I don't know about other brands but you can buy big containers of both Churu and Delectables. And the Churu actually ends up being the cheapest option if you buy the big variety containers for them.
I appreciate learning about more of these options. I’ve only been using Churo with the occasional Delectables. I use these to feed my cat his thyroid medication. I put the pill in a small amount of water. Once dissolved, I squeeze in a lickable treat and stir to combine completely. He licks the whole thing so I know he gets the full dose, some calories, and some water. Win-win! He’s happy too. I tell him, “Maui, it’s time for your medicine” twice a day. He comes right over to partake. On the off-chance he doesn’t like the tiny bowl clean, I add a few of his favorite dry treats (which soak up the remaining solution) and he eats the rest. I had given him his pills in pill pockets for a year, but he got tired of them, and I was cutting the pills up smaller and smaller to get him to eat pieces. The lickables are SO much easier! My vet does the same!
Entertaining video. Gordon knows what's up! LOL My two cats eat just about anything as well. When I contacted Nulo about the levels of heavy metals in their food, they sent me a box of sample pouches and coupons. They included four pouches of their treats. Nulo's website has complete nutrient profiles for their wet and dry food. But not the treats. My cats ate the free samples, but I do not buy commercial treats. Chicken thighs are $1.79 a pound. I can not see paying a dollar for half an ounce of processed food. My cats get a tin of sardines on Sardine Sunday, and homemade bone broth as their treats. You and Gordon have a great day!
I get a delectable 54 pack for like 30$ from walmart, about 55 cents per tube. I am so glad these got a good rating because my cat LOVES them and no wonder he has not gained any weight because they have a good nutrition profile.
Thank you for all the useful information, ironically I was just getting ready to buy some at the store and didn’t know which brand to get and you really helped me decide hopefully my cats well enjoy them
Thanks for mentioning consistency! My kitty savours her treats and goes slow. Sometimes if it’s too watery and she’s eating right from the tube, the treat ends up on the floor 🤦♀️ I tend to avoid tiki cat for that reason.
With my two cats, it's Hartz for the win. Inaba Churu is runner up. None of the others are even in the race. You can get usually get great deals on the 54 and 72 count Hartz treats.
No lickables for my cat who violently vomits up anything with any gum in it. Nutritional Vet figured that one out.I think they are better than other treats out there with Brewers yeast , worse starches and fillers. Cute Gordon is a foodie! Thank you for covering these treats.❤
I’ve been feeding my cats that Churu since 2020 it’s because that what they love and yes it comes in a lot of flavor. Also the best that I can find here in the Philippines and affordable too. bTW thank you for this video ❤ it’s helpful
The one i give my Ginger Kitty is, "I Love and Love you skin & coat lickables" because he has a skin condition that requires getting cortisone injections to keep him from pulling out his fur so i go out of my way to find grain free, skin friendly options he likes them and can keep from puking them back up unlike most food options for him
We usually buy Churu but last time we were out they didn't have any so we bought the catit ones. Only one of our three cats likes it, whereas two of them like Churu (the other cat hates everything). I think I might pick up the Delectables next.
👍 so they see this! Should really do a video on phosphorus levels in cat food. Very important topic. Not just marketed low phos foods but other foods that happen to have low phos numbers compared to other brands. For example Sheba has some of the lowest phos numbers compared to fancy feast. This is something many dont think about until their furry angels have to be put on special diets, and it's really something we should be paying attention to when deciding what to feed our little tigers.
I agree phosphorus and iodine would be a great topic. So many treats are not even evaluated for these things. Most foods are higher then is good for them, especially iodine.Having a cat with asthma who also just tested high in the normal range for thyroid and kidney values ( retest in three months ) I tend to watch these as best I can if the information is available.I never feed fish, and also limit organ meat. This is a very important topic in cats nutrition.
I give my cats a full tube for breakfast before work, they get can food when I get out of work, and a very small amount of dry to hold them over while I'm at work. Not a fan of dry food , but I don't want them to have to wait 8-12 hours to eat when I'm at work! Is it ok to use these treats as a meal? or is it better to just give them canned food for breakfast and dinner?
Anything to increase the hydration intake is a good thing. I'm surprised Inabu Churu is only rated as average, because it's addictive like crack for cats! 😊
That's interesting, I'm in Australia and there's a brand I've tried called "Fussy Cat" and I noticed you showed a brand called "Fussie Cat." I wonder if there's any connection - makes me think of Shakespeare with the "what's in a name - Fussie Cat, Fussie Cat wherefore art thou Fussie Cat?" thing in Romeo and Juliet"😄
Oh no! Can they eat seafood? You may have better luck finding a tuna or fish treat. Tiki Cat has a Duck treat, but unfortunately it also contains chicken :(
Very informative, I feed Sox the delectables , 3 yrs now , I don't think he cares about flavors , Sox acts like Gordon, he'd eat them all , he's not overweight and only gets a squeeze of a treat in between meals , im sure that upsets him , sometimes he swipes at me , new york
Right off the bat, this video is giving incorrect, or at best, incomplete information. The 25 calorie per pound is for OUTDOOR cats that get a lot more exercise than even the most played with indoor cat. IT is 20 for indoor cats.
Thanks for your comment. The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) does not specify that their calorie recommendations only apply to indoor or outdoor cats. However, WSAVA does note that "these recommendations are for guidance only. Cats are individuals and some may have higher or lower requirements in order to maintain an ideal, trim body condition." If a cat has low activity, a smaller calorie intake may be more appropriate.

Delectables is all I treat my boy with and he loves them!
Mine LOVE the Delectables as well! They'd probably eat half a dozen at once if I let them, haha 😹
I used to give my cat these until I learned they are from Hartz!
My baby boy goes bananas for Delectables!
Thanks ❤ I’m getting a kitten next week I’m so excited and watching all your video one after the other x
I’m getting two kittens Friday can’t wait! Hope you and kitty are getting along well!

Ahh yes, that sounds like a great idea for pills! Gordon's vet also uses them to distract him when he gets his shots
Great breakdown! Love the Gordon taste test at the end too. Thank you. Next purchase we will try Delectables.
Thanks for watching! I hope you cat(s) enjoy Delectables!

I think my two cats would like all of them.
I have purchased Delectables in : chicken, chicken&beef, chicken&duck, tuna, and tuna&shrimp. My cat loves them all.
Yum! Glad to hear your cat is enjoying Delectables 😻
My two cats go crazy for the Tiki Cat ones.
Gordon also loves Tiki Cat!

Delectables Squeeze-ups are the ones we use! Our kitties love them ^_^
Glad to hear you found a treat they love! 😻
Delectables are made by hartz. A company who specializes in hurting animals with their products
Catit is at Costco for $.25 a tube.
Good to know! I should start shopping there :)
Gordon is adorable!!!

Is churu healthy? or a junk food?
Catit any better ?
opinions ?
Gordon says, "Great job human!"

These treats are just meant to be used to supplement meals, not as meal replacements!
Are they all made in United States or in another country.

Great suggestion!
Do you know of any for a cat that is allergic to chicken and can only have Rabbit or Duck?
Oh no! Can they eat seafood? You may have better luck finding a tuna or fish treat. Tiki Cat has a Duck treat, but unfortunately it also contains chicken :(
Churu has been my cat’s favorite…
My cat loves churro he goes crazy and want Moore so I would say churro ❤
Gordon is a Tabby and I've never met a Tabby who leaves food on their plate. 😂🥰
Can't argue with that! 😹

Gordon is so cute! Does he always wear those white socks?🤐
my girls love churu!
😻
My kitties strangely don’t like churu😮
i just get what is at the dollar store, no calorie counting, just gets snack 1x per day.
That definitely works too!
My cat is going through FIP treatment and the only way I’ve gotten him to eat his pills is to put them in churro pops.
Ooh I hope the treatment is going well!
❤❤❤
These give my kitties the runs... can no longer give them wet treats
Oh no!
These are like liquid crack to my cat!
😹

Churu is no 1- its like drugs for cats
My Cat doesnt like creamy treats
Ooh! What kind of treats does your cat like?
Hi. My Cat. Likes Crunchy treats. My Munch Doesnt like Wet food . @AllAboutCatsYT
His favorite is Temptations!
Crunchy is his favorite, HE doesn't like Puree , anything Soft.
Too bad there are no lickables for kitties on special urinary diets! Sigh...
c'mon there's churu and everything else really sucks.
