Love the elimination of divisions. Georgia’s schedule the past few years has been way too easy. They haven’t beaten a top 10 team on the road since 2018 Kentucky
neither has alabama last one was 2018 LSU
So beating Ole Miss, MO, TN, and UK, all of which were ranked and MO and Ole Miss were both either top 10 or were borderline isn’t a good enough schedule? They need to play a ranked team ever week to have a mediocre schedule huh 😂
You casuals love being loud and wrong. Over the last few years 2 of the top 3 SEC teams have come from the EAST, aka Georgia’s division. If you’re gonna be a clueless hater then at least find a better argument.

There will just be more calls for SEC leaders to not get into the playoff. No one will go undefeated anymore. The Dawgs are dead now, no longer playing soft SEC EAST teams.

@@Hayyyward The SEC literally added two of the top 10 best programs of all time. Yes, they are tough teams. And yes, they are fit to be SEC teams. Clemson, OSU, FSU, Oregon, etc. are all tough teams. They just play in softer conferences talent wise. Except for OSU, they play in arguably the toughest division in sports.

I guess those Georgia St's, Gramblings, Chattanooga's, Samfords, Mercers, Lousiana-Monroes, Middle Tenn. St's, Austin Peay's, UTSA, "rivalries" have to be protected at all costs.

You know what is crazy sec west supposed to be the toughest side lost a non conference game excluding the state of Mississippi. Texas am Alabama Auburn LSU all lost to a non conference opponent can we quit acting like the sec west is the toughest side. Hell Missouri and Kentucky are the only ones to beat a ranked non conference opponent. I wish I was on there I would have asked who they beat out of conference referring to the sec.

Won’t matter anymore . Sec would have 6 teams in the playoffs this year if it were the 12 team playoff . The sec will get at least 3-4 teams in most years

Georgia has seen its last championship. The Dawgs can no longer dominate the soft EASTERN underbelly of the SEC and go to the championship game.
I think Alabama has seen it's last championship, and the dynasty is dead....Michigan saw to that in the Rose Bowl. transfer portal has created more parity in the SEC. Bama will not get by Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, and Ole Miss every year consistently as they have in the past. Bama will be likely a consistent 9-3 or 10-2, as well as an occasional 8-4

Texas actually has a pretty easy schedule compared to Oklahoma.. all they have to do is beat Oklahoma & Georgia and the rest of the schedule is pretty much given.. Mississippi State, Vandy, Florida, Arkansas & Kentucky should be easy wins
I predict Oklahoma is in for a rude awakening & Texas does alot better than them.. I still think Texas will lose some but not nearly as much as Oklahoma

I am sure that CBS executives are now kicking themselves for not renewing the SEC contract instead of letting the SEC go to ESPN. They could have renewed the contract for the same amount they are paying for second tier Big10 games. They could have had the Georgia/Texas and Texas/Texas A&M games instead of Rutgers vs Maryland and Iowa vs Indiana.
LMFAO. Yes, because Vandy v Kentucky really brings in the viewership, same goes for Missouri, SC, and Mississippi teams. No one cares about them outside of their states and the SEC.
@calvinhobbes6118 how many times have you seen Vandy vs Kentucky on CBS? I will answer for you? NEVER. NADA. Because they have never appeared on CBS! CBS only broadcasted the best SEC games, the biggest matchups during their contract. They chose the best game of the week and sometimes the best two games ESPN got whatever was left, including Vandy vs Kentucky. Now, they will be stuck with games like Rutgers vs Maryland and Michigan State vs Iowa. Since you think so little of the SEC, I am sure you will thrilled to see games like that in the BIG10.

I've seen multiple media outlets say Texas has the most notable games in its inaugural season in the SEC. The SEC has to be pumped to have the Horns in the fold...and CFB fans have to be super happy.

The audacity of people these days, commenting about things they're clearly ignorant about. Since you need to be spoon-fed, because you lack the ability to look this up yourself... I'll be brief. The Pac was first to go to 9 games. Negotiated in their TV deal. Then it was the Big12, negotiated the extra game into their TV deal. Then it was he B1G, along with their last TV deal (see the pattern?). Then, the SEC wants to go to 9 with the addition of OU & TX, but ESPN doesn't want to pay for the extra conference games (given that the contract was signed before any expansion). So the SEC decides to stay at 8 until ESPN pays for 9th or is allowed to put the 9th game on another network. But somehow you think they should leave money on the table to go to 9 anyway and not get compensated for it like everyone else has! If someone or an entity bends or changes their philosophy based on trolls calling them "jokers" or " cowards" then they were weak to begin with.
At least Texas is playing a great non conference game and not scheduling a pathetic scrub at the end of the season like the sec likes to do.

Vandy is there due to their academics and even though their football program is terrible, bringing in either Virginia or the tarheels would be also an embarrassment to our conference, they are basketball schools and their image and fan base doesn't have the excitement as a Clemson does. Clemson and maybe Florida State are football programs that bring the hype and name that the SEC would want.
