I flipping love Rockapella. I collected their albums as a kid and still sing along with everything they put out :)
I love the folgers song.. Its funny but I do. I used to sing it ALL the time.
I saw these guys in concert with my brother in Sammy's Showroom in my local Harrah's Casino. It was a great show, and they're still in town. I might go see them again before they go to the next town.
I think Folders made the right choice by picking these guys to do there song.
Love Rockapella. Ah - the Al Roker song got stuck in my head. Same with the Doctor Pepper one =)
These guys are just amazing. They cease to amaze me.
What a voice!! Had no idea they did that NBC song!
I just saw them this past weekend and they were amazing!!
I think I'm going to go have a bar of Almond Joy with a cup of Folgers coffee. lol
This was awesome!Rockapella shines no matter what they sing! Sigh........I do wish they'd come to Seattle so I could have the chance to hear them live.
Rocapella is the best, gotta love them, brings back memories
Whats with the looped or poorly timed transitions?
Regardless of their personnel, Rockapella sings and performs their butts off night after night. Whether you like the new material or members, great music is great music.
Haha! That's great! I loved hearing all those commercial jingles!
actually there were 2 bass singers before Barry Carl.
David Stix was there for a year
Charlie Evett was there for the 2nd year.
these guys r totally awesome! i saw them live a few days ago. they really rock! lol
Lol you gotta admit, the Preparation H song was hilarious though =]
7:03 gotta love that mountain goat aroma.
Oh God, they're just so great..
I really enjoyed the Folgers and NBC commercials, and the last thingy ;)
Scott is cute!!
oh, I just love this group Rockapella just love them
That was the coolest thing ever.
Of all time.
These guys rock.....beautiful music.
I love the blonde guy's voice.
I think the measure of a great a cappella group is if they can make the hair stand up on your arms singing about coffee.
I loved this jingle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn now I want an Almond Joy!
I can't wait until these guys come to Toronto
Personally I like when it repeats the Almond Joy jingle because that one's so rockin' I wanna hear it again. It's like you knew and did it just for me :D
Love the folders jingle classic !
Hahaha. "And sensing a source of compensation, we quickly obliged."
why does it go backwards on transitions and repeat what i just watched? good live video other than that
X3 I love these guys
Everybody sing! A-ring-a-worm, a-ring-a-worm...
folgers is probably going to be the staple that rockapella will always be most known about. especially for casual fans like me, whether they like it or not. it's a damn good jingle tho. always brings a smile to my face and makes me crave some coffee. cept then i got to starbucks instead of making me some folgers.
No Jeff Thacher joined in 93 or something. The group well predates that. Several members have left in the 25 years the group has existed and it was usually for some career or personal goal. As far as I have heard everyone has always left on good terms and they remain friends.
Holy freaking amazing!
1:21-1:48 This is my favorite Almond Joy jingle.
What year is this commercial from?! I've been searching for it and can't find it for the life of me
@@shannonaten1 Sorry, I don’t know the exact year, but it’s from the 1990s. Late 1990s I believe.
I love it!
No, the group predated Jeff Thacher. Even their first couple of years on WITWICS they were without Jeff.
I wanna find the Al Roker jingle haha. So good.
Rockapella Rocks.. Acapella !!!!
No, actually Barry was the second bass singer. The first guy was only there for like a year, or less, but he did not found Rockapella.
I like these commercials but where in the world is Carmen San Diego?
@jraddd
Sean left shortly after Jeff joined the group , he did not like the direction the group was taking , adding a drum machine was not what he wanted for his acapella group.
I'd let someone pee in my coffee if they got Rockapella to come sing at my birthday party.
Oh yeah, fade to the same scene. Editing is kind of unnecessary here.
Well, according to Wikipedia, they did the theme for seasons 6 and 7
barry carl!! i miss him
Folger is at 6:50
+360player0000 Thank you!!!
My hero!
2018?
Jeff came before Kevin
Matt Lauer was an old promotion the Today Show ran. I think viewers had to guess where he was an won a prize or something.
I MISS BARRY TOO!!!!! :(
Yeah I miss Barry too :( !!!!!!!
Carmen Santiago! ¿Dónde en el Brasil es Carmen Santiago? 5 minute mark, Preparation H = good stuff.
here are your original members.
1)Steve Keys
2)Sean Altman
3)Elliot Kerman
4)David Stix
David Stix left and was replaced with Charlie Evett
then Evett left and was replaced with Barry Carl.
then Steve Keys left and was replaced with Scott Leonard
Sean Altman left and was replaced with Kevin Wright.
Jeff Thatcher joined
Barry Carl left and was replaced with George Baldi III
and then Elliot left and was replaced with John K Brown.
tah dah
@boneyard009 ...sorry but you are wrong....the original group started in 1986 , Jeff didnt join the group until 1993 , Sean left in 1996 and Kevin Wright took his place. , , the original line up was as follows.
Steve Keyes,Sean Altman,Elliot Kerman and David Stix ,...David left after 1 year and Charlie Evett took his place...Charlie left after 1 year and Barry Carl took his place.....tah dah
@tigerman4 Doubt it, maybe the did start off in 1986, but they alway had the one guy playing drumbs and beats from out of his mouth..Isnt that Jeff???? kind of confused here cause i dont hear the name od Sean anywhere when the are introduce on a video back in 2007 or something.....
6:49 Folgers, their best work.
Art so powerful, it transcends it's former commercial purpose. Talk about subversion! Anyone knows the original story/movie "Rollerball"? We've got the same happening here! Corpororate's GO HOME !!!!
Actually I think they will >= known for Where in the World is Carmen SanDiego.
The best part of... this video starts at 6:47
well there's a difference between singing and getting paid for your creation and writing and singing a song to sell a specific third product. That would be selling out. Still good art can be found in the most unlikely places, as their Folger's diddy proves.
It’s all about Jeff
so, did they actually do almond joy commercials? cause i dont remember them. and did they do the theme song for the today show?
And then they started poking us with a Sharp Stick wondering where the "Funny" went.
Awwww! I wanted to hear "Long Cool Woman"! And you cut the video! You evil person, you! (Sings to himself: "OOOOHH A way mom mom weeyayyy - Saturday night I was downtown/Workin' for the FBI . . . etc")
ring worms, preparation H, wtf
Folgers.... FOR THE WIN!
Damn now I want a Dr. Pepper.
Chewy Coconut?....good song....
@boneyard009 Jeff didnt appear on a CD until 1994 (vocobeat) and he didnt appear on a USA cd until 1995 (primer) but as far as the original group , they were founded in 1986 and Jeff wasnt part of it 3 cds were released in Japan (TO NY , FROM NY and BASH) and Jeff was not on them period , as he wasnt part of the group then , Jeff wasnt even on (Carmen sandiego 1992) (do it acapella 1990) and (Zappas Universe 1991)(modern acapella 1992) , WIKI it if you have to, I own every cd they made sheesh
Stop trying to be an editor, are you trying to ruin a decent video? Anyway, Rockapella is amazing.
like if you wanted a dr.pepper after they sang about it
I don't know what it is but whenever they move together it's really sexy...
Yeah, but they have completly different styles. Barry was more of a background singer than they made George. But Barry still had the lower voice!
Great music. Horrid edit.
Why did they say matt lauer instead of Carmen Sandiego? Did they lose the rights to say her name or what that a joke I missed?
Don't worry. I've got your back 11 years later. Where in the world is Matt Lauer was a segment on the today show in the 90s when Carmen San Diego was at its most popular.
@tigerman4 Jeff batcher was always with them since the beggining..Stil would like to know why the other guy left??
The video editing/transitions annoy me to no end
...Coconut!
black guy says deep dark chocolate made me laugh my ass off haha sorry if that sounds racist
Somebody forgot "the best part of waking up upon" editing this video. Man! Holy $&!^ that was terrible editing.
yes Jeff came before Kevin , Jeff is probably the reason Sean Altman left to be honest , Sean wasn't there much longer after Jeff joined.
dude... this would have been ok if you wouldnt have repeated so much
You're not missing anything - Folgers tastes like ass.
George is good but he's not as good as Barry
