I did this yesterday after watching your video. There was more water than trees ! Very muddy and slippery but fantastic for a first timer like me who is new to this sport. Thankyou.
Been going for years..its only an hour from me and I love it...I end up there nearly once a week...took my ebike and its awesome doing the techy forest climbs.
Thanks mate. The place has changed a lot since this video. its become a little more family friendly. Which is not a bad thing. But for an experienced biker like your self who rides the trails you do up in Scotland. not sure this place would be challenging enough for you. More for newbies id say
Brings back great memories of when i went here a few months ago, love the place, i never did long way down though, i will have to try that one, great vid mate, excellent riding :)
@@TrailFinder , ye, im still a bit sore but luckily no serious damage, apart from a bruised hip and a suspected broken finger, should be back on my bike next weekend :)
Like a good blast around Gisburn. The volunteers have done a great job and have made the most of the forest topography. It could just do with some bigger hills as the decents are over pretty quickly.
I've only rode here once and it was snowing, -2°c and I enjoyed it then. Looks awesome in the dry warm weather. I'm going to make the visit again in the next few weeks 🤘🏼
Great video! Used this to get an idea of what there is down Gisburn, heading there tomorrow. Weather looks epic for you, meant to be abit damp tomorrow, adds to the fun
Not been for some time . Totally agree with the hope line . Was better with the big single drop off. And that corner needs taking out ..kills your speed 👍
Looks awesome mate, I've just started riding again after 15 years out of the saddle. 40 young now and loving it all again. Me and a couples of mates were going to go today but one had to cancel (lift guy with van) Luckily I'm not too far away near Preston so WE WILL hit it soon
Trail-Finder I literally just spoke to my mate he said he's been loads, even camped over (with beers) haha. I just bought my bike a few weeks ago off my cuz for £100 It's only a Scott Aspect hard tail but it'll suffice for now. I fit a new pair of forks yesterday as the suntour ones were well buggered. I've not done anything serious yet as I'm still building my legs up again lol Luckily tho I have a very active job which I think that's kept me reasonably fit. I said to wife when I turn 39 and 3/3rds I'm getting a bike again Loving it just jumping off kerbs etc 😂 Take care bro and thanks for your reply. PS we're deffo going next weekend
Trail-Finder The frame is 18, always used to be my size yonks ago. I always preferred hard tails also 👍🏻 The price of some full suss now tho !!! Eeeek !!! 😂
Good run mate, was there Friday did 3 laps, shame much of the Forrest areas have now been felled, looks like a nuke has gone off in some sections, the trails still there but now feels weird.
@@TrailFinder Don't hate me, I was on my Ebike, I have a normal trail bike but don't get much chance to get down there so when I do I take the ebike so I can spend all day there and nail the 8. Did 66 Miles on Monday on my normal bike on the canal, training to do the 127 miles Leeds and Liverpool canal in a day. BTW you are a very fast rider the video makes it look easy but I know dam tricky in some areas, and your up hill technical climbing is fantastic well done mate.
you should go there again and go to the top of the mountain they got some REAL techy stuff. It made me almost crash looking at it and doing the red trail
Stewart Summerside defiantly agree with you there Stewart. If anyone is new to biking or a little unfit it’s not the best place to start riding. I do enjoy the tech here. Makes up for the lack of speed
@@TrailFinder Went last weekend, just watched your video and it brought me here. Been Delamere forest and Llandegla, looking for some other places to try. Loving being back on a bike. Great Videos, keep it up
Im going here tomorrow! Thanks for the video! Is this an ebike your using? This video is my favourite of the gisburn ones so thanks also that Hully Gully! Captured boss. The bit at the end were you coming into the corner at speed but stay on! 🤘🏻
@@TrailFinder Man this looked crazy fast to me & you say at the end its not the fastest haha. Do you have your seat slammed on the likes of hully gully & twisting through the trees? Sorry for the questions! I want to be faster!
How does this place compare to dalby forest...which can be one hell of a long slog...is gisburn a bit easier to manage if you're a bit of a fat knacker like me :)
Hi Dave. Gisburn is completely different. It’s a slow speed technical trail centre. And about 13 miles in total if you did everything. Dalby is 21 and cross country. Both are tough in there own way
@@TrailFinder love your vids and the coniston water is top of my list saved on Strava cos I love a view, can I ask a quick question, what's your best tyre, with winter round the corner I'm thinking magic Mary's but so many different opinions

Not been Gisburn since I was a kid, at least 15 years ago when i lived nearby. Looks good i might have to go back.
Heading out to Gisburn on Saturday for the first time!
Hope you have a great time 👍
@Maddux Lance thanks man, works for me, your girlfriend is hot glad I got the chance to hack

bob bobby everything’s good fun on an ebike. I need to get my self one 😁
This place looks great. Hoping to bring my trail bike here in 2023. Great video bud.

TheGib74 thanks mate. Long way down is a tough one on the legs. That last berm is mental

Looks like a cracking ride, adding it to me "to-do" list.
Looks a great place to ride Mate. Great footage and commentary.

Awesome, looked like you had the place to yourself 👍
Thanks for the tour. Looks decent.
audiosabre your welcome. Glad you enjoyed it
What a beautiful ride! And no Hills unlike here in Marin County Ca.
Did not know about that turn off for the slab. Looks like a good challenge for my next visit. Good videos by the way.
Been going years and that was my 1st time. its very techie. and I will hit it every time I go from now on 😀👊
Loved the vid💯 looks really good‼️also love how you perfectly dodge the puddles😂
Thanks Thomas 😁
We're going next Sunday, looks mint. Cheers mate.👍

Trying this place out in a few weeks on my mtb - can't wait!
Great video, some smooth riding. Looking forward to getting back to Gisburn now 👍
Luke Mitchell not been since I did this video. So need to get back my self. Enjoy when you do go 😁

I love ebikes. I may get one my self soon. Maybe a 2021 model.
Just been here today really good trails
We drove down from newcastle 2 .30 hours' well worth the journey was wet and muddy
It’s a great place. But also a very wet place to ride. Glad you enjoyed it 👊
Looks amazing pretty new to it, don't know if my Trek Marlin 7 2022 could handle it though ??
You could ride gisburn on any bike. The place has been sanitised a lot since this vid
me and my cousin are going here next week so thought id check it out ...this will be my first proper mtb trail ride lol
Enjoy!
Great vid, great riding!
Thanks mate 😁
Amazing riding skills and nice vids👍😍
Thanks 😁😁
Great video ! It’s only 30 min away from me I went a demeaning years ago. N after seeing this video I should be going in the morning 👌
Imran Hussain meant to be a great day tomorrow as well weather wise. Have a great time
Thanks mate I went n it bought back some memories !
you should go there again and go to the top of the mountain they got some REAL techy stuff. It made me almost crash looking at it and doing the red trail
This place looks epic. Any reason why the Forestry England website only shows 4 trails? You seemed to be riding some not shown on the website.
All official trails and part of the red route. With a few black options
Brilliant video your best yet love long way down but gisburn is a very pedally trail centre and if you're not fit it isn't enjoyable 👍
Stewart Summerside defiantly agree with you there Stewart. If anyone is new to biking or a little unfit it’s not the best place to start riding. I do enjoy the tech here. Makes up for the lack of speed
I am going here tomorrow, looks fun and challenging! Where do the trails start Is there a postcode I could drive straight to?
The trails start from the main carpark. If you google gisburn Forest it will give you the post code for the carpark. Enjoy 😁
Going here tomorrow the first time!
Hope you have a great time Shaun 👊
With the current weather conditions, where would you guys suggest for nice trails? Live in Cheshire so what are my options? Thanks for great video
cambike probably degla. Near you and all weather. Just posted a video from there

What's a good tyre for this place ?
love the video !!
looks a great trail :-)
Mark Page Home Studio you can’t beat gisburn
Looks tight between the trees or that the camera
It’s tight
Great vid 👍 how easy is it to navigate round? I’ve looked at the trail info and seems pretty straight forward. Planning on heading there soon!
It’s very easy. Just follow the red arrows and you can’t go wrong
Is Gisburn all up hill and flat like dalby..? Watched your dalby video, Friday and did it Saturday just didn't expect it to be that flat 😳 😅
Dalby is Xc. Depending which vid you watched. I did say at the beginning what to expect. Gisburn abit more up and down
@@TrailFinder red and black runs, but I when expecting to peddle but didn't expect it to be that flat and up hill 🤣
Feel so stupid, been several times and clearly missed half of it. Need to go back and explore some more
Fraz Hussain get your self back there. It’s always good fun at gisburn 👍
Hi there, do you have the location where you started. Cheers
Matt Thompson 😂 the main car park 🤔

@@TrailFinder Thank you man 🤟
Where do you start from? Thanks
The trail centre carpark
Here or Dalby Forrest more fun?
Here. Dalby is XC loop. No fun downhills.
is any of that off piste??
henry hildo hi Henry. None of this is off piste.
Hardtail?

I’m running magic Mary front. Hans dampt on the rear. Was getting punchers every ride with Maxxis dhf’s. should be great for winter
Do you think that someone who can ride red trails could ride hully gully
Yes defiantly.
Nice skills
iqbal patel thanks 😁
Can u go on a bmx
If you want mate 😁
Sending it rapid man
👊
You forgot leap of faith
Wow what happened - this was shot just under 2 years ago and these trails are absolutely ruined now
Last time I was there the trails had turned more to family trails
