I am learning so much about composition and taking a photo and making it better in a painting. Granted, it takes me 7 to 10 redos before I get the painting to look nice but I am learning about what works and what doesn't work, mostly by doing what doesn't work.
Love these videos! I’d love to see a side by side video where you take the digital sketch and turn it into even a rough painting. I’m sure there are translation issues that occur and ways paint dances differently.
There is something permissive and inspiring about how easily you translate these photos. It shows that it’s easy. I’d love to see that same ease shown in the next step!
