Love this Logan. Thanks for sharing! Now I have more focal length (840mm) I can look at some more of our southern hemisphere targets like this. Cheers Si
Thanks Si. There are so many targets in the LMC that will frame up really nicely with your focal length so here's hoping you get plenty of clear skies.
@@Si-fp2ij Dark nebulae are always a good option for dark skies since they are so difficult to do in light pollution - like the Dark Doodad, The Chamaeleon molecular cloud or something with a lot of faint OIII like NGC602 or the Pencil nebula with all the nearby OIII 'flowing away' from it. Enjoy the dark skies.
@@Si-fp2ij I think an OSC camera is great for dark nebulae and the Pencil nebula would be good also. I guess my suggestion of something with faint OIII is not so good as I didn't realise you were using a OSC camera - I was thinking more about the dark skies. The 533 is a great camera I think (I have the mono version) so it's just a matter of framing I guess having the smaller sensor size.
Thanks very much Tich. I think I' am going to have to point the 10" at the Cosmic Reef to try and see it in greater detail but when the skies will allow, who knows. The Metservice here just posted a picture of the the entire country buried beneath a huge mass of white cloud and called it a 'white Xmas' 🤣😭 . Clear skies and merry Xmas/happy holidays.
Thanks James. You certainly could get some amazing images of the LMC nebulae with the number of clear nights you get. If all goes to plan, we might finally be able to do the collab we've been talking about for so long....... on the northern hemisphere target 😉
Thanks for sharing Logan, personally I prefer the more golden version as the redder version appears more magenta, both versions are excellent however. Have a great Christmas
Thanks Nik. Well you and my wife think the same way and she certainly told me which one I should prefer 🤣. Normally I'm not a fan of magenta in any of my images but for some reason, I didn't mind it for this target. Hope you are getting plenty of clear skies and happy holiday/merry christmas.
Wow Logan! That’s awesome! You have some fantastic targets there in the LMC, great processing, I really can’t decide which I like the best, both so good mate! Keep them coming! Clear skies & happy holidays 😀
Thanks Simon. Yep, the LMC has plenty more to targets to keep me busy. Hope the weather is treating you well over there and happy holidays to you and your family.
Great video, love the intro edit! Merry Xmas 🎅🐉
Thanks Samuel. Hopefully George won't be too upset about me ripping him off with the intro 😂.

@@LogansAstro Thanks mate I’m off to a dark sky location for a few days in Jan so fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Any target suggestions for dark skies

@@LogansAstro I’ve got a ZWO533MC
Would that be OK for those targets?

Both good versions Logan. Like you say there is lots going on in this region. I'm on the fence as I like both versions.
Thanks Ollie. Well I'm actually sitting right next to you on the same fence, although my wife told me which one I like 🤣. Happy New Year.
Both cracking images mate love the details so look forward to seeing the 10" mead version if & when the weather allows.
Clear skies mate

Awesome shot! If I had access to the LMC, I'd spend a lot of time on it.. every year, lol. I think I prefer the Yellow version a bit more. :)
