I am the opposite I spend most of my time deleting the items that sold on Poshmark from eBay 😂 it really comes down to what you sell and which platform your target audience is on. Poshmark had a younger audience and ebay has a more mature customer base.
I don’t know if you noticed but it looks like Poshmark is including shipping and taxes in the new calculation of fees, before it was calculated based only the item sale price…
I made a $15 sale on Posh and they charged me 3.33 in the past I was charged $3.00. Mannish (CEO) said Sales from $3-$300 will have more in money in their pocket due to the new fee structure. Apparently not when you sell something for $15.🤷🏻♀️ we will see where it goes.

I hope eBay doesn’t do this. I haven’t sold a thing on Mercari since the changes. If I discount my merch so the buyer is paying the same as on eBay, then what is the point of switching the fees to buyers? Sellers always pay the fees. That’s the price of sales. Sell a house-you pay the realtors. Buy a house-you pay closing. It’s like paying for the service being provided.
Unfortunately, ebay is most likely going to this buyers fee thing too. They already did it in the UK... They are seriously going to destroy the reselling business
Set & Pair term usage really depends on the item type, context or common usage. For instance, you have a pair of scissors or trousers and those are single items. You usually have a set of Salt and Pepper shakers (rather then a pair) because they go together, but are not often exactly the same, but a pair of sneakers have a distinct left and right. But you have a matched set (or pair) of dueling pistols, as close to identical as possible. But to comment on Candice’s question, a set can be as few as two pieces if that’s all that were planned for or as many as originally conceived, such as a chess set.
Why successful Poshmark sellers put up with the shinanigans: For $25 you can have it all automated. I don't play any reindeer games but profit equally with my eBay store. It may be silly but it's good business.
I was already thinking about not cross listing on posh anymore because of the hoops you have to jump through and the constant lowball offers and I think this new fee thing just made up my mind for me.

I wouldn't say the fee statement is a lie. I think it's less than clear. If they would have said "seller fees" instead of "fees" it would be accurate. It's not that much of a correction in my opinion.
The fee structure applies to Posh Ambassador sellers only right now as its in beta until end of Dec. So not all sellers will see this change. Youre the 3rd video i have seen bring it up, but none have mentioned the seller status required to be part of the fee beta. I am Posh Ambassador II, but have not made a sale today or yesterday to see if the fees structure has truly taken affect yet.

eBay UK: I watched Nic Hills commentary on the way they are dealing with small Private sellers and have to wonder if it isn't just more Tomfoolery to make more and more of their small sellers be forced into changing to Business accounts to keep selling on eBay. The long term goal may simply be to get the small sellers to "step up" and commit to larger accounts.

Your posh calculations are incorrect. You will now pay fees on the TOTAL SALE (including sales tax and shipping.) Sellers will save precious LITTLE and only on sales above $50. Posh is actually DOUBLE DIPPING, and it's very deceptive since many people did not catch the *Total Sale included in their announcement.
I heard yesterday from Gloria (another youtuber) but it's in beta and only rolled out to those who are Posh Ambassodor status. Since you have been on there for yrs I am assuming your probably Posh Ambassador II like I am. I didn't make any sales yesterday or today to see if anything has reflected or not. It is also only in Beta until end of Dec before it rolls out to all sellers. I don't keep up on Posh news or updates to have caught it myself. Just chance video watching for me.

The biggest problem with poshmark is the 5# limit and priority mail only...light weight items cost 5# rate.

I hadn't either until I sold a pair of shoes just a few days ago. But that's been it since the change. Hopefully they'll see this isn't working.

That is for the discounted shipping given to Posh Ambassadors. Everyone is getting the new split fee change.
Except on a $50 sale you have to base the 6% off of what the buyer pays with tax and such…so it still is close to 20%😅
The fees are also on the the taxes and the 1,2, or$3 and shipping charge.
