cant really blame the traveler for denying i mean, they did save two nations, and they barely helped out. THEN they found out tht their sibling is with the abyss order... kinda hard for em to accept....
I’m sure they also don’t want to start a civil war against an archon. If they do that here perhaps the other archons will consider him a threat which will make meeting with them to get information about his sister and the abyss order extremely difficult.
Yeah after saving 2 nations and zhongli not telling them about khaenri'ah because of his contract, it seems like the traveler just wants to uncover the past and complete their journey to get answers from their sibling
In Monstad, Aether helped them because he didnt have clues where to searh for his sister and just helped them out. In Liuey, he helped them because he got accused to be a murder, and later sealed that sea monster because it could kill many people and destroy Liuey and maybe other nations. But when he came to Inazuma, no monster, no misunderstandings happen, and I think Aether was already done with everyones shit
My thoughts exactly And especially after he realized what happened to his sister, he has no reason to help anyone but to just get answers from the archons
Cmon man, MC just wants to meet his sister he didn’t ask to save two cities, save a dragon, and then fight a hentai monster. Now you want him to fight a god in a war in Japan?

It's obvious that Aether is raged af, because everyone is like hinting with him. He did not know why his sister did not want to come with him, and John Lee did not give him the answer he needs, and above all, he is tired of being an errand boy
Can't blame him for being tired and wanting to reach the end of the journey and know about Lumine's actions. Besides the nation is hoping that Aether/Lumine can change the tides. Let alone someone as tyrannical as the Raiden Shogun who is basically making her people miserable in her pursuit of eternity.
Rumour said that during the destruction of Khaenri'ah Dainsleif fought the 7 archons head on alone and manage to slay the former Dendro archon. Which made the Sustainer cursed him.
@@kumarakshat1300 there's a leak spear called Regicide that has the same colour platelet as Dainsleif's. It was said to used to kill an Archon 500 years ago. Since from the we will be reunited trailer we never saw Raiden's lightning, Zhongli's spears, Venti's wind and etc to destroy Khaenri'ah but the Unknown God's cubes rumours said Dainsleif used his powers to nullify archons attacks and counter it and used his sword and spear to fight archons in close combat.

I get where people are coming from where they say Ayaka's quest is just a date or we don't learn about her, but is it weird that I interpreted it differently? We learn something about Ayaka. That she is tired of working. I hated how Jean was just "maybe I am a dandeion knight" because she doesn't address her workaholism (yknow, thats why she passed out). Ayaka realizes that she is wasting her life working and she is now trying to be happy. We go to a festival with her and we watch her dance. I appreciated it because you can tell during the festival and after her dance she feels guilty about being this carefree and we're here to reassure that it's okay for her to relax.
same actually! i think the possible notions of it being a 'date' is sweet and all, but what rlly struck at me too was ayaka just learning to be able just tie away from the formality of being a noble and experience a bit of freedom for herself, whether its outside of work or even being able to go outside of inazuma (one thing that had hit a chord in my heart was her desire to visit the other nations especially since inazuma is closed off), much like what she had learnt from her own mother during the quest which makes it even more personal for her. it was a really touching message for both her character and the player, and her dance at the end was beautiful in concluding her feelings
Well, I feel that Jean saying she is more of a Dandelion Knight than a Lionfang Knight, shows that she doesn't need to live up to the same status Lady Vanessa had.
Many people said that jean, ganyu, kokomi, and ayaka are the same people but it's strange for me that I don't really like jean but I like the 3 later(?) Bcs ganyu, kokomi, and ayaka are more self aware and know what they truly want, their own hobbies, and how to cope with stress. I get the sense of jean still haven't figure it out and it is confirmed with diluc voiceline. She idolizes venessa a lot but she should do something different rather than copying venessa 100%. Maybe that's the life lesson for people. You can be at the top of your field yet you still don't know what you want to do in life
@@_eiilise Spoiler alert for those who didnt finish Ayaka's quest yet I love her dancing so much and we can finally hear the MC's voice again cuz they humming Ayaka's theme!
You know, in the last video's comment section i saw a person saying something like: "many people mistake him for a hero type character". That had me thinking: what do we know about Aether? Like, we know everyone's favorite food, whether they like sunny weather or not, characters tell us the most tragic stories ever only in a few hours since we met the first time. But as for MC! we know almost nothing about him. In each and every quest traveler just plays an errand boy, whether it character's story, or HIS. Aether's his main emotion - careless smile. That's what I like in Inazuma: his emotions are evolving and his feelings are being shown. I think traveler, whether it's Lumine or Aether, deserves more love and attention not only from us fans, but from the story itself.
Everybody must understand that the MC is being cautious especially to the authority. Thus, the traveler refused the notion to rebel against the ruler. Well, until MC knew the effect of it to the people affected. This is like real life scenario `yanno.
@@adamizham3319 Not anymore his focus. Sure the "reunion" wasn't he hoped to be but his focus now is to understand what led the sibling to join the Abyss. We will get a lot more archon hypocrisy/lies once we arrive in Sumeru. After all, Dainsleif said "The God of Wisdom's enemy is wisdom itself, and the oasis of knowledge is a mirage in the desert of ignorance. In the city of scholars there is a push for folly, yet the God of Wisdom makes no argument against it." Only the archons know what vision bearers are capable of. The chinese of allogenes is genshin so. The hatred for the archons by some players, abyss/dainsleif might be a too much if we going by rl gnosticism since the concept of that have the 7 focuses only on the material stuff and there's this one being that stands above it and thinks of his/her creation as abominations once starts to think. So if the equivalent of the demiurge is the Sustainer then their hatred should be directed to that as the archons are only there.
Yeah getting invited to join a revolution out of nowhere is not really something he/she would immediately agree and he/she doesn't even have any personal connection on the country. Starting a revolution on a archon that he/she just want to meet is really counter productive to his/her goal.
I don’t get all the racket of people saying that the MC is being too cautious or too stubborn because towards the quest he/she managed to help them (having no obligation to do so since they are outlanders who’s sole purpose is to find one’s sibling) the Journey that our sibling mentioned could be a connotation that the world Teyvat is falling apart and despite our aid to help, we get just a bit closer to our goal while being involved in the mess that’s happening in each nation. I know it would be frustrating and weight down one’s burden.
yeah, it seems like the traveler's rushing the journey after that event, even though zhongli, dain, and even the sibling already said not to rush because every journey have a meaning.
Yeah, meeting the sibling after a hundred years and having the last memory of them turning to stone and then being left behind again, it is surely more than enough to mentally shaken our protagonist.

When Lady Yae says "a certain fatally flawed friend of mine" she maybe talking about Baal. After all, a euthymia is a short span of "calm state of mind" in the storm inside one's head. It's like the calm before a storm.
I'm pretty sure it's made to be obvious. I figured she was talking about the Raiden Shogun when first doing the quest, with no outside knowledge of the story quest. I wasn't 100% correct considering it was about Ei, but it's pretty obvious.
My guess as to why we are suddenly like "No more side quests" - Maybe because we just had a fresh glimpse of our sibling and so our goal has been renewed in our mind. We got oh so close to our sibling just to be out of reach. It would certainly put me on a more one track mind.
Ayaka: Help us repeal the Vision Hunt Decree! Aether: I am not obligated to help you. I only want to meet with the Raiden Shogun. Ayaka: If you do I’ll take you on a date… Aether: Sold!
The reason why Aether refuses to participate in another "nation-wide action" may be that this is the fist time ever he's asked to fight against the archon. In Mondstadt he fought the dragon, which is probably something he used to do. In Liyue he was just investigating the death. So, Aether refuses to help not because he doesn't want to help and wants some profit for him (let us remember that his sister asked Aether to discover the true face of the world, which means he just has to travel around) but because he's scared. When he sees the consequences traveler is fully into it
at first I was also surprised when aether refused to help, but thinking about it again, the events of liyue and monstadt weren't exactly voluntary as well, it was more of he got caught up on it while trying to meet venti and rex lapis, this he might really wanted to do things as simple as he can XD
I feel like Tejima used to have cryo vision because of losing someone he cares for a long time. Then, the hydro vision suit best to the samurai guy for his care to the people around him. And finally, I guess Domo supposedly used to have anemo vision for his free spirit of following his one and only ambition. Thats my guesses while doing the archon quest
It’s even worse when at that point before Yae Miko reminds you that stripping somebody of their vision is stripping them of their ambition(and memories).

The doggo is very cute. I wanted to hug it the instant I saw it lol. I think the three requests would convince someone to help, especially if they were already leaning against the decree (as Aether was from his experiences in Ritou) Personal/first hand experience is far more convincing than someone simply telling you anecdotes.
The reason why this time always said“no side quests” is because Traveler is impatient and defensive --after his sister refused to leave, his friends zhongli and Venti seem hidden something from him.

I feel like people are forgetting that the traveler’s objective has changed. Before, they went on a journey to find their sibling, with no specific way in mind other than to learn more about how the nations work and gain allies. That’s why they could’ve allowed themselves to help Mondstadt and Liyue without much thought. However, now they have already found their sibling and are on a different mission - to find the truth of this world. And their way of doing it is finding the unknown god first and foremost. The top priority they have right now is to meet the Raiden Shogun. They can’t allow themselves to join a rebellion which would really affect their standing in Inazuma, and might get them captured before they even met here. Only after the traveler learned of what the vision hunt decree did to Inazuma’s people did they decide to help out.
24:30 Here's my speculation: i believe the raiden shogun is putting up an act to meet the expectations people have of a deity and ruler She is cold and fearsome, yet repectable , but when she's alone She's actually really a kind softy who has anxiety to show her true self arround people, this explains her lack of emotion during her "act". perhaps there's more about the vision hunt decree, did she come up with the idea or did someone persuade her to do so, a harbinger like scaramouche? anyways when it comes to baal's personality i speculate she is like Mii the leader of the flame emperor guild from the anime BOFURI aka I dont want to get hurt so i'll max out my defence. to me this would make sense as how is mihoyo going to pull of friendship with baal? she will become a playable character after all, and all playable characters have friendship feature and teapot dialogue.
Playing through quests & then rewatching them through Bwaap's eyes afterwards is something I look forward to every update. I like to think your voice is Aether's canon voice lol.

does anyone realizes how evil the Vision is? Ambition, dream, hope...all of this are in people’s mind, but according to the story, Vision is able to take them out from people and sealed them in. Once someone’s Vision been taken, this person loses all his wishes and memories related to it...
This quest kinda rose up a question. Does throwing out vision isn't the same as losing one? Because Jiangxue (the guy near the Wangshu Inn, whose vision he'd thrown away) seems completely normal.
According to keqing vision story, where she tried to dispose her own vision, somehow the vision still keep appearing back to her until she finally gave up of disposing it

I’m sure they also don’t want to start a civil war against an archon. If they do that here perhaps the other archons will consider him a threat which will make meeting with them to get information about his sister and the abyss order extremely difficult.
Imagine running errands for 2 nations, saved both and they just respond with "Idk ask another country"
Yeah after saving 2 nations and zhongli not telling them about khaenri'ah because of his contract, it seems like the traveler just wants to uncover the past and complete their journey to get answers from their sibling
Just use "they" dude smh
In Monstad, Aether helped them because he didnt have clues where to searh for his sister and just helped them out.
In Liuey, he helped them because he got accused to be a murder, and later sealed that sea monster because it could kill many people and destroy Liuey and maybe other nations.

@@justwannabeyours2649 agreed
I get where people are coming from where they say Ayaka's quest is just a date or we don't learn about her, but is it weird that I interpreted it differently? We learn something about Ayaka. That she is tired of working. I hated how Jean was just "maybe I am a dandeion knight" because she doesn't address her workaholism (yknow, thats why she passed out). Ayaka realizes that she is wasting her life working and she is now trying to be happy. We go to a festival with her and we watch her dance. I appreciated it because you can tell during the festival and after her dance she feels guilty about being this carefree and we're here to reassure that it's okay for her to relax.
lmao i actually forgot jean's story quest. i only remember the bar scene at the end with everybody
same actually! i think the possible notions of it being a 'date' is sweet and all, but what rlly struck at me too was ayaka just learning to be able just tie away from the formality of being a noble and experience a bit of freedom for herself, whether its outside of work or even being able to go outside of inazuma (one thing that had hit a chord in my heart was her desire to visit the other nations especially since inazuma is closed off), much like what she had learnt from her own mother during the quest which makes it even more personal for her. it was a really touching message for both her character and the player, and her dance at the end was beautiful in concluding her feelings
You can be at the top of your field yet you still don't know what you want to do in life
ayaka’s character is so endearing. her story quest is just wholesome and gives the character justice.

Yep, oddly enough, considering how much time we spend with them, the traveler and paimon are the characters we know least about.
@@Mimivomi It's not that odd, it's a pretty popular narrative device.

Yeah you can't piss someone off and then ask for their help. It's quite a reasonable reaction
Or maybe he's just fed up with everyone promising to help him find his sibling and just going "ehe" after all his efforts
@@adamizham3319
Not anymore his focus. In the city of scholars there is a push for folly, yet the God of Wisdom makes no argument against it."
Only the archons know what vision bearers are capable of.
Guess meeting our lost sibling prematurely took a toll on the MC.
yeah, it seems like the traveler's rushing the journey after that event, even though zhongli, dain, and even the sibling already said not to rush because every journey have a meaning.
Yeah, meeting the sibling after a hundred years and having the last memory of them turning to stone and then being left behind again, it is surely more than enough to mentally shaken our protagonist.

Here's my speculation:
i believe the raiden shogun is putting up an act to meet the expectations people have of a deity and ruler
She is cold and fearsome, yet repectable , but when she's alone She's actually really a kind softy who has anxiety to show her true self arround people, this explains her lack of emotion during her "act".
perhaps there's more about the vision hunt decree, did she come up with the idea or did someone persuade her to do so, a harbinger like scaramouche?
anyways when it comes to baal's personality i speculate she is like Mii the leader of the flame emperor guild from the anime BOFURI aka I dont want to get hurt so i'll max out my defence.

@@BulletBastion yeah she fought a sea dragon w/o a vision she'd still always win lol
All the geo vision holders wouldn’t care 😭
@@aoerdeng well Albedo would probably stop with his research, Noelle would give up trying to be a knight and definitely stop being everyone's maid. Ningguang would probably step down as the Tianguang (definitely spelled that wrong) and stop her pursuit of more Mora. Zhongli would be the only one that would remain unchanged since he doesn't have a vision to begin with.
@Co uhh not at all???? Albedo doesn't exactly need his vision to do most of his research.
Noelle actually felt she was cheating when she got her vision at first and didn't want it, and she canonically has super strength without it. It wouldn't affect her desire to become a knight, which she wanted to do before she got her vision anyway.
Ningguang was tianquan before she had her vision and she had always cared about money since she was a child because she was born into poverty. In her vision story, she was literally trying to sell a dead vision orb before it activated and became her own and she was annoyed she couldn't sell it anymore.
Honestly, I really thought Touma can transform into a dog. I was simping so hard lol, after knowing he's not I was so disappointed dude. wtf!
I believe you mean 'Thoma'. What? No, I don't get irrationally angry whenever I see that spelling! SHUT UP!
@@GlassedGamer haha.. I get you. I know the spelling but I was just thinking if it was Japanese then it would never make sense that its spelled "Thoma" there is no TH in Japanese. But then again, he is from Fontaine. So it's just my personal preference, sorry though if it does not sit well with you. hehe
@@yui7905 Nah I getcha. Just, as a long-time fan of the Toaru Majutsu series, there's something physically wrong with me whenever I see it spelled 'Thoma'. I think it was honestly one of the first things I said when he was introduced. "Thaaaat's not right."
@@GlassedGamer Indeed, can't agree more.
20:47. ......That's not wha my face says 😆 LOL 😅😅😂👏🏻👏🏻
It's really interesting how the traveller is less willing to help others if they don't see it beneficial to finding their sibling. I wonder how this will develop? They must be getting tired of being side tracked
They know now that they've already been separated for 500 years. I imagine they don't want to waste any more time :(
does anyone realizes how evil the Vision is? Ambition, dream, hope...all of this are in people’s mind, but according to the story, Vision is able to take them out from people and sealed them in. Once someone’s Vision been taken, this person loses all his wishes and memories related to it...
That's why it's a blessing and a curse
Manifested ambition does present a rather obvious weakness when it exists in physical form, yes.
baal: gib vision
traveler: don't have
baal: *wat*
can't wait to see how you felt about the rest of the archon quest! I'm still reeling from it honestly. The cutscenes this patch are phenomenal!
given the VA of Kamisato Ayaka is the same as Katheryne, I can't help hearing Katheryne everytime Ayaka speaks
14:43 when she says for to be stripped of ones vision is to be stripped of ones ambitions sound SOOOOOOOOOOO much like mona like a lot much
This quest kinda rose up a question. Does throwing out vision isn't the same as losing one? Because Jiangxue (the guy near the Wangshu Inn, whose vision he'd thrown away) seems completely normal.
According to keqing vision story, where she tried to dispose her own vision, somehow the vision still keep appearing back to her until she finally gave up of disposing it
Maybe the only time losing Vision leads to losing ambitions is when an Archon forcibly taking it from someone.
We have Diluc who doesn't use his Vision for a while after what happened with his father and how the Knights responded to that.
@KYRIELIGHT ok hmmm... that's kind of true
Can I take a moment to appreciate your profile pic. I'd eat McDo everyday if that was the one at the cashier.
