- Omega's role as the Official Timekeeper at the Olympic Games requires a ton of work - literally 550 timekeepers and 350 tonnes of equipment. And this statistic does not include the countless hours of research and development Omega's Timekeeping Lab spends innovating and perfecting new timekeeping technologies and means to capture performance and provide analytical storytelling that is precious to the athletes, the judges, and the viewers at home.
Omega's journey with the Olympic Games began in 1932, then the sole trusted watchmaker to provide chronometer chronographs for judges to manually record events. Omega, who has since been the Official Timekeeper on 30 occasions, has gone on to develop new means of tracking athlete performance in various ways. Andrew during his visit explores how Omega is revolutionising timekeeping at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Omega going above and beyond just naming sponsorship. Truly an impressive horological heritage, the innovation is incredible
This video is amazing, it is just what I was searching to understand all the little technical details of timekeeping
What a treat! An absolutely captivating video.
Omega truly are the GOAT. This entire video has given me a whole new perspective on them and a whole other level of appreciation. Incredible stuff.
That was absolutely fascinating. Thanks very much guys
I was privileged to be part of the SwissTiming/Omega timekeeper crew at the Seoul Olympic games in 1988.
100m Carl Lewis vs Ben Johnson, anybody?
Incredible experience.
A lot of technological enhancements and innovations in all these years!
Keep it up, Omega.
Great video! I like your videos where you're exploring the wider world of timekeeping and horology.
Thanks for this content. I have higher respect to Omega after watching this
absolutely fascinating. Appreciate all the work you guys do!
Fascinating! I saw another video like this in 2021 (Tokio) And now I actually searched for a new one... and here it is!
Awesome video. So interesting!! Love it
Wow, awesome video, so captivating, thank you. I've learnt some much from this Omega guy who was explaining so well. Thanks for organizing this. I will be able to see some of these timekeeping technologies at the Omega Pavilion next week in Paris.
It was great to work in the Timekeeper crew for Omega again in Paris.
this is so cool! Omega, extend on these narratives too in the public eye, not just "we went to the moon" up and down our throats, you rock!
Super interesting, as always. Thank you for the content!
Fascinating! THIS is horology at its finest!
This should have much more views.
Superb video!
Great video. 👌
Fantastic Video 👍😊🙏.
That's a crazy level of measurement and quantification. Also, don't think we didn't notice you trying to subtly beat Alain in the walking across the line demonstration 😂
This goes waaaay beyond timekeeping. Why omega but not Canon or any other photo company?
Omega needed to measure specific parts that other camera brands couldn't match. For example, their current camera can take about 20k shots in a second!
I bought in February the Baltic hermetic night Mode in February 2024. I don’t know if the watches have been delivered or not. I live in France. I contacted Time and Tide in every possible way but they are not replying . Not sure if this is happening to others but be careful .
I didn’t think that time and tide would be a scam. I m really surprised
Hi Ibrahim, thanks for commenting and apologies for any difficulties you have experienced. I’m happy to let you know, however, that after a couple of delays, your Hermétique is en route to us and will be dispatched to your address immediately following its arrival. It should be dispatched to you from Australia by Friday of this week. I believe one of my colleagues reached out to you via email today but if you have any questions, please reply to that email and I’ll get back to you personally.
Thanks again for your patience Ibrahim

Stop fidgeting so much and pay more attention Andrew.
Can I watch your video to see how it’s done?? Nah fair play, I was as always quite a bit fired up with all the role playing 🤣
