s parents items. i totally felt caught off guard when paimon said that. it is totally rude in such a sensitive situation. i also feel like they try to make paimon seem like a sassy blunt character, but it’s not who she actually is and this isn’t the first time they’ve mistranslated words. but still, even if it wasn’t a mistranslation, they still could’ve gone with a different approach. it wouldn’t be the english translation team’s first time changing words.
For a pretty short quest it was absolutely so well done and so beautifully made. I don’t cry ever during video games or shows but this was one of the few that actually got me close to. It was so amazing. I hope we get more story quests like this in the future. Honestly if this is Razor’s past imagine a quest like this but with Kaeya’s or heck even the Traveler’s. I know Hoyoverse will pull through with it lmao

thank you for explaining the translation error!! it really made Paimon look bad, and in reality she was just disappointed for Razor bc there wasn't much information in there for him that she could see. they really should do better with these translations, it's happened in the past where I found out something from the lore or story was translated poorly so we were getting a completely different impression of certain stories. it's frustrating.
