They missed the Red Hoods character / motives. In the comics Jason forgived Bruce for not saving him, but was angry that the joker was still alive. He had hoped that Batman had killed him.
Yeah in the comics, he never hated Batman. He only hated his code. It didn't really give this Jason a good motive to kill Batman. It didn't even make sense why he had to create two personas.
Deathpool_04 No he hated that Batman had not killed Joker after ehat he had done too him.
Raiden Yeah but he hated his code. It was "no killing no matter who they are". Even if they are as bad as the Joker. He forgave Batman for not saving him but he didn't forgive him for not killing the Joker after.
Deathpool_04 Yes, but he did not want batman to kill like every criminal. Just the Joker.
Raiden Yeah, he only wanted him to kill only when it was necessary to.
Sounds like Kevin Conroy trying to win back Troy Baker as a son.
Makes since
I can actually see that.
Man, talk about hatred to the extreme! Abandoned, tortured to death, being replaced and broken! Poor Jason...
And still the hate is coming towards him that it shouldnt be him ;(
+The Potato Man he's one of those villains I feel really sorry for
He aint villain
He is Anti hero
He's a vigilante
Technically, he wasn’t abandoned. Jason went after Joker without Batman’s consent, which got him into that position in the first place.
I'm about to cry for Jason, in every line he says he sounds like he's trying so hard to avoid bursting into tears
I bet if this game was Jason’s POV he would be on his side
We
Poor Jason. In every single bit of dialogue it sounds like he's trying so hard to avoid bursting into tears.
SpiderLily yeah, it's so heartbreaking...
Right!!!
The voice actor made an amazing work
@Ax Thizzle yeah sure but this was still fantastic work.
@Ax Thizzle What do you mean that's exactly why it's good. Talking about jokers torture, talking about how his father figures just straight up abandoned him for 6 months, that's exactly how he should've been portrayed in the game, he's supposed to sound like he's going to cry any minute now.
4:17 That “I’m sorry” was so heartbreaking, he knew he had nobody to blame but himself for what happened to Jason.
@ッCxrth I'd say batman could have at least tried lookin for Jason's body instead of trusting Joker to tell the truth
@ッCxrth It kinda wasn't it's because Jason Todd was like a son to batman and as a father you take full responsibillity for the misfortunes of your son.
@Marta Tim forced himself to become Robin and Joker sent Batman a clip of him killing Jason
@ッCxrth he gave up after a month
@ッCxrth in the Arkhamverse it's a totally different story: during the attack on Arkham, Joker took advantage of the confusion and ambushed Jason, who was guarding the place, and captured him, so it's not Jason's fault. It's in the comics that he disobeyed at Batman's order and went searching for Joker
Well I sure hope somebody picks up that phone....
Because I fucking called it!
in the end red hood was cooler
+Khalid Alamin and cooler was red hood
evryone called it dude
Nathan Jones lmao

Has it answered yet?
Jason Todd, my favourite Robin.
Dick Grayson for the win
Dick Grayson: the independent robin
Jason Todd: the anger robin
Tim drake: the detective robin
grimmitachi LOL meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee tooooooooooooooooooooooo
Andrew Meyers Damien Wayne: The Murderous Self-Righteous Samurai Robin.
grimmitachi if only he was everyones Robin before turning into Red Hood he wouldn't have been killed off in the first palce

Batman: "we can fix this, I dont mind 2 robins"
He would of became his own thing like Dick did
He deserves his own game, such a interesting character imo
Batman: your outfit kinda cool too
@@Kyle_Hanson we have the red hood, if only he didnt have...uh.. guns

Rest in peace Kevin Conroy… the Arkham games wouldnt have been the same without you 🙏🏻
Batman himself wouldn’t be the same without Kevin Conroy
When did he die? He was the best voice for Batman.
@@tylerthomas9647he passed back in this past November
@@TopDogAnubis9047 oh. ): yeah, his voice for Batman was the best.
@@tylerthomas9647 exactly, still leaves my heart shattered 💔😫
I just love Kevin Conroy's masterful voice acting here. The gentleness that comes into his voice when he says that it's not too late is touching - such a difference from the usual stern, unforgiving tones of Batman.
Rest in Peace.
I like how Playstation disabled the option to record this scene, expecting us to be surprised with the reveal
Or not to spoil it to others
Alfred: "M-my God! Is he alright!?"
Batman: "No... No, he's not." *hangs up*
Alfred: "....Thanks for not elaborating on that, twat."
lol soo true
Lol
alfred is fed up with bruce's bullshit
"Ugh! he just hanged up again without telling shit"
KashelGladio I read that in DCabridged’s Alfred voice
4:03
Lol, wtf is up with that Lego floor?
And during the cutscene, they aren’t even on it lol
That's a Lego Batman reference
Wait, what in the hell
No it’s not
Muu Too stfu it’s rad
"You really have no idea, do you, Bruce?"
(The visor lifts to reveal...)
*"PROFESSOR HYDE WHITE!?"*
+Montesama314 Scooby Doo Reference FTW... I wonder, how would Arkhamverse versions of Mystery Inc. look and behave?
ClassicToonFan64 Considering all the REAL monsters that exist in the DC Universe, let alone the Arkhamverse (Man-Bat and Solomon Grundy, for example), the Mystery Inc. gang would be better off not getting into that business... at least, not without some gadgets and skills like the Bat-Family's.
That said, it would be interesting to see how the current-gen consoles could be used to make them. Just look at the detail put into Arkham Knight's character models. We'd be able to get a talking dog that doesn't look as cartoonish as the one from the 2000s live action movie.
+Montesama314 It'd be awesome to see the gang in modern consoles. Thanks for the reply.
+Montesama314 "And I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for that meddling Batman."
Just lost it at the "Scooby Doo Where Are You?" reference. Well done sir.
"You really have no idea, do you Bruce?"
>Lifts visor to reveal...ADAM SANDLER!
Nope. Kim K xD
*starts talking in That's My Boy accent*
Visor lifts to reveal...JOHN CENA!!!!
You told i was about to have a great role, was "that's my boy a great role" Batman ?
Reveals face to be Morgan freeman from Bruce almighty.
4:33 - "No. I'm sorry, but... no. It's too late for that. Far too late." -The Killing Joke
It's so interesting that after all Jason has done when it comes to facing Bruce again you can hear in his voice how close he is to breaking down. In those moments he is just like a pained young boy in front of his father
As much as I love Troy baker's red hood voice,...JENSEN ACKLES!!!
totally with you
Yas
JENSEN ACKLES RULES
Batman: Jason, please. I'm not the friend who you're looking for, but I'm here for you. It's time for you to come home.
Jason: Which home, Bruce?! The batcave? Or the place where you left me to die?
broi
Technically he's just Red Hood. Arkham Knight is not even a character; just a different look.
Technically it's his 3rd alias. The way Two-Face developed a 3rd persona in "The New Batman Adventures": the Judge.
And also has an army
whoboy11 technically red hood didn't exist until arkham knight was gone.
TheEzio1991 The Red Hood DLC is set before the start of the Game
Rocker Cole No, the Harley Quinn one is set before the game. The Red hood DLC is set after the game. He doesn't become red hood until after he stops being Arkham knight. Plus, Black mask was still alive during the story.
It would've been interesting if they brought back Jensen Ackles who voiced Jason Todd in the Under The Red Hood movie.
Iambic Pentameter Then I feel it would be a bit too obvious but yeah he was perfect
hiimchrisj It was already too obvious.
Yeah Jensen Ackles' voice was perfect for Jason Todd
+hiimchrisj how about troy bakers distorted voice and then jensen with the mask gone
+Iambic Pentameter While I love Under the Red Hood, J.A's voice is a bit too old for Jason Todd. Despite their build and heights, all [former] Robin's are rather young. Nightwing is around 24-25, Jason Todd is 4 years younger than Dick, Tim is about 5-6 years younger than Dick, and Damian is the youngest at 10. Even if Nightwing isn't 25 in the games, Jason is still 4 years younger.
Ackles sounds much older than 20-21.Hell, Ackles sounds more around 28-31, which would make Jason Todd just seem older.
Great voice acting on Jason’s part. You can hear the pain in his voice as he tries to keep it together.
His voice cracks were so painful and emotional. I nearly started crying when I was playing.
Sure this wasn't a surprise to people intimately familiar with the comics, but keep in mind the Arkham series drew in a lot of people that WEREN'T intimately familiar with the comics. So some people were surprised.
what gets me here is when batman apologizes... :(
Those hallucinations of Joker never get old, even through my third playthrough they're still hilarious.
4:05 Best part of the cutscene, to Batman this would usually be the part where he kicks the villains ass and feels 0 remorse but this time it's someone who he really cares about and someone he feels responsible for, and even tries to give him a second chance.
Okay Jason might be a villain in this game, but it seems he's always getting the short end of the stick. First of all being the most hated Robin, second getting beaten with a crowbar, killed by Joker only to be brought back to life in a Lazarus pit (in the comics), and yet everybody calls him crazy. After all that don't you think he's got the right to be crazy? I think they should give him some slack.
Rocksteady: Hey guys, remember the Titan Joker fight from the first game? You know how everyone hated how the entire fight was just beating up henchmen while the boss watches from a distance? LET'S DO IT AGAIN!
And thus, we got the Arkham Knight's RedHood, Professor Pyg, and Riddler fights!
Cross Entertainment I dont think riddler was bad considering his character all the others yeah i get it
jason is a knight in shining armor.
+Isabell Romero pls
An Arkham Knight in shining armor
3:42
Arkham Knight: You're gonna beg, with my boot on your neck!
*8 Seconds Later*
Batman beats the living crap out of Jason xD
I like how he corrects himself and says he found Jason. Pretty much let’s you know he never forgot about him!
that gun is so sick
+Cheyenne Hood And yet we can't use it ingame when playing as him.
I don't care that it was obvious it was Jason from the start. However I do care that this is a shit boss fight. Literally he knows ALL of Batman's moves which means this fight could of been like the Freeze boss in City except even harder. Instead we get him just sitting up there snipping for shit.
Jason: I WANT YOU DEAD
Batman: *head buds the crap out of his son*
He is not his Son, a Father would never let the Pig alive who killed his Son, i mean at least he would try it, but Batman never did anything like that
My favorite part is how Alfred is so very concerned over finding out that Jason is still alive and still calls him Master Todd. And deservedly so, too.
Jason has some god-like willpower if he was still able to move on from what Joker did to him and forgive Batman
I love how near the end when Bruce gets to him you can him almost cry
05:20 "So, how do you keep a secret from the world's greatest detective? Well, do you know? You stick it right in front of him, right under his long, pointy nose... and wait!"
There will never be a better voice for the Joker than the one right now. Thank you Mark Hamil.
The Arkham knight reveal was kind of a let down but the game gave us
- Azrael
- Penguin
- Two-face
- Riddler
- Professor Pigg
- Hush
- Scarecrow
- Deathstroke (he was such a disappointment)
- EVEN MAN-BAT
Not to mention the DLC villains
- Killer croc
- Mr. Freeze
- the league of assassin's
- Mad Hatter
So yeah the reveal was underwhelming but i can appreciate the rest of the villains (EXCEPT DEATHSTROKE)
How did Gordon not figure out Bruce Wayne was Batman from hearing Jason say his name. 💀
cuz he already knows his bruce my boi
He definitely did not know Bruce was Batman until Jason said his name in this cutscene
You can hear the pain in jason's dialogue. He truly loved bruce and he failed to save jason but caused the birth of red hood. It shows he's really not his greatest failure
Love the anxiety in his voice when he says "Turn around". He's waited so long for this moment and probably rehearsed exactly what he'll say, but he's still scared
3:52 my favorite part of the game
3:49
Funny because the voice actors for Sam Drake and Jason Todd are the same. For the longest time, Batman thought his partner Jason was dead, similar to how Nathan Drake thought his brother Sam was dead, until they both found them to be alive.
I get it, I really do. When you spend months or even years with nothing but your despair, depression and anger, it feels like that’s all you have left.
It’s not though. There’s always someone out there who loves you. Don’t ever forget that. Keep going to get back to them.
At first i was disapointed in this bossfight but instead of trying to defeat him in a fight you're trying to save him. Batman is trying to talk Jason out of it. i really enjoyed this after thinking what's Bruce's motives
We need a red hood game
Jason is a best robin ever! How could he do this? Batman though Jason dead ! But I love Jason as robin 😢
MY POOR BABY
0:53 Jason I trusted you and you just left me to die
Batman that's not what happened
Red hood:kill the suicide squad
the most painful yet coolest redemption story and character arc in all of comic book history for me.. also that transition from arkham knight to red hood gave me chills!
Now thats a moment where real gamers cried
1:15 when you find out your ex is cheating on you
poor bb go home and get some ice cream with ur bat papa
Bro Jason’s drip is out of this world
Comics - Jason forgave Bruce for not saving him, but was furious about his moral code, and hoped Batman avenged him
Video Game: Joker is already dead, and so I guess they(the creators) wanted Jason to be a bad guy like in the comics in some sort of way, so this time they made Jason not forgive Bruce, and showed what he’d do
Its because this version Jason was tortured for a whole year. In comics he was tortured for a few hours and it messed him up pretty badly so he would be way more messed up if he got tortured for a whole year. Imagine getting torturing everyday and waiting for your father to save you but instead you got replaced by another son. Also Joker manipulated him.
U guys do know that he said bruce’s name out loud a bunch of times in front of gordon and supposedly he did not hear it.
They did Jayson perfectly here.
It's very easy to tell that it's Jason even from the beginning... But that doesn't make it hurt any less.
This entire scene caught me off guard and elevated the already incredible game to another level. Baker was unbelievable here. One of his best ever performances he's ever given IMO. Scene was incredibly sad, the music in the whole area was so depressing.
Yeah.
1:09 Bro's so disrespectful with that, but necessarily😭
I hated his guts so much in the game. But after his reveal I felt so bad for him. He's just a broken kid. The horror he must have been through with the joker for an entire year. The voice actor really nailed his role.
Seriously, if you want revenge, just shoot when you have the chance, don't stand there and say a bunch of nonsense words.
I think Arkham Fight would have been a better title name for the game
Good thing he had a mask under his mask.
Stop! stop talking to me 3:57 that broke my heart in two because it's Jason technically telling Batman the more that Batman talks to him the more pain that he's in he is trying to prevent himself from bursting into tears from sadness and betrayal it just makes me feel so sad and I have sympathy for him because he really didn't deserve this it makes it all the more sader whenever Batman hesitates to punch him showing that how much she really does love him
This whole game was a fucking roller coaster and I loved every bit of the ride.
0:46 Don't you dare lie to me!
1:16 You can't hide from me! I will hunt you down!
2:10 Jason, I can help you. There's no helping me!
2:41 Joker got to you. I know what is like. Don't pretend to understand!
3:05 Stand down Robin. Don't call me that! That's not who I am!
3:52 You're Robin, Jason. You're not what he made you. Stop! Stop talking to me!
4:14 You did this to me! I'm sorry.
Troy Baker really nailed this character's voice. Rage mixed with terror mixed with sheer fucking agony.
Peja21000 yeah, his voice cracks and his pitch changes as Batman persuades him how they need to talk about what happened, and they need to fix it...
Shouldve used jensen ackles again :/ i think he has the best voice for jason
RAGEINYOUTH ً both are great imo.
Wtf it's troy baker? This guy able to voice joker, batman, and robin flawlessly..
@Spencer Lewis Crimm No, Jason IS voiced by Troy Baker in this game.
The "Who are you" always gets me. The fact that the greatest detective had no where to go, he simply gave in and decided to ask.
Well to be fair, logically you wouldn’t expect someone who is essentially your dead son attempting to kill you and destroy your city.
@@Batman-ro9mj felt like deep down Batman knew but didn’t wanna believe it to be true
@@jshonsmith3399 it's pretty clear he suspected it was Jason but he didn't want to go there because he always regarded Jason as his biggest mistake
He never found the body of Jason. I don't think he truly believed Jason died.
@@Batman-ro9mj I think he just wanted to see Batman fails Gotham's people, then kill batman. Then he would prob saved the city Im not sure.
His very first line in the game gave him away , "time to die old man" only 3 people would say that dick, Jason or Tim so that narrowed it down.
that makes absolutely no correlation with why he said that, truly it could be anyone. because batman has made so many enemies he can’t remember which one he spoiled with vengeance and revenge. so actually, it’s not narrowing it down.
@@jelly442 However, none of his enemies have ever refered to him as old man. Also, most of his villians wouldn't, or shouldn't know his age. The only people who'd know that are people who'd know him as Bruce and Batman. Narrow it down even further to the fact that the Arkham Knight was a young male, and that basically narrows it down to one of the Robins.
Jellyfishyy what did he do lol just cause he corrected you? Sheesh I wonder what it’s like when someone doesn’t do something for you or insult you

Jellyfishyy so what? We are talking ab your anger lol
2:45 you can hear Jason's voice break. He was clearly trying not to cry.
Łůčăś Ş Great voice acting.
3:55 as well man
Love how Bat couldn’t punch him on the ground, he saw that little kid again, afraid and hopeless.
Exactly what I was thinking
The VC he nailed it, he made me cry a bit i can hear the agony in Jason voice... Especially the "YOU DID THIS TO ME" Really got me hard
Exactly he saw his son and saw how broken he was in that moment. That he couldn’t hurt the boy he rescued from Crime Alley who tried stealing the wheels off the batmobile. All he wanted was to be a good father for his family and to help each one of them. That’s why he forgave him despite what he did that night.
@@mangkubi Troy Baker Knocked it out of the HOT DAMN PARK
What's the name of the song at the cutscenes of Jason defeated
if you spent a year being tortured by the Joker only to find out you were replaced by someone else instead of being saved
you'd probably hate Batman as well
That's what makes Jason such a great character. Easy to sympathize with.
If only joker didn't send that tape of him getting shot
Storm chaser Even if Joker didn’t send the tape I’m pretty sure Batman would’ve thought Jason was dead
@@elitedeath572 You don't know batman then. Batman is a tough one to crack. I hope you know all the robins he has are like sons to him and just letting jason die is not his morals. Storm chaser I’m not saying he’s weak I know Batman was looking for Jason until he took in Tim Drake and when he was looking for Jason he almost got himself killed until Tim Drake figured out Bruce is Batman and trained him

I agree troy is talented but the issue is how this version of red hood was written, I think troy could've done a much better job with a better script, he pulled a darker and more aggressive and more dangerous version of hamil's joker and perfectly imitiated Kevin, it mostly falls on the writers and directors shoulders he might've immitiated Jensen too who knows.

"I wish there were a real fight." This IS a real fight. It's a guilt ridden father fighting to get his traumatized and broken son to listen to him and come home. Bruce loves Jason. As much as he loves Richard, Tim, and Damian. They're his kids and he wants them safe.
Nah. The fights in this game were god awful - - they could’ve still had a better Boss Fight and incorporated good dialogue into them like they did with Deathstroke’s boss fight

Jacqueen 17 yes, agreed!!!!
Teen titans the serie 🙃
Batman never really apologizes for replacing him so quickly, does he?
Caitlin Brewer he still feels hate for tim drake , but he hides it
Victor Hugo .Ortiz Vargas Who still hates Tim Drake? Bruce or Jason? In the comics, Jason does nurture resentment for both Dick and Tim for a long time. Dick he resents because he felt that Bruce always wanted him be Dick 2.0 and felt that Dick was the favorite (which he IS actually right about). Tim he resents as his replacement.
Jason never wanted Bruce to die I am pretty sure he wanted Bruce to avenge him by killing Joker
***** In the comic and in "Under The Red Hood" (movie adaptation), that's the case. But for Arkham Knight, since the Joker is already dead, then the second best thing for Jason is killing the one who abandoned him when he needed him the most.
Batman didn't replace him quickly though, it was all part of Jokers physiological torture of Jason. If anything Bruce didnt take Tim on as Robin until probably years later.
I was hoping a fist fight between Batman and Jason Todd. Kinda like Batman vs Deathstroke. Not against a sniper. I was a little disappointed.
Maybe the first phase should've been trying to sneak up on sniper, 2nd phase out stealthing the other using gadgets and weapons to trap the other. 3rd phase being a fist fight.
That would be cool.
You must watch Under the Red Hood brah
This was the 4th best boss fight in my opinion.
jason knew he couldn't take him in hand to hand combat
I gotta say, I never knew about Batman's sidekicks stories and their relationships before. And when I played this game, I was every bit as shocked as Bruce to see Jason alive under that mask. After that, I've become a huge fan of DC.
Welcome to the dystopia that is DC. We have meetings and discuss topics lol, but when you die you die here, no Marvel, marvelous (no pun intended) resurrections..
We're all thinking it. We all know it. Jason's dual pistols are AWESOME! I mean come on. Pistols that turn into a sniper! And the way they do it looks cool too. lol
YEAH THAT WAS SICK!
SorrowSnake Gaming Those are some nice guns,I hope someone create some weapon like this, two pistols that turns into a fucking rifle! that's awesome.
Spiral TTV ikr
Spiral TTV I knew I couldn't be the only one
Carlos Darío Cisneros i developed them myself
It was so painfully obvious that it was Jason Todd
SilentAssassin927 The DC UA-cam channel guy said it wasn't Jason Todd, he lied.
The very first time he opened his mouth was you could tell who the knight was.
SilentAssassin927 i sorta guess from the start when the knight said "you havent lost your touch" that it was him..having said that I really did like Rocksteadys take on the red hood story...I was much happier with it being him rather then shoehorning a new character into the role..If it was not Jason how could he have known all the personal stuff about Bruce in the game(oracle .....)
I was really hoping it would be someone completely different. Or at least someone you would never expect.
SilentAssassin927 i know what you man but i still give them major credit for the execution it all.I would prefer that rather then having them scarifying story by throwing in someone just to surprise us
This is how they should have made the boss fight
Stage 1: 1-on-1 like with Deathstroke in Origins.
Stage 2: It's Predator, but he's the only person you're up against, you can't use Detective mode to find him and he's using the same methods you are (hiding in grates, up on gargoyles) so it's like one big game of cat and mouse
Stage 3: Arkham Knight reveals who he is and you get this boss fight.
That would be just perfect man !! To me, they messed up the fight though it has so much potential :(
Flatulent Orc. Nah, last stage should be a long brutal fist fight like Batman has with the Mutants leader in Dark Knight Returns
@Robot jr-45 2015 ngl this boss fight was ass.
I think that but in reverse would've been the best way to do it
This looks super underwhelming compared to the Deathstroke fight from Origins.
" I miss that place. Maybe we will end up back there again" Did....... Did Joker just tease Batman Return To Arkham?
The Batman Legend ends in Arkham he gets unmasked there
No he meant when he takes over batman he will be sent to the asylum
this is a great point. Two years later they make the game "Batman: Return to Arkham" why does Rocksteady always foreshadow?????
"Stand down, Robin"
I didn't sign up for these type of feels.
That broke my heart...
When the Arkham Knight took off that helmet...
"Jesus Christ. It's Jason Todd!"
Which technically means Troy Baker`s the only actor who voiced BOTH Red Hoods and BOTH Robins!
