This is the kind of music that makes you wanna hop in your 80s corvette at midnight with the windows down and with the top off with this tune pumping through the stereo. It’s very late, your hair is blowing through the chill wind. It’s a two lane road that stretches seemingly endlessly across the deserts of Nevada. You know that you will not get anywhere at this hour, or on this road. No other cars are in sight. It’s just the same road for hours upon hours and the same desert and the same speed limit. You are trying to go to California, and are nowhere near Reno. Nothing changes. But something amongst yourself changes, your spirit. You realize that the darkness of night and the endless desert will end one day. The distant and sparkling shimmer of the stars show you the way. The speed limit will end, you will have a place to run freely in the mountains of California.Don’t forget that there’s hope, no matter how long and dark your desert is.

Yo J-bean, I like that! The balance of nature and creativity, rather than the oppression and suppression that is inevitable when there is imbalance.
In this picture, I see the computer sitting there like a god of grids and algorithms, everything lifeless and roboticized. It is what life on earth would become if we allow our use of technology to conform our freewill and brain activity into a system of predictable algorithms-unwitting automatons. We may not realize how much we are doing this as AI technology and algorithms shepherd our minds in both obvious and subtle ways.
But hope itself springs forth the living plant to shatter the stultifying matrix that threatens to overtake us. Life, consciousness, freewill cannot be suppressed or destroyed, but will always find a way to rise out of the unknown places, insisting that freedom and creative expression come to life and flourish.
The plant itself faces its “oppressor”, not to condemn it, but to show itself the ambassador of what life looks like when algorithmic laws of nature are married in harmony with the creative chaos of unpredictability. The two poles, operating together to make beauty; not at war, not seeking to control or destroy the other, but finding the cooperative balance that engenders love and freedom.
