Often animators will animate the characters based on some of the voice actor's own mannerisms. We can see that this happened with Hiccup and his hand movements while he talks :)
I love how the hand movements are the same! So endearing and it makes that scene in the second movie with Astrid all the more sweet and funny knowing it’s based on Jay’s actual movements!
I just love how much effort they put into their voice acting, they really take on their character's personality and just put it all into the recording. I just love it!
I'm just going to point out what everybody probably knows already. The voices that T.J. Miller, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill and Christopher Mintz-Plasse use for their characters (Tuffnut, Hiccup, Snotlout and Fishlegs respectively) are their actual speaking voices!
Wow, I thought Jay and Butler were actors that I could never take seriously like Nicolas Cage, but the Movie was just so awe-inspiring with characters that were well written and voice acted, they look so respectable and just glorious now.
This is a movie that does nearly EVERYTHING right. But am I the only who thinks that Gobber and Stoick is one of those things? The conversation between them about Hiccup is really good because of how their actors are actual friends
Jonah Hill and Christopher Mintz- Plasse are both so much fun in all their roles! I kind of wanted to see T.J. Miller recording Tuff's line of "OH, I'M HURT! I AM VERY MUCH HURT!
Craig Ferguson, Gerard Butler and Jay Baruchel were great. Also, Kristen Wiig was funny as hell ALL of them were great. Not many people have watched Dragons: Gift of the Night Fury, it´s a short one (about 30 minutes), but it´s also a GREAT one.
i like seeing the actors voice the characters. its like "whoa he sounds just like hiccup"...i agree with the best like being "thank you for nothing you useles reptile"
Baruchel and Butler are the only ones that really look like their character. Some of the others weren't too far off, but those who played Gobber, Snotlout and Fishlegs really surprised me :p It's amazing how peoples voices can completely fool you to their looks!
It honestly breaks my heart that such terrific actor as Gerald Butler never made it beyond a few good movies, and got stuck with a slew of mediocre ones.
Its so interesting watching the people with the voices we know so well act as the characters from the movie yet ive never seen the people who play the voices
this is one of my favorite movies and i’ve never seen this. currently watching this with a koolaid smile 😁❤️ love the passion and acting movements from the actors and actresses
I used to watch the late, late show with Craig Ferguson.... but he's not on there anymore ;-; I like the new guy though because he's in doctor who... but... NOOOOO CRAIG FERGUSON
wow i watched this for craig then i realised this movie has jonah hill and that other guy from one of my fav movies. Plus it has some guy ray has been plugging on =3 which I really didnt expect at all.
The best movie ever, no matter how young or old you are
U understand me
I'm more of an pixar fan but this and the 2nd are super good
Best book series ever ❤️

Jay does not look like hiccup but he acts like him its so cute (his laugh do) XD
Often animators will animate the characters based on some of the voice actor's own mannerisms. We can see that this happened with Hiccup and his hand movements while he talks :)
Too true
It is too cute
I love how the hand movements are the same! So endearing and it makes that scene in the second movie with Astrid all the more sweet and funny knowing it’s based on Jay’s actual movements!

It's funny to think he was the Phantom of the Opera
I just love how much effort they put into their voice acting, they really take on their character's personality and just put it all into the recording. I just love it!
💯
U do have a point I agree
I'm just going to point out what everybody probably knows already.
The voices that T.J. Miller, Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill and Christopher Mintz-Plasse use for their characters (Tuffnut, Hiccup, Snotlout and Fishlegs respectively) are their actual speaking voices!

@@나는윈드워커를사랑한I thought that too
"And now the spinning. Thanks for nothing, you useless reptile."
LOVE the way he says it. Cracks me up every time XD
Couldn't agree more 😀😁
Toothless if he could talk: “Your welcome, you useless human!”
I can't imagine hiccup having a different voice than this
i may be 19 and a man, but i still strongly believe that fangirling over gerard butler is completely 100% healthy.
He is how you should be a man lol (btw your probably 22 by now lol)
Happy 24th
@@catherinecalmerin1825 i want to go back
Happy 24th and a bit
@@sendindonnovan9163 how dare you
America Ferrera is adorable! I love it when she says "That's me...that was my voice."
I love that hiccup va's hands moves around as much as his character does
My god I've played Kristen Wiig's Ruffnut cackle over so many times XD That was probably the best part of all of this, and it was all amazing.
Wow! These people are amazing! Couldn't have picked a better cast!
is it just me or does sticks actor look a tiny bit like JHON cena and Tom Walsh?
Jayda Sellars/boyd Really? I don't see it.
lol
This is a pure display of passion, and friendships that will last forever. HTTYD forever
Crag Ferguson's second line show in here was my favorite line of his in the movie, second overall to 'thank you for nothing you useless reptile'
Gerard Butlers laugh just makes me happy
Apparently makes you jizz too.
Jason Patowsky yep count me in... old and young he still makes women jizz hahahaha
Actually I NEVER get to see them voice act. That's why this video actually means something to me.
i was so surprised when i saw fishlegs' va. i guess i was expecting someone... bigger? lol XP
Ikr
ikr
Fishlegs is a Nerdy guy, so the actor looks. Dont you think?
Wow, I thought Jay and Butler were actors that I could never take seriously like Nicolas Cage, but the Movie was just so awe-inspiring with characters that were well written and voice acted, they look so respectable and just glorious now.
2:35 Lol, Cannot unsee. Fear Gerard and his mighty pencil, because it ends TODAY! Thats all i'm going to imagine in the movie now.
tuffnuts voice actor looks like his personality is actually like tuffnut
Kristen Wiig's laugh at the end tho. just brilliant.
This is a movie that does nearly EVERYTHING right. But am I the only who thinks that Gobber and Stoick is one of those things? The conversation between them about Hiccup is really good because of how their actors are actual friends
omg I was laughing so hard watching this!! gerard butler is the best!
I completely see him as being a viking
@@reganbreedlove898 I see him as the Phantom of the Opera, lol
Jonah Hill and Christopher Mintz- Plasse are both so much fun in all their roles!
I kind of wanted to see T.J. Miller recording Tuff's line of "OH, I'M HURT! I AM VERY MUCH HURT!
Wow... Astrid's voice sounds so different there for me. I'm surprise how Astrid looks like in person...
She’s also the voice of Fawn from Tinker Bell
Hello? Right Ear? Are you there?
exactly the right ear isn't working !!!
Hahaha
hahaha RIP right ear
Happens to me all the time XD
Same
Craig Ferguson, Gerard Butler and Jay Baruchel were great.
Also, Kristen Wiig was funny as hell
ALL of them were great.

And America ferra
I love Gift of the Night Fury!! For ten years I’ve been one of the only people with a dvd copy!!
4:21 Hiccup: It’s not the dragon that I’m worried about.
5:36 Oh my Thor I love him so much... XD
Tori Ackerman he was also in big hiro 6
I Hope that is not the only one that’s favorite character is tuffnut
0:42 that was added in the animation because the directors liked it ^_^
i like the guy at 2:41 's voice. it's so resonant and bright if that makes sense
I love how Craig Ferguson is in this movie, and how he made time off of his Late Late schedule.
i like seeing the actors voice the characters. its like "whoa he sounds just like hiccup"...i agree with the best like being "thank you for nothing you useles reptile"
Literally, I'm going to write an essay on why this is the best movie- I HATE writing essays.
I love the Craig Ferguson's face and how he says "The Terrible Terror. Fiery, fiesty, and FIERCE."
we need to take a moment to appreciate the twins please.
6:21 LOL that Ruffnut laugh though so hilarious :)
For me the best lines are "Thank you for nothing you usless reptile" and the one when he say " "tatara we are dead" lol
1:12 is my favourite line xD
Lol me too 😂
Oh yes that one makes me laugh!! XD
Same
Lol, it was the other girl's favorite line too. I remember that scene XD!!
SAAME

Can’t believe this was 14years ago 😮 I feel so old
The voice actor of Fishlegs is really cute tbh😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gotta love Butler.
avianmaster 10 years later
Kristen did a great job
I feel like the looks perfectly match the voices
They look like they were having fun in the recording sessions!
Gerard butler, omg. Stoick was THERE for a second
Its so interesting watching the people with the voices we know so well act as the characters from the movie yet ive never seen the people who play the voices
It's weird hearing these exact voices from the movie come out of a real human being after watching the movie si many times
I'm not even really paying attention to the actors, I'm intently watching the two men giving feedback who in fact created Lilo and Stitch. X3
Lilo is Stich is such a beautiful movie
I just love that none of the lines we saw recorded in this video was the one in the movie XD
It's like Hiccup is build from Jay Baruchel. He's so cuteeee
Looking back on it they have changed soooo much in the lines from then to when the movie was made can’t wait for number 3
Oh My GODS! I never thought that Fishlegs would be so different from his voice actor, but it's still pretty cool.
this is one of my favorite movies and i’ve never seen this. currently watching this with a koolaid smile 😁❤️ love the passion and acting movements from the actors and actresses
Gerard was having to much fun XD
Yes he was!
I think tuffnuts character is so much like his voice actor
*Making Of How You Train Your Dragon Part 2 - Behind The Scenes*
best animation, ever, period
I was in my kindergarten days when this movie came up
Awesome! How can they be so realistic without actually be with the other character giving the reply? Amazing artistery. I will watch that movie again.
For some weird reason America Ferrera gave me goosebumps... She did pretty good imo.... and of course craig ferguson... i love him
So before Dave became the Prime Merlinian, he was Hiccup the dragon rider? sweet!
I love all the casting with all my heart, but Kristen Wiig as ruffnut holds a special place
I grew up watching this, and I LOVE IT
Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's the best movie ever!!
OMG ISHLEGS IS SOO GOOD
I love the last quote, "you're crazy... and I like that" LOL
Yes, me too!
Love gerard butler's accent. xD
That laugh at the end got me rolling on the floor! lmao
I love tj miller and Kristen wigg there the best!!! And plus there the voices of my fav characters rufnutt and tufnutt
Omg love stoik's voice! ^^ (not sure how to spell his name)
Stoick
1:19 That is also my favorite line XD
I love Ruffnut's voice
Ive lost track of how many times we've watched the three httyd movies.
LOL, I have a friend who's oldest son looks like he could have been the model for Hiccup! Right down to his dimples!
craig furgison and gerard butler did a great job.
I had headphones and wow my left ear felt weird after that..
YUS CRAIG FERGUSON O3O
IKR 030
I used to watch the late, late show with Craig Ferguson.... but he's not on there anymore ;-;
I like the new guy though because he's in doctor who... but... NOOOOO CRAIG FERGUSON
Al of them are so gd!! That gobbler voice actor is a natural..
Fishlegs is the Motherf***er?!
And Mclovin. XDDDDD
When the older Hiccup the voice get a little bit older.
I still can believe all the actors did about 10 years of voice acting for these movies plus the numerous TV shows, one of which has 6 season
The voice actor of Fishlegs looks exactly like book Fishlegs!
I love the Scottish accent. I love How to train your dragon!
Anytime Astrid talks I always say it at the same time as her because she is my favorite character and I wish I was her in the show
i love the actors xD
wow i watched this for craig then i realised this movie has jonah hill and that other guy from one of my fav movies. Plus it has some guy ray has been plugging on =3 which I really didnt expect at all.
Favourite line of the whole film: 'I AM HURT! I AM VERY MUCH HURT!'
For a big guy fishlegs has a small voice.
What was y’all expecting 😂
my left ear really enjoyed this
Why do people keep saying that
fr
I LOVE GERARD BUTLER'S ACCENT!!
Jay acts like Hiccup. I think I know where the directors get Hiccup’s movements!
Jay Baruchel IS Hiccup :D looks like his gestures inspired the animators a lot.. hehe :)
when Jay talks Hiccups heads just pops onto his shoulders
wha
hahaha i love Jay's acting :D
