Yep gorgeous bike!, I own one myself ... I came from liter bikes, riding 20 years, and the FZ6 is the best bike I've ever owned, I re did the front and back suspension, threw on dominator pipes, shes wicked... not going to sell her .. a life keeper.
It seems to be a going thing that people upgrade the suspension to be fair, luckily the previous owner had upgraded the rear shock and fork springs with thicker oil in the forks so I don’t have to faff around with that and to be fair his done a lot of other things. Can’t fault it at all if I’m honest, just a few things I have in my basket that’ll I’ll get when the bank balance allows it🤣
What's it like with acceleration? The guy I bought mine off told me to be careful in 1st/2nd gear as when you hit 5k revs it wants to wheelie. I passed my mod 2 yesterday and I'm too scared to gun it as I don't want to wheelie 😂
Congratulations on the mod 2 mate! Power is very smooth, with it being a inline 4 they like to rev out as long as your liner with your right hand you won’t have an issue mate, from my experience the front wheel won’t life unless you want it to out your on a crest of a hill or hit a bump while accelerating etc. it’s more of you roll on the power and then roll off and then snap the power back on it will lift as the acceleration has compressed the forks so naturally they won’t to lift back up if that makes sense mate
Great Bike Mate! Quick question, what tyres are you using? I have the 2008 model (not the S2) and i'm looking for new ones for the upcoming season. Thank you! Greetings from Austria!
Thank you very much mate! I run the Metzler Roadtec 01 SE’s. Honestly can’t fault them at all, it was only yesterday I had to replace the rear because it was squared off but possibly the best tyre I’ve road on. Very confidence inspiring too. I think they’d be great for you especially being out in Austria I bet you get a lot more try roads and sunshine then the UK🤣 so you’ll be able to use the tyre to its full potential👌🏼
@@1MaxThePetrolHead Thanks for the very fast response! This sounds really positive. You certainly helped me with this one. Yea man i'm hoping for good weather and can't wait until spring is coming. Unfortunately the british weather sucks - i'm feeling with you, but don't let is stop you! 🏍️😃
No worries dude, I like to help when I can mate. I’m hoping for a good summer too if I’m honest🤣 weather over here seems to be a lot better then it was a few weeks ago although we just need a heavy down pour to wash all the salt and grit of the roads mate
@@steve00alt70 I used to use my bike to commute to work as that was my only mode of transport until last year and I got a car, I’ll still ride in winter but when the weather is okay. I think a lot of people put their bikes away in the winter because the bike is just their toy and you can’t have as much fun in winter when you have to consider ice and cold weather etc
@@1MaxThePetrolHead oh yes I understand, im gonna try and use mine as much as possible but I hope we only have a few bad cold days. I'll probably ride until late December. January is a really icy month. Then the bike out again in late march when spring is here.

Are the original exhausts a deal breaker? Is it easy to throw on a couple aftermarket exhausts?
Is my bike since 2016, i'm happy with her ❤

Does it have a quickshifter ?
@@reynhardtcoetzee9888 it does now but at the time of this video it didn’t, I was just clutch less shifting
@@1MaxThePetrolHead did the quickshift make a big difference on the bike ?
And what power mods would you recommend
Where did you get the seat cowl from bruv
It was already on the bike when I brought it mate
How is fuel consumption when compared to ninja 650/er6f ?
