Honestly the only setting I would recommend people to change is the weight setting because caring that stuff back and forth can be mind numbing
Honestly that’s actually one of the things I wouldn’t change, I find that is sort of the core gameplay loop and figuring out how to get around those issues (carrying an Anky, ect) is what makes the farming seem more realistic.

It won’t let me change that for my Dino’s lol no matter what number I put it too. It’s always the same
I always change it. After playing on PvP servers with infinite weight, it's hard to go back

Thanks for the tips. I don't have time to wait for taming or breeding so my rates are definitely turned up on that. I love single player. I can go at my own pace. I used to have a pve tribe. On playstation now I'm Xbox. And been single player since. Thank you for all the videos. Definitely helps and every now and then I love red text. 😂

Something I like to change is the baby food multiplier, having fast babies is more quality of life for solo, having to play nearly 4 days of PLAYTIME like 3 hours a day is crazy, NOT changing the food drain I dont think people think about, but it makes something like wyvern babies super easy to get, or anything else like that, normally you have to go through the process of sleeping a wyvern, nabbing milk then raising a kid, without changing the drain, you can just nab an egg and run like hell and the kids fine now. completely skipping a key point in getting a dragon, able to raise a dragon at pteradon level rather than like 60+ or whenever the sleep darts are unlocked, So making the drain high enough to where they still need to eat, and eat a good bit, but not where you dont gotta feed babies

Anyone else's fuel consumption rate just randomly changing? I could swear it started at 1 but changed to 1.6, then to 1.88, and 2.11
I am about to download this game and intend on only playing solo /pve ... is this the type of game i can stay on 1 map and build a huge base and just do the grind of farming /harvesting and surviving? Or is there certain quests and missions i must complete to do certain things? And whats the best map for a guy who just likes to casual play / grind / mess around on a vast open world solo?
stay on 1 map. and survive.
Start on the island and if you like it if you beat it just play other maps if you want
I play single player because of years of fail multiplayer experiences, since Ultima Online! There's good things, but the toxicity is overwhelming...
So I like fun. I like not doing everything professionally, calculated, mathematically exact.
I also called my nephew to play alongside me. He can use split screen or he plays on his PS4. For it it's good to have friendly fire OFF among other settings.

In "singleplayer setting" Dinos get a bit of a bonus to health per level and huge bonus to overall damage the moment they are tamed, increasing it by like 30 to 50% making the game far too easy,
it created a common misconception that Bosses are weak in this mode, but it is not true at all, I lowered the stat gain of my dinos to official and Bosses are as they should be, even tested it by disabling the setting and managed to beat Alpha Broodmother with simmilar effectivnes, she did about 20000 dmg to a dino with 100 armor and 30000 to 80.armor in both fights.
If you want to see my damage:
Stats per level
Damage 0.106
Add per level
Damage 0.04
Affinity
Damage 0.194
When it comes breeding, last time I used 1.4 maturation and imprint interval at 0.1, it is possible that 0.4 maturation is better but I can't remember right now. It is fast because I don't like to sit for hours, but 1.4 worked for most dinos. 0.1 imprint time is about 8 min per imprint, works pretty well for smaller dinos but it is an effort for bigger ones. You may want to lower it for otters as they grow too fast. Seriously just change both settings often and you will eventually find your sweet spot, you can go back to menu and change it before baby matures to ensure 100% if you have to.

Ilove this setting. I use these to the T. They are amazing.
I know u do not use Mods, but can you recommend some quality of life Mods or make a video also would be great.
Some QoL mods I find useful are Awesome Spyglass (shows you the dino's wild stats, taming method, and a list and qty of preferred foods to tame), Dino Storage V2, and S+ Structures. Those are 3 you really want.
Recently I've been playing with a friend on Svartalfheim (custom mod map by Nekatus who did Fjordur) and my friend showed me a mod called Wooden Hanging Bridges so you can make like a rope bridge a la Indiana Jones Temple of Doom style. I believe there's a companion or updated mod that has that bridge as well as other bridges in it too. That REALLY makes your Redwood tree platform bases pop.
Also the Ark Additions The Collection and Paleo Ark: Legends Expansion mods add in new dinos, some of which have crazy new ways to tame and adds in Paleo variants of many existing dinos but changes them up a little- from colours, patterns, speed, HP, attack. Definitely adds in a bit of a kick.
I would say the ONLY true QOL Mod is Structures Plus.

Did they fix the Single Player resources not respawning bug, where harvested nodes don’t come back if you exit the game while they havent respawned?

I like survival games and you are right, the early game is the most fun. I play ARK, The Long Dark, The Forest, Subnautica, ect., the early is way more fun the the mid or endgame. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of satisfaction in those stages but yeah, early game.
idk why but everytime im trying to start singleplayer and i log out it wont let me load in again and it just crashes

The biggest thing i wish i could change is that time carries on like on official when you log off
its because of this that i might rent a server out just so i can play by myself. I like time continuing when i log off. only if this was available in single player mode.

Started playing with these settings and I've found myself to be over encumbered pretty quickly when collecting simple resources, Is this normal? Should I knock down the yield amount a touch?
i would just up the weight setting so when u put a point into weight it goes up a lot more

Anyone know how to get the Hawaiian shirts? I see it's in the cooking pot, I put the meat in the cooking pot but once I do that, I can't get it
You can just look up commands to spawn the shirts and just throw out the meat
I always have to set my FOV to 110 in admin command, but it messes up my spyglass and aim on my weapons. Ark really needs an Fov slider. :)

Question: If I have a world that has 0.5 difficulty Dino’s and I change the slider to 1.0, do all the Dino’s including tamed ones get scaled?
Nope the dinos stay at their current levels new ones spawn with higher level. You need to wipe all dinos to see the new levels or wait till they die and respawn naturally. Sorry nothing can be done for your current tames.
What is the max in the top part??? I have by taming a 3.0, can i put 6 or even 10???

1 life time for every single setting in any game no matter if its from 1999 or 2023 put aa OFF MOTION BLUR = 0
Is it normall when applying these settings and starting a solo game, then close the game and restart all my settings are reset? Do i need to put it each time a want to play??
Nope, unless you uninstall the game, all these settings should be saved. The settings work for every map that you play so you don't have to reset the setting each time you want to play on a different map. P.S, if you want to play on Aberration you should have the night and day cycle on default as it would make it easier if you want to go to the surface area.

I know this is for single player, but. Ark Survival Evolved is broken now on Xbox. No admin command bar. Dedicated servers are unless now. Unless you buy Survival Ascended and pay for a service to run a Dedicated server. Not happening. It is a real same after all these years.
My dino levels are so low anyone know why and I have both of the settings on that should make them be high level but they are still really bad the best I found is a 120 and I been playing it for 3 week
make sure your difficulty is at the max (first thing on the settings) and once you scroll down a bit you should see a checkbox called 'Maximum Difficulty' make sure that is ticked
Two things
1. Max difficulty 1 only gives you a max dino level of 30, I recommend doing 5 or 6. 5 giving 150, and 6 giving you 180 max.
2. The island has god awful level spawns even on high difficulty settings unfortunately, so if you’re playing on that map, that is probs why
@@kevinnigins9488 Im playing on aberatioin but I did that!! I put my difficulty at 5 but still get all trash lvls and if I do any higher when I leave the game and go to settings its at 1 again even if I put it at anything above 1
@@Shadow-iz4rz All the official map except genesis 2 have awful high level dino spawn rate. It's just one of those things you just have no control except using mods.

Flyer carry pve setting is broken as far as I known. Never worked on my playthrough. This is a single player / non dedicated server problem a lot of people have. You can still pick up your tames at least

Fully explain the “maths” involved with your baby mature speed and cuddle interval settings, you never explained how those work “in tandem” or in general. What math? Im asking genuinely and only have 13 hours in
y’all imma tell y’all something no one told me when you player single player ark after like the first couple days in game once you’ve explored all the map everything stops spawning for example i was trynna take a queen bee but all the hives were duds you need to do admin code destroy wild dinos otherwise nothing will ever spawn
