Oh Alexa, such a fantastic lesson!!!! I really appreciate you and how engaging and practical your lessons are!!! I can see that you put a lot of care and work into these lessons to help us and I personally thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
I learnt french when I was in secondary school and now I’m 40 I wanted to start to learn again. I’m so proud that I remembered so much. I now understand how amazing My french teacher was.
French speaker speaking English, uses full pressure of French words while speaking English. .Ive noticed as a supervisor.. .its general with all the French English speaker. It's there speciality.. I'd like it.
Super Alexa! Les séquences de ce cours été très efficace. I hope you do more like this because the written and listening French are two different planets!
I really liked this dynamic. It gives us a real life idea of where our skills are at and then it allows us to fine tune ourselves by allowing us to read while listening to the conversation.
I'm in Highschool and I'm learning French 1 and its hard for me since I came from learning and speaking Spanish but your videos' have helped me so much!
Merci! Comme d'habitude, je comprends les mots sur la nourriture. Moi typique! I really love your fast spoken French lessons; they highlight what I do - and don't -understand quickly. You are always so lovely and engaging, encore merci!
Hi Alexa!!! I think on the first round i grasped the keywords and could understand the dialogues little clear but on the second round i perfectly understood the conversation👍 Thanks Alexa, i appreciate your videos...
Speaking and listening to a new language is hard but reading and understanding text is much easier mais merci Alexa, je comprends quelque chose maintenant
I didn’t understand much the first time except that it was in a restaurant and that it was about the meal of the day and that she was vegetarian and wanted risotto with mushrooms and a glass of lemonade but when I read it I understood about 90% of what they said and the third time I understood all of it ,. I feel proud to have figured that much out but I wish I could understand spoken French better the first time.. I’m still learning though
The third time around I can clearly understand what's said, it is as if adapting into the language but not quite yet as good as I am now in English. It takes practice. Very handy in learning new language, bravo!!
I was introduced to watch your teaching channel , and I realized that your videos are so helpful ❤️❤️❤️ I'm learning french in Paris now but I still can't understand even a word, thanks to your teaching ❤️❤️.
Bonjour ! Alexa Your French lesson to improve the listening skill was very interesting ! I could guess a bit and could understand a bit ! When you explained the meaning of the sentences it seemed very easy ! Ma'am,you are a wonderful French teacher and therefore,I like to learn from you ! 😃
Lol...in the spoken one I heard the man say blanket duvet and in me I thought that may be the lady was negotiating for beddings.🤣 I agree defeat on spoken. But with written am miles ahead😄. I mean I understood like 70% written.
Bonjour,, thanks for your lessons they are very helpful,, I have a question that I asked people lives in France and they didn't know the answer My question is" in road signs we see signs like" Val de loire" for example and others with "du" what's the difference between them and when can I use de or du Thank you..
A question regarding "Donnez-Moi". I have heard so many opinions on how to order things. I have heard that saying "Je voudrais" in Paris is frowned upon but ok in other areas, that "J'aimerais" is best....I would really appreciate your insight. I know being polite is the most important thing, but if we are trying to encourage people to speak to us instead of switching to english - is one phrase better than another?
I think je voudrais and j'aimerais are pretty much the same, in some places people may find it a little impolite, you can just say the name of the thing you want and then s'il vous plaît, or est ce que je pourrais avoir can also work (could I have)
Without subtitles i understood its in resturant and she asked about dish of the day and thats she vegetarian and asked serveur for suggestion , with subtitles i try to comprehend sentence structure i have a question alexa how many words in french i should learn to pass the level of upper intermediate ?
enjoyed that format...understanding fast spoken french is always difficult for the learner.

Plat du jour in English is "what's on special". If you translate word by word, obviously "the dish of the day" is the way to go
