@devrydiver I speak with what is considered a 'standard' American accent. I grew up in Florida but do not have a southern accent. I then spent about 5 years each in Indiana, Boston, and New York City.

Hi! This video helped me a lot. Can you do some more videos about the "th" pronunciation? I really can't find a way to say "North Pole" correctly. Thank you!
I believe that the American Standard pronunciation is what's spoken mostly New York state, except, of course, in some areas of NY City such as Queens, Bronx and Brooklyn. On the east coast, this standard accent is also spoken in Connecticut and New Jersey and it appears that California follows suit in the west . It's interesting to observe that Newscast anchors will be required to have or be trained in that standard accent so as to be able to go on national TV.
Hi! It sounds like you are probably using too much tension when making the TH consonant sound! You don't want to release the TH sound into a schwa. Try keeping the tongue a bit looser and more flexible so you can slide it back in to the D position quickly. This takes practice! :)
I can say it slowly pretty fine but in a sentence whenever I speak naturally I tend to make a mess by omitting the 'th' sound. My tongue cannot just get in time to move from the position of making the 'r' sound to making 'th' one
Can I make a shortcut for "birthday": After making the TH sound, in order to make the D sound, we continue to place the tip of the tongue between the teeth, but the rest of the tongue is actually lifted in the mouth which blocks the air from flowing easily past the tongue and teeth. In this way, will we end up with a D consonant? (This is inspired by Tom's video of showing how some students making TH sound as D sound.) Thanks!
For your birthday, can you identify the verbs about "surprise," expressions, sentences, as well as tones of voice on the "I"? *EDIT:* At the start of your video, at least surprise the viewers, but you can't go, "Surprise!" at them.

Hello. I was wondering if the following words are pronoun with a flap t or a true t. ‘little’, ‘bottle’, ‘beetle’ etc.
I've hear that you can make /d/ sound unvoiced, like /t/ sound. Is it correct?
Great question! The D consonant is always voiced.
Which Rachel? 4:00
Hi Rachel, I was wondering what kind of american accent you have. Is it from the north or the south?
