Great review. I love Perisno and Pendor, Bannerpage is must for Vanilla. I played more or less everything from the list, but The last days of third age is the best for me. it's just awesome.
Does Brytenwalda have better troops in english isles troop trees? Because in VC clearly norse tree is superior and I didn't find it fun at all to form anglo-saxon armies lol

Agree on Pendor. It's by far the most polished mod with so much new content but it's also by far the grindiest, most tedious Warband experience I've ever had. Every bit of power takes hours to achieve and while I do think that it's rewarding in theory, the amount of busy work you have to do is just unreasonable. And stuff like "Oh btw after this hour-long battle you didn't get Qualis gem, because the leader escaped btw you can't savescum so better fight another 1000man army" or "There was a red brotherhood quest to get 1 easy gem, but in our recent update we made the chance of getting it after talking to a traveler like 0.001% have fun!" or "We've heard that you could exploit sieges by shooting arrows and retreating so now we've made so a basic tactical maneuver of retreating grants your party -50 morale, -honour, controvery points and everyone hates you" are complete bs that just suck out every single bit of fun to be had in this mod.
Everyone has their own opinion. In PoP escaping leaders are a valuable reason to put points into prisoner management, which would otherwise be a dump stat. Also since I played PoP sieges became much more enjoyable to me in all mods, because I stopped that silly shoot-and-retreat-tactic and started playing sieges seriously. Taking a castle by full storm feels much more rewarding.

Novas Aetas, Light & Darkness: Heroes of Calradia, 16th Century, Gekokujo Daimyo Edition, Age of Sword & Sorcery, Warsword Conquest, World of Vasnar, 1257 A.D Enhanced, Hispania 1200, In the Name of Jerusalem, and the Last Days of the Third Age. I’d recommend a decent mod called Star Wars Conquest. It’s on Warband. It’s on the steam workshop but it never worked for me through it so I had to manually install it. It’s a pretty good experience if you’re a Star Wars nut (was the first Warband mod I played) and I can say I actually enjoyed it thanks to how large the map is. It’s got a large quantity of planets (though they’re more like one cell like a village) and features an actual active conflict between rebels and the empire, with each side able to take over planets. Bakumatsu and Gekokujo for that matter would be soooo much better if the battle AI was improved. Love the aesthetic and feel of the mods but just wish they had improved battle AI
My favourite mod has to be New Dawn, which (among a ton of other changes) adds roaming minor factions that occasionally turn into hordes, take over cities and become real factions. The battles are huge and there's plenty of faction variety too
While you prefer mods that overhaul the setting, I'll still recommend giving Silverstag a look. It's the closest thing I've played to an ideal vanilla+ warband and is probably responsible for a fifth of my 2k+ hours.

Well like i said, it can easily be one of the best mods for lotr fans. Not being a fan myself, its main appeal is lost on me. Definitely try the other ones though.
I loved Perisno but there are glaring balancing problems that makes the whole experience miserable. Getting oneshot and dealing 0 damage unless you only use bows and fat two handers is not ok.
I always played with quarter damage on perisno because getting two shotted with several points in ironflesh and the heaviest armor is not fun. Heavy crossbows still end up doing like 40 damage if its to the head...
@@BlackoutGootraxian Thank you! Now I feel better about playing with that high of damage resistance later on! If I’m being honest, if Perisno and the Third Age mods could somehow be squished together that would the ultimate!!
@@FromAgonyToLight To be honest, i think its much more fun this way. If i put in 15 points into ironflesh (ends up reducing taken damage by 45%) and buy the most protective armors, i expect to be a tank, and not a slightly less fragile glass cannon. On normal damage, it feels like my armor is made out of cardboard.
Missed a major issue with between empires: trenches. the game is at its best when you’ve set up a trench line and are being charged by a huge horde of enemies as you cut them down with artillery and machine guns and the crack of hundreds of rifles. However this usually doesn’t happen. Usually what happens is they’ll dig their own trenches. Cannons and howitzers will do almost nothing against enemies in trenches, same with machine guns, forcing you to either charge them (guaranteed loss unless they either don’t have bolt actions or you have 3x as many troops) or try to set up your own counter trench and pray that they take more casualties than you. There’s no way to get them to leave the trench. The mod is super fun right up until that starts happening.
@@HenryAnderson-th7en nah. People in real life didn’t take 12 direct hits from heavy artillery cannons and take 0 damage just because they were standing in some dirt behind some sandbags instead of on grass. Machine guns also are physically incapable of hitting people in trenches, they don’t understand that they can’t shoot through the sandbags.
@@AdamYang-z7h I've looked.. I think people privately trade it on Discord and reddit but you'd have to search really hard in the message boards etc.. lol If you find it lmk and vice versa! 😂😂
I will say that back in the day 1866 was actually way better than a lot of mods, has unique assets, scenery, the siege maps were fun as all hell and so were cavalry fights, it was just as good as 1860 for the old mount and blade. I will say that the ranking for warsword is mad low tbh, when you look at the quality of items added/assets and the magic system, poorly balanced as it all is it s probably the best warband mod out there
I for one prefer Prophesy of Pendor because it is the only mod I’ve played that never crashed on my laptop. I’ve tried Perisno and it never worked out - but PoP will always work.
I can 100% agree on this list. Im so happy i found this channel, i found out about new mods thath i didnt now they existed like brytenwolda or Aut Ceasar, such a good mods. I hope for new warband and bannerlord videos
it's astonishing how many massive mods there are for this game, each one of those sounded like a whole other game :0 thanks for reviewing! I just got this game a few weeks ago absolutely love it (I know it's over a decade old but you can't beat the classics and it was cheap!)
I just recently found your videos through your mod reviews on warband and thank you for giving honest reviews and will definitely be trying out most of these mods. Gonna be on the lookout for guide videos for these mods also
The last days and warsword conquest are my favorite mods that I've been playing for years until I started bannerlord. I do agree how you've ranked them and I expected you to rank Perisno as #1
I am quite suprised pendor is in the botton when perisno is in top, for me pendor and perisno both are amazing, perisno bit better. overall I agree, reason why I love last days on earth is that I either cheat so money is not broblem, or make money making into max, either way it is great. but yeah perisno is great.
Absolutely! While in theory, bannerlord is far more ambitious, bigger and on a larger scale, warband has mods that took years to develop! Which also means bannerlord mods on a much larger scale will also take a long time from now to come out. So meanwhile, warband on sale on steam will only be a few dollars, and all mods mentionned in this video are free. So totally worth it!
That's the first time in my life that I've ever heard someone say "I don't like Lord of The Rings". Though you later said that you are a die hard fan of ASOIAF, so I guess it makes sense 😂.
Might I suggest the independence of chile mod it really should tick a lot of your boxes and I'm surprised you didnt mention it and must tell you the dev of that mord is fast at work for the 5.0 version so you could get into the mod once it launches or even now 4.0 is really good
I know i am replying very late, but yeah. I generally dont like how much drop bows and crossbows have (and its near impossible to shoot on long range because you simply dont see where your shot lands) and they wont deal that much damage to heavy units anyway unless you headshot with a heavier crossbow. I never really bothered with ranged things in perisno as a result. Powerstrike 15 with the hardest hitting weapon i can find all the way 💪
YOU DIDNT MENTION "Chronicles of Might and Magic"!!! Thats crazy!!! Thats like one of my favorite with genuine spell book and pictures and spell points!!! And cool system of developing your character past your stats with drops from different dungeons. You can get your stats even like to 60 +
@@TerryDuke I consider Pendor to be by far one of the highest quality mods: good optimization, a beautifully designed map, nice graphics and interface, names of factions and characters, music, colors, weapons and armor, all this is amazing. In terms of quality, it could even surpass the original game and its DLC's. However, Pendor has a problem, namely it is boring. 200 days was enough for me. The gameplay boils down to monotony very quickly, it's not much different from a vanilla game. In this regard, Perisno is much more interesting to play because there are many new mechanics, quests and events that immerse and tighten much more.
I hate gekokujo although I think I have downloaded the mod wrong cuz all troops other than heros take too long to level up, I can't win any battles as even the basic enemies are stronger than my 60 man party and lastly when I join as a retainer and ask for leave randomly the mfering half of japan declares war on me.
Nice video, sorry that i could not get back to you with some new mods. I think you should keep producing videos on Warband and Bannerlord mods. This community need all around modding channels like what you are doing
L’aigle could’ve been so amazing if it wasn’t abandoned. My hopes are still high for between empires because what it offers is unlike any other mod. but at the moment it is borderline unplayable with how frequent the crashes are.
There shouldn't be crashes anymore at all in the current version. We fixed those in 2021 (I think?), the very frequent crashes were and issue with some collision models. I haven't had crash reports from anyone in a year
I may be outdated in this statement here, but last time I was on the between empire discord it was not looking great, the creator spent their time memeing and didn’t answer genuine mod questions in a positive manner
If I’m being honest, I’m not looking for a mod that changes the entire game into a different world with a different story, but rather I am looking for a mod that makes the vanilla experience smoother and better, fixing its own flaws and adding maybe some features. Does anybody have any mods like this?
Very unfortunate the lack of love for Paradigm Worlds. A lot of people just see it as a schizo mess of nonsense. That its not supposed to make any sense. But after playing it for years, I got to say there is no other warband mod that holds up. The mechanics take a while to master, but its all worth it. It’s even worth learning about the lore, the story is one of kind, and it all makes sense after a bit of reading on the mod makers timigi website.
Wow, top 10! Thank you! Yeah, unfortunately crashes are an issue due to the many materials/textures. I hope to reduce them in the future, but I fear they will never truly go away
What hate? I didnt hate on it. But i did establish what my prefererences are. If i enjoy mods with new gameplay elements and a new world, well this one doesnt check the first mark and the second is largely lost on me, since i didnt play skyrim. A good for skyrim fans for sure, but that's about it for me.
Of all [7.5-10K hrs gameplay]: 1: Warsword Conquest, 2: Prophesy of Pendor, 3: The Last Days of the Third Age, 4: A World of Ice and Fire. All others far behind.
I don't agree with your placings on Pendor, TLD and Warsword, but I really want to talk about your decision to put Age of Sword & Sorcery ahead of Warsword Conquest. Yeah I get it it has cool sword animations and new troops that are made by the mod author, but Warsword just has so much more to offer. Leave the magic, potions and dungeons. I am not saying age of Sorcery is bad, but you didn't even mention the unique items, grenades, the fact that you can summon units on the battlefield, etc. Anyway I respect your opinion and I hope you change it especially about Pendor and WC, also WC is also still actively developed and it also has a big monster submod. Also about the battle size in perisno and reinforcements, you can do that with any mod that has Diplomacy in it. And if the battle size is too limited for you, you can install a tool called " Warband Battle Sizer" which lets you edit the battle size of any mod. Edit 2: I just found out you know about Warband Battle Sizer. Oh well that was the first video I watched so, yeah.
Looking at the shaders, how the f did you get 16th century working with WSR? I get spammed with ”...has left part” messages every second if I try to run it with WSR2 :(

for me number one was always prophesy of pendor , i tried to like perisno was so boring and buggy it is not even in my top 20
@@KYCb_0w0 dude perisno is a mod that every single useless element were put on pendor has a char and has a great story that no mod haven't achieve yet
I'd highly recommend the ACW revived mod. It just got a massive update too
Best mod imo

"I never really liked the Lord of the Rings" this comment is offensive and sacrilegious... I'm subbing
So its pretty accurate then
@@HenryAnderson-th7en nah.
The Skyrim Civil war mod is like.. unobtainable these days... a golden relic if you will..
true, can't find it anywhere
@@AdamYang-z7h I've looked.. I think people privately trade it on Discord and reddit but you'd have to search really hard in the message boards etc.. lol If you find it lmk and vice versa! 😂😂
Great list, have you tried Star Wars Conquest? I believe is one of the best mods for sure.
Never heard of it, will look it up.
Yeah, PoP is fairly stable, that's a bonus for sure. But having no issues with Perisno, I definitely enjoy it more.
Prophesy of Pendor on 26th? GET LOST.
Prophesy of Pendor should really be up there. I understand that it’s personal preference, but it’s by far the most polished mod out there.
Polished isn't necessarily good. It's one of my least favorite mods because they made a lot of decisions that just make it kind of boring and slow
rising sun also a submod for gekukujo
for me it's:
6th: Prophecy of Pendor
5th: L'Aigle
4th: Gekokujo
3rd: A Clash of Kings
2nd: Last Days of the Third Age
1st: Perisno
I can see that spice has changed your eyes colors duke 😂😂
This a dune reference? 😆 i think i just oversaturated the shot, i'm almost wearing lipstick too 😂
This is EXACTLY why I previously subbed. Thanks for another awesome video!
Thanks for the sub! Tell your friends :P
I can 100% agree on this list. Im so happy i found this channel, i found out about new mods thath i didnt now they existed like brytenwolda or Aut Ceasar, such a good mods. I hope for new warband and bannerlord videos
Thanks, you got plenty of mods to try out before you need new content from me though :P
it's astonishing how many massive mods there are for this game, each one of those sounded like a whole other game :0 thanks for reviewing! I just got this game a few weeks ago absolutely love it (I know it's over a decade old but you can't beat the classics and it was cheap!)
Have fun :D
I just recently found your videos through your mod reviews on warband and thank you for giving honest reviews and will definitely be trying out most of these mods. Gonna be on the lookout for guide videos for these mods also
Thanks! Enjoy the content :)
As a newcomer to the series is it worth buying warband if you can't afford bannerlord right now?
So totally worth it!
can you do video about mount and blade warband napoleonic wars like the one of vikings conquesets
Maybe but NW never really interested me.
That's the first time in my life that I've ever heard someone say "I don't like Lord of The Rings". Though you later said that you are a die hard fan of ASOIAF, so I guess it makes sense 😂.
These interests aren't mutually exclusive of course, but yeah, the main appeal of ASOIAF is the opposite of LOTR :P
Might I suggest the independence of chile mod it really should tick a lot of your boxes and I'm surprised you didnt mention it and must tell you the dev of that mord is fast at work for the 5.0 version so you could get into the mod once it launches or even now 4.0 is really good
I never liked to much fantasy in my games so for me 1417 was defiantly my favorite the wse is my favorite thing ever
I highly recommend to try out 457 AD, one of the best Singleplayer mods I ever played. Kind of similiar to Brytenwalda.

Sixteenth-century is great but it's overwhelming it's just a lot
I CANT STOP I HAVE LIKE 10 SAVE FILES I SHOULD FINISH BUT I CANT I JUST WANT TO PLAY SO MANY DIFFRENT ONES
Playing Paradigm worlds multiplayer must feel like the average online game experience from the late 2000s/ early 2010s
Gekokujo is legit one of theee best mods it just feels good to play and being a really big japanese history buff I love the atmosphere
i just wish that perisno had a (balanced) firearm in the game thats what im desperately missing in that mod
Powerstrike 15 with the hardest hitting weapon i can find all the way 💪
What version of Phantasy Calradia do you play? I use V158 from nexusmods and it's... "playable." I've had a few bugs and stuff.
No Star Wars Conquest?
YOU DIDNT MENTION "Chronicles of Might and Magic"!!! Thats crazy!!!
Thats like one of my favorite with genuine spell book and pictures and spell points!!! And cool system of developing your character past your stats with drops from different dungeons. You can get your stats even like to 60 +
For me the best mod is AD 1200 ,but its removed. I have played for 1000 hours on it
Honestly I think Pendor was better than Perisno
As many others have argued. I do think it was overhyped for me though.
Thanks! I will start with Bones of Ragnvald, then definitely try the Perisno. Keep up doing the good work, peace
Thanks, and have fun!
Ah 1257 AD. I remember knocking the Pope unconscious in Italy.
Is there any mods that you can respawn after die in battle, or maybe control another troop?
1257 AD and Diplomacy Litdum Reloaded both had the ability to take control of a random unit once you're killed.
16th century is jaw dropping. literal dream come true lol
I still playing warband from 2016 ... Pendor is the best mod
No worries, as you can see I still had my hands full ;)
Light Darkness top 1 forever. The best mod in terms of replayability.
Viking conquest is my all time favorite warband exoerience.
9:27 i'm glad i'm not the only one that doesnt like pendor. It was boring imho. Its just native but with different locations and characters
Maybe i should back on warband, my pc is to old for bannelord 😢 last time i play mnb2 modded it takes 5-7 mins to load the battlefield
Did you play the Bannerpage mod? Its a vanilla enhancement more likely.. very very good for those who want a better vanilla-style game.
Someone didn't watch the full video. :P
@@TerryDuke ops.. Didn't pay enough attention to the honorable mentions.. My bad! It is a great video nonetheless!!

Warband se tornou meu jogo favorito e anda me ajudando muito com o tratamento da minha depressão, minha medica elogiou muito e recomendou uma rotina para o jogo
If I’m being honest, I’m not looking for a mod that changes the entire game into a different world with a different story, but rather I am looking for a mod that makes the vanilla experience smoother and better, fixing its own flaws and adding maybe some features.
Does anybody have any mods like this?
@@destiny3988 look at the honorable mentions, it's exactly what you want
16th century mod is overwhelming lmao
Very unfortunate the lack of love for Paradigm Worlds. A lot of people just see it as a schizo mess of nonsense. That its not supposed to make any sense.
But after playing it for years, I got to say there is no other warband mod that holds up. The mechanics take a while to master, but its all worth it. It’s even worth learning about the lore, the story is one of kind, and it all makes sense after a bit of reading on the mod makers timigi website.
14:57 Frogmouth...full plate armor duel what is that mod, i NEED IT!
Bannerpage
Thanks guess im reinstalling warband again...@@TerryDuke
i do agree that perisno is the best mod in warband but men did i feel sad seeing prophecy of penor so low

I want Dickplomacy for Bannerlord so badly it was Epic.
Closest thing rn is hot butter 😄
Soo... Bannerpage seems to be pretty difficult in building your first warband right?
Not really, depends on the choices you make.
16th century doesn’t include my country 😢
Wow, top 10! Thank you!
Yeah, unfortunately crashes are an issue due to the many materials/textures. I hope to reduce them in the future, but I fear they will never truly go away
I figured. Still, really enjoyed it! Keep it up!
floris evolved is my all time favorite warband mod
between empires should be number 1 in your opinion
Doesn't like Prophesy of Pendor. Opinion automatically invalid.
I haaave to ask as somone hwo likes brytenwalda so much what is your opinion on Viking conquest??
I made review of it, check it out 🙂

Tigger moment. Why the hate on the Skyrim mod? Yes, it is mainly a reskin. But what's wrong with reskinning a good game?
I know you're trying to hit the 10 minute mark but you didn't have to go this far.
Overdoing it is my specialty.
12:50 he forgot to mention how painfully often between empires crashes.
My experience was fairly stable though, I don't even remember it crashing.
I agree with Laigle... it needs more work! I don't really have any favourite mods but I think the rising sun was a mod I spent a lot of time

All natural, the ladies keep telling me i have nice lips. 😚
Probably overemphasized from applying saturation, color grading aint my specialty.
Eh, i kinda expected Star wars conquest mod
Yeah with so many mods to play, there's still plenty more I can't cover. I did write the mod down for future videos though
Of all [7.5-10K hrs gameplay]: 1: Warsword Conquest, 2: Prophesy of Pendor, 3: The Last Days of the Third Age, 4: A World of Ice and Fire. All others far behind.
I would rank "Warsword Conquest" (warhammer mod) much, much higher. But I totaly agree that Perisno is the best!
I’ve never played warband or bannerlord but am very interested, I feel
Like I’m going to have a lot of fun.
Oh boy, be ready to invest a few months of your life into warband ;)
