You lost millions in dollars but saved more than that to others. Who knows how many families you saved. It wasnt pointless, nothing is. Thank you for your service !
@@yoshimurahirihito bro, if he earns 10 million, his followers will lose 100s of millions. That is how betting sites operate. So no, not at all. 5 million is not going to change anything in that context
Thank you for writing this. There is a reason they're throwing that much money at a creator. Because it works. They will get it back multiple times by your viewers. Your community.
You, 3klik and warowl saved me from pouring my money into case openings. Your effort definitely was not pointless. And I wonder how many more people you have saved or at least warned. That's something to be proud of. I'm proud of you.
And unfortunately, now, since Jeff will start advertising gambling, more people will start the gambling life cycle and ruining their own lifes. What Jeff did before wasn't useless, it was purposeful, but I guess as he said, he will sell his values to secure a future for him, do I agree with him? absolutely not, but at the end, its his decision
I almost never leave comments on videos but felt like I should because I want you to know that there are people like me who support you and also support the decision you are making. You are a great person for holding your moral line, and against the hard realities of life I'm sure almost none of us would have been able to for so long. Your effort and dedication is very much appreciated, and I and others can make a great case for why it was also not meaningless, but you absolutely should not continue doing so at your expense. You deserve compensation for what you do and the fantastic value and joy that your videos provide. The system is the one that must change, and you should not pay the cost for it when it is clear that only people with regulatory power or valve themselves actually have the power and obligation to do anything meaningful about it.
Blaming the "system" for your own immorale actions while taking tens of thousand of "drug money". That's a classic. UA-camrs can always take other sponsorships.
@@FunLion you seem to lack understanding of anything at all apparently. im not even gonna go into deconstructing the propaganda that lead you to typing system in quotation marks and your dogshit stance overall, im gonna focus on the other thing you said. what "other" sponsorships are you thinking of? what kinds of sponsors do you think a cs youtuber could get? vpns that scare you into subscribtions with blatantly false advertising? products that are usually priced at 5 times their actual value? not to mention these sponsorships take up way larger amounts of time in the video than gambling sponsors do, driving the engagement away? for several times less money? the individuals who take the moral stance as you say here lose millions of dollars and get nothing in return. if you think they are the ones who you should be criticizing, you seriously need to evaluate your stance on this issue.
@@khajiit5556 it might not seem like it but yes it is worth it. That kind of money changes a person and most of the time for the worse. This guy done what 99% of us can not. He also done something a lot of people regret not doing. He 100% Kept his integrity and dignity he stuck to his morals. This is a good example of a real man and defiantly got a sub from me.
It reminds me when Warowl was being sponsored by an education website, trying to tell us about getting a degree instead of taking gambling sponsors. Ultimate respect for you guys, it's a sad reality indeed
I can't speak for everyone, but your stance on gambling and your fight against it really made me respect you so much more than others who lost their moral integrity when presented with such large sponsorships in their faces. Addiction is a horrible thing, and the fact that these sites prey on children and teens is especially evil. After I stopped playing cs, I remained subscribed to you, when I unsubbed from so many other cs UA-camrs. Thank you; you fought a long, hard, but honest battle, and you have my support, no matter which direction you go from here.
I agree to most things, but his battle wasn't an honest one. The odds were heavily stacked against him imo. It's better that you grab the money than a 14yo Yeff, think about us when you buy a new house and a Ferrari
This post and probably many others like it sound like a people pleasing cop out. You're thanking him for giving up... Take a look in the mirror, because you're giving up.
ive never done any cs gambling jeff. in highschool I saw lots of my friends lose hundreds on gambling websites and I never made those mistakes because of the videos you made. you made a difference and changed the outcome of my life. do not feel like u didn't make a change because you did, I cannot be the only life saved from that poison because of you being like a caring father warning us about danger in addiction
You helped way more people than you realize... You probably saved whole families from gambling addictions. Even if it's 10 or 5, I don't think it was worthless at all for them. Still best of luck for you in the future.
To be honest i respect you really for speaking out against gambling. I do think alot of people do not educate themselfs enough to know which risks they take while gambling. So aslong as you always stay clear from shady sites and state the odds (and that they are terrible..) good for you! Be happy with your family my man. Thats what really counts!
It is sad to see you give up, but remember: you were never alone. 3Kliksphillip, for example, has made videos about how terrible gambling is. He is a strange one, but the key thing is that there are people who hate gambling as much as you ever have. It has become more normalized, but there will always be stupid, self-destructive people out there ready to fight it. You aren't stupid enough to continue fighting, and while I don't respect that decision, I fully understand it.
Really respect that you made a video on this becuase behind closed doors you never see the pain that a lot of people go through but when your a content creator and they are offering you bags of money to promote them, it’s nearly impossible to say no unless you’ve seen what it can do to people
The thing about refusing all of those offers isn't that you aren't just trying to fight something, but you are stating your morals and sticking to them. The only issue with taking a gambling sponsor now, no matter how much research you put into it and how much they are vetted, is that you become a moral hypocrite and kinda lose the ability to take a moral stance against things like this in the future. Thank you for standing up against it as long as you have and I trust you will make a well informed decision whenever you do make a decision.
This isn't exactly the same issue as voting with your wallet, but it's a close cousin. His message was focused on the gambling and the content creators, but the solution never lied there. He should continue to tell the truth, that gambling is bad, and that people should push for harmful things like it to be more strictly regulated, just like mandating seatbelts. Refusing to take sponsorships is kinda like refusing to buy plastic cuz it's bad for the planet. It's not a bad thing to do, but if you can do better by living a better life and advocating for restrictions on the manufacture of plastic, then I personally wouldn't ask more of someone than that. Fixing the issue was never up to someone like Jeff, it's up to us all. His message stands as strong as ever.
I was about to say the exact same. Perhaps that's one of the reasons HOUNG and Warowl are the only 'tubers I still watch. I've noticed myself to have grown a some sort of inner blur on every ad related when I don't even see them nowdays as they just go by. But I wouldn't mind NOT having them at all.
@@just1ofgod he never promoted anything outside the game. In fact those videos are a testament to how bad case opening really is. The odds are always against you. Obviously, it’s still gambling but I don’t think it’s the same thing you mention.
Dude... the creators giving you feedback come across as assholes... Thank you for making this video, it's not just CSGO that has this issue, and unfortunately gambling and sports has been a combination that will never be broken. Especially as making enough money to live has become harder and harder I think gambling and everything it stands to give is just going to become more and more popular...
Everyones personality is different and many friendships are different. Me and some of my friends and assholes to each other, but we still love each other and tell one another so. Also I think Jeff was looking for their honest opinions. Sometimes those are the hardest to hear, give, or take. Im sure Jeff wasn’t Trying to highlight the msg as rude or mean, just a fellow colleague giving their side of the sponsorships Jeff never took and what they think in regards towards it. And when it comes to content creators reaching out to other content creators about a video and giving their opinion isn’t uncommon.
I must express my gratitude to you, 3klik, and Warowl for rescuing me from the perilous situation of recklessly spending my hard-earned funds on frivolous case openings. Your concerted efforts were truly invaluable and have not gone unnoticed. I am left to ponder just how many other individuals you may have assisted or at least cautioned from similar missteps. Your accomplishment is indeed one to take pride in, and I, for one, am immensely proud of your achievements.
If you had accepted the 10 million, your viewers would lose 100s of millions. Sad to see the last soldier fall. "If the world is against the truth, then I am against the world"
"The last soldier fall"? This isn't a war that has been lost and he's died on his sword. All that's happened is that he has now agreed to sell his viewers down the river to the gambling companies for money, many of whom are probably young teenagers. There's no romanticising that with some ridiculous martyrdom analogies.
As someone who was roped into gambling at a very young age, around 13, I always appreciated your stance on gambling. If I knew of you back then, I may have avoided it altogether, hard to say. I actually quoted one of your videos in a research project I did for college a little over a year ago. Now I'm sitting at 20 and finally have a grasp on it. There are still times I do it, but it's so much less than I used to, and I never have the mindset of winning going into it, just fun. I've easily lost over $17,000 over those 7 years. Gambling is a horrible thing and it's disgusting how normal it's become, especially with underage individuals. If I could go back, I'd never watch that maxmoefoe skinhub video that started it all. However, I completely understand your decision to say f it and make some money. Even with my experience, I probably would do the same. It's a messed up world we live in. Unfortunately, you're probably right in thinking that it doesn't matter anymore. The only way it would is if the vast majority of influencers had the same mindset you do.
@@TheRealCatof 17k was over the whole 7ish years. It increased a lot when I got my first real job. They did try to help, it isn't on them. It was my own stupid decisions.
Thank you for sharing your story! I also was addicted to gambling and it is honestly just scary. It is something that is true normalized everywhere you look, not only just limited to CS:GO but in all the major Sports. It is easier than ever to throw all your money out of the window from the comfort of your own home and there is little to nothing to prevent something like that.
@@DSyr73 I wouldn't even say it's your own stupid decisions. Those gambling website should not be allowed (and probably actually are not allowed) to operate without actually verifying their customers are 18+, but they know they earn a ton of underage kids.
Much respect! You stood your ground for YEARS but you do need to take care of your family. Your core supporters still know your stance even if/when we start to see the advertisements. I will continue to support this channel and your honesty in this video is genuinely appreciated!
To be honest, after last years video abou thif my first thought was that by then i personally would have already given up, and im not gonna say "good for you just take it", im gonna say that im sad that this situation is so fucked up that aeven you gave up, but i understand the frustration, so the only thing i am gonna say is: Thank you for al the heard work you put in bringing light to the dark room that gambling is, thank you and congratulations for at least be the one trying to change things, most people would just say "watever" and go on, but you truly tried to be the spark that light up the fire of revolution, and for that courage i want to both congratulate and thank you. Even if you give up now, im still going to remember all you said about this, and i think many more people that watched your journey will do same.
Its a sad video, but I think most people in this world will understand that at some point your personal safety/gain is worth more than morals. Especially when it comes to such a hard fight like against gambling. You should be proud of yourself for having the courage to admit that you dont want to do it and never did!
@@ShallowContrarianIt feels like they're taking the easy way out on this, sure you might make money out of it, but at what cost? The guilt lingering for that long, is it really worth it?
@@WizeOn It is the easy way out, but i dont think the guilt of stopping will be too bad because he tried fighting for what he thought was right for over 10 years and nothing came of it, Now he can put that battle aside and secure his future for himself and his family. I think morally speaking, Setting your family up for the future is more important than trying to fight a losing battle against Gambling addiction but i suppose that's just my personal view.
Honestly, even if you don't feel like you've made a significant impact in the community as all these gambling sites are still up, your stance on the issue over the years have definitely helped a lot of people come to realize how much of a scam they are just from watching your content. It's not about removing all these sites right now, but the creators that we all love to watch and enjoy talking out about sensible things like this are what make the most difference to me.
It certainly helped me. I used to spend money on buying or unboxing the random cases I would get, or from operations. I then stumbled on Jeff's video about it, and he mentioned how to actually track how much money you spent on those unboxing... I was shocked! It was so much! I decided to stop unboxing cases, and also if anything I just sell those cases now and it helps to fund purchases of games. I will simply not doing this anymore.
@desfefe Exactly, I was the same way when I first started when the game went f2p. Luckily I only got roped in on about 50$ loss, but I understand now if you want to ever open up cases, you need to make sure you're ready to lose whatever you put in, because that's exactly what's going to happen. The house always wins
This is such an important video!! you will always have my highest amount of respect for staying principled and not being afraid to talk about this massive issue! i wish other streamers would realize the harm they are causing by normalising gambling for a young audience.
Big love to you Jeff, You always amaze me on how strong you are, how honnest and loyal you act ! Your fight was eventually pointless on the game itself, but as for every fights, even the small little person that got converted by your words is a win ! It's a poor reward. It's even meaningless, but what a noble attempt you had for such a long time ! Take now what you deserve, protect your priorities even if this means going with them ! You fought well long enough !
I just recently got back into the CS space. This was a very important video, and I fully support your decision. Thanking for holding the line for so long. You've saved people from wasting millions. I wish you and your family the most success and happiness anyone could experience.
Yeff, i normally never comment on your video's but this one struck me, you and warowl provided me with a bigbrother look on case openings and how bad the odds are so i never spend any money on cases but boy if i did i would dump all my money into it as a young adult (16-20) i wanna thank you for standing true to your point for this long. Hopefully you can secure the bag and get to make loads of cool video's for us to watch. You deserve it all my man!
It was always going to be a losing batting but I appreciate what you have done. Don't feel bad for taking the 'easy' way out, it comes to a point where you need to put yourself and your family first. Massive respect Jeff x
Man, I feel you. I'm going through tough times myself, so I can relate to you. And in general - you are the only youtuber in my memory that has gone through a lot of shit in life. I hope it does get better for you at some point and you can get some well deserved rest
I understand you bro :[, i love that you where always honest and personally you have helped me. Everytime i open cases i think back on your vids and i know im gonna lose money but i only open when i know i have spare money. Much love and btw i will watch your content even if you are a 90 years old
Big love bro, I just came across your channel and you’ve already gained so much of my respect. I fell into cs gambling very young and lost a lot of money, way to much for an underage kid… It drained me so much mentally and i developed mental problems from it, couldn’t sleep eat etc and couldn’t tell anyone because I was to ashamed…. But with such a young and curious brain I got addicted. :(, nowadays im no longer addicted tho, but i’ll never get back that money and time that i lost due to it..
You're the last csgo youtuber I follow because I care, and I do appreciate the video, no disappointment, just resignation with reality. Even though, go get the bag, we'll stick around anyway. Just beware of scammer sites and keep it as fair as posible, best you can do!
Much respect, also been around for a long time on and off making content, been approached non stop by gambling sponsors despite my channel being tiny in comparison to yours. They are the only ones that constantly reach out to sponsor and really the only way I can make money from my content but I won't touch them and I have huge respect for the big channels like yours that also resist.
I've been watching you for at the very least 5 years and consider you to be my favourite CS youtuber but that's not the only reason I respect you as a content creator. Your character/person is admirable, not to be tempted by the huge amounts of money and keep your stance on gambling in CS! Thanks for being you Jeff
Jeff youre efforts were not meaningless by any means I got into cs when i was 14. My friends made me play it and we enjoyed the heck out of it! Then they started watching a bunch of youtubers and, well, literally ALL of them started playing in a more toxic way and they started to buy boxes, keys, gamble. Hell they even got me to spend a few dozens of dollars on boxes. That is, until i watched your video on gambling, that along with the wholesome and actually good content you and warowl produced. think you guys saved me from serious addictions and made me a better, more mature person. while my friends were selling their steam items, games and accounts to get one more shot at a shiny knife (obviously none of them got it). I stood alone in spending absolutely no money in the gambling. They would try to make me open crates and such, as children do, but i just remembered the words from one of your older videos about gambling and ultimately refused. You saved me so much fucking money and from mental stress. Honestly thank you While I do understand your decision, It truly pains me that you chose to change your stance on this. You did make a difference, truly, it sucks that you didnt see it. And honestly, witnessing one of the people whom i respected the most take the easy way out makes me scared for the future I truly TRULY hope that you rethink this decision, because, you definitely played a part in changing my life for the better.
C'est triste. Mais je comprends. Honestly I commend you for sticking to your ideals for all this time, and I also commend you for putting your family and yourself first too. It's a shame the world is this way, like an absolutely massive difference for something that is unfortunately an easy decision for many. Good luck frero
C'est un combat et une rage saine que tu nous livre, ce n'est effectivement pas normal et perso, je suis encore plus fier de suivre ton contenu, bravo pour ton intégrité Jeff
It is sad to hear, but i understand. I don't think many of us would have been strong enough to reject such offers. Don't feel bad, we know your intentions and you motivation. You are still one of the most honest UA-camrs i know.
I am fully onboard with what you did and I respect that you went out of your way to not show any gambling, show how much a waste of money the cases are and not accepting any gambling related sponsorships ! It takes balls and self-awareness to do stuff like this and truly, if I ever start doing any sort of content-creation(like you), I will try to spread this message as much as I can.
I admire your mentally, I wasn't strong enough to say no to the amount of money thrown at me, but I don't think I regret that. You need big respect for saying no, you're one of the only few that did/have. I'm glad you acknowledge valve is running the biggest casino operation. In my opinion, it can't be one rule for valve and a different rule for others. If case opening in game exists, it should be able to exist on a website, with ironically, better odds. It's all over the scene these days and the whole pro scene is sponsored by gamba/betting websites. It feels like a big grey area, that valve let slide because they're doing it themselves. Morally, it depends on what you believe. I try to tell everyone the realities of the site, that you're most likely to lose, and to be 18+. Valve doesn't show odds, and don't tell people to be 18+. It's a part of the game that we play, heavily integrated by the developers themselves. As people with an audience, valve do not pay us to constantly promote their game. I wouldn't be able to do the crazy things I do (in terms of content) if it wasn't for these sponsors. Until valve stop it themselves, these sites will exist. It would take a huge change from within to end that, and with them making 100m a month, I don't see that change coming any time soon.
I don't mean to hate on you, but saying you don't regret taking a sponsor and ruining somebodies life for any amount of money is sad. Justifications for gambling are baffling, you're justifying somebody earning money based on the suffering of others. It contributes 0 to society. Give a kid a gun, tell them that they can shoot somebody, but there might be consequences and guns are illegal. You might say that is some crazy stretch, but in reality the amount of suffering, grief and ruin brought to anothers life is comparable. It's insane how little backbone people can have, justifying and rationalizing actions they take. I hope I could find that person that got into gambling because of you, bring them to you so you could face the consequences of your actions. The only reason why you can say what you did is because we are on the internet and nobody would do that. Disgusting, sad and a terryfing example of the human nature...
I would rather starve than have on my conscience just one young kid brought into the addiction of gambling cause of me. I guess money can buy even morality.
Man, that is the way every youtuber should deal with advertisements and stuff like that. Very strong and honest video, wish you and your family the best and well deserved!
One thing that bothered me throughout the entire video, you kept repeating that "no one cares". This is not true, as you clearly do care. That in itself is enough of a reason for you to go out and rightfully express your disagreement regarding gambling in CS:GO. And I'll be the first one to argue that sticking true to your opinion and being able to look at yourself in the mirror is so much more precious than any "controversially" acquired money. However, don't be too harsh on yourself, sometimes you need to do what you need to do. As long as you're not actively trying to scam people, you shouldn't be ashamed of anything.
I am actually sure that you *did* make a difference being vocal about your previous stance. It is just very hard to actually see the difference that you made, when most other csgo influencers pulled in the other direction and made orders of magnitude more addicts out of young people than you saved. But buried deep in that sea of depression there will be some kids, probably more than you think, that will have listened to you advice and gotten out of trouble. Hats off to you for that.
The fact you put so much effort, dedication and heart into trying to make the world a better place is nothing to be ashamed of. Your heart is definitely in the right place and I know for sure most if not everyone else in your position would have strayed from this righteous path when they got offers these amounts of money. You are an inspiration. But I understand that you need money to live good luck finding sponsors that at least do there best to meet up to your standards.
I have never been so sad after a video. To see an experienced fighter come back broken and give up everything he stood for. But I can't be mad at you either. You did the best you could. That's all I wanted. I wish you the best of luck. I hope your wave doesn't sink in the sea of hopelessness.
you sure got my biggest respect, it is harsh and cruel seeing it turning out like this, unfortunately you as a singular person cant change the system. If suddenly all people would negate gambling sponsors it would probably make a decent impact but so many people only see the money and not the wellbeing of their community. Personally I can totally understand people taking the huge sums of money that the gambling sites are offering since it just seems like easy money. You can be really proud of yourself for never becoming weak and promoting something you personally dont stand for.
It hurts to see that you are forced to go down this path. You were the reason I managed to drop my problems with cases, and I will always respect you and your positions no matter what happens. We're all proud of you Jeff, and stand with you!
I’m glad that you’re finally putting yourself first Jeff :) the only thing that I am genuinely curious about is how much you are being offered so it would be really cool if you could make a video on that (if ur contract allows you to ofc) love you and keep up the great content! I’ve really been, and I will be enjoying to watch it :D
Danke Jeff! Ich denke jeder der Familie hat versteht warum du in Zukunft machst, was du machst. Die Glückspielindustrie ist mittlerweile nur so groß, dass du nur scheitern konntest. Trotzdem nochmal danke für deine Mühe!
What about other sponsors? The classic ones you see at nearly every video are for example Audible or HelloFresh. Do these pay a lot less or are they not interested in CS content?
Thank you for making this video! I was literally addicted to gambling at 13-14 because of this (third party case opening websites) and it was considered normal. This is indeed horrible but we can’t do anything about it
I feel like I have to comment on this video. I use to trade a lot back in the day, every minute I had was spent trading then i discovered gambling. Every now and then I'd buy cases and open them just like the casual person would do but soon changed to betting on games on csgo lounge then on to actual csgo gambling sites. I use to have screenies of my opskins payouts when i use to win big, was in the ball park of $90k USD. I've made a lot and lost a lot and I 100% do not miss the anxiety it gave me. I haven't gambled for quite while now. It's sad to see how far it's gone with really no big intervention. I'm glad you talked about this big problem spreading. Your stance on youtubers and gambling is great but sadly money out weights most peoples mindset, and I'm glad you've kept to it over the years. Keep up the good work and do what you do best!
I just wanted to say I support your decision. A big part of gambling has to come from Valve and restrictions on sites, as it would be impossible for people to just agree to stop gambling. Plus, for the concerns of young people watching your videos, I feel it’s the parents responsibility to make sure their child isn’t spending hundreds gambling, but even so, more restrictions definitely need to exist.
I care. You talking out against gambling made me respect you. It made me respect WarOwl. It made me respect Ethan from H3H3. Because you all, like you said, saw the thing for what it was. I understand you feel defeated that A LOT of people just don't care about gambling and don't think there's any issues with promoting gambling to children. But now, you're just going to switch it up and betray your morals for money? What the hell? What you're doing is not "facing reality", it's in my opinion a straight up wrong moral decision. And you know it, because you spent 6 years or more speaking out against it. I think you're going to look back on this decision in the future and be really disappointed with yourself, even more than you probably are already feeling right now. Get that money. "L'argent n'a pas d'odeur". Tu verra bien si l'argent n'a pas d'odeur. I care. I really fucking care. This is the wrong move, an unethical decision. I hope you change your mind.
I stopped playing CS long time ago but I was following your channel as you made very entertaining videos, I was also please by your ethics on gambling and posture check 😂 RIP in pieced Jeff
Integrity is the one thing that matters in the online world. And you standing up for those (objectively right) ideas is a real good thing! Its understandable that you dont want to fight this any longer! And even if you accept offers from gambling sites to financially secure your family you can still create awareness! We value your opinion and we will be here for the ride whereever it goes
Sorry to hear Jeff. It's sucks to be defeated by society. I appreciate your efforts and they're not wasted. I promise we'll look back one day because you opened the door to the conversation.
Sounds like this was morally hard for u, but I think you're making the right move tbh. If you don't get the bag someone else will, so at least you're going to be a good/honest person about it (hopefully lol). Cheers mate
I think I'm more happy than disappointed to be honest, I am watching you since 2015 and I just think you deserve it. You are not doing it just to have more money, you are doing it so that the work you put into this channel will guarantee you your future which I always thought was the smartest thing to do, saving up so you don't end up with nothing. I hope you can read this and that these comments will help you ease your conscience

I've been following you for I don't know how long, but a long time, and I've always admired you for your fight against gambling and admired the way you were able to resist those offers. I'm a principled person too, but I'm also a pragmatist and I totally understand your position. You tried, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates you for it, but you just can't beat the market. I wish you good luck and take the money from gambling collaborations as a reward for fighting them ;-) I look forward to more videos! ❤
I feel sorry man, nice try tho... you always have my utter and most respect, ive been followinf u since i was a teenager im 23 now. not that much but i guess around 5-6-7 years. anyways u will forever be the best cs content creator out there, cant wait to see you partner with some good paying site, just so u and ur channel could survive... its competitive out there, and u need to drop your morals sometimes just so u can provide and survive. Understandable 100%. Best of luck Jeffy. c est rare pr que je comment sur tes videos, mais juste ceci pr te donner un peut de support et courage, j attends impatiement ton next video. a toute
It is very sad to see you changing your position towards gambling. Even if you don’t feel like you were impacting the scene, you should stand by your principles. Now, you will contribute to the sadness that is seeing gambling so spread and you will be part of the problem. That destroyed my family and you will be promoting the destruction of many others. Just because everyone does it, it doesn’t mean it’s ok for you to join the rest and be someone with no principles on your own.
Everyone nowadays seems to say “I should do this for myself and my family because at the end of the day it’s what counts”. Sure, you do you, but your decision will impact many other families. Especially those who are in tough situations will think gambling will be their way out and will suffer even more. You and your family be happy, but acknowledge that you will destroy many others.
I mean you could work harder somewhere else and make the money the morally correct way, but choosing the easy way just because everyone else is doing it, how does that not affect where you stand in your own eyes?
I've been subbed for 8 years, et d'ailleurs a la base parce que tu étais le seul créateur de contenu français à l'époque. All the videos you've done about gambling probably saved a lot of people, myself included, from ever using these websites, despite all the ads and sponsors from most streamers and youtubers. It wasn't pointles, in fact you kept your integrity and that's something no one EVER can take away from you. Thank you, Jeff.
thank you for your honesty jeff. I do feel your videos made an impact on sharing the message to the ones being able to recieve it. So that they could take your wisdom for their highest good. I believe any gambling is a byproduct from the imbalance of the societal system (money system). In the time of the (not so far away) future, when the systems change and we dont need to worry about money anymore, also the negative impacts of gambling slowly falls away. Im sure it will happen, its just a matter of time. The greatest visions are yet to unfold. but for now make sure to buy some nice food for you & your cat
I don't think you should be so critical of yourself, the world is a terrible place. You kept your integrity and it costed you. Everyone would agree, that money is an essential thing and UA-cam pays shit. So take care of yourself, most of us would probably skip the ads anyways. People who want to gamble will gamble, parents should take responsibility for their kids and you shouldn't feel bad for looking out for yourself. Keep it up, big man, we love ya ❤
You have earned not only a like and sub, but my respect. I hope you find the sponsors you need to support yourself and your family. I might get into csgo content creation myself but I was always wondering about the moral ambiguity behind gamba sponsores. I now realize the inevitability in cs and may accept some of those gamba sponsors since fighting it is impossible. Thanks for the insight
I am amazed how long you kept declining offers and I really respect you for that. I am not disappointed at this point it turned into what everyone does, so hope you manage to secure the bag
Gambling adverts definitely get viewers into gambling Why even justify it by showing other examples? The point is there will always be a group of people who got into gambling because of you :/
I respect what you did and thank you for your voice. I am sure it has impacted many lives. Have you considered doing channel memberships? I'm sure some of us would love to support you that way
Honestly your admission of defeat has to be the best and bravest thing I have seen you do in all these years, you have my and everyone's eternal respect
Now i realised, this are so f up. Im so used to see those gambling banners on streams until I think that's a normal thing. Imagine if he do get addicted to gambling and lost the sponsorship in the future, he will end up with tons of debt But most of the gambling site will ask if the users are over 18 tho
You are not alone. It is a very ethical viewpoint and is great that you stood like that for so long. I get why you choose to switch, and Im sure that even if you take that offers now, you are going to still be agains it. Keep it up :D
Yeff you did great and you deserve to throw the towel now. Your opinion on the gambling issue made me understand the extent of it and even helped me quit when i was in. And i really don't thing i'm the only one. Kudos to you and everyone still struggling to get out of it.

Jeff is just getting old and advertising for gambling is his 401k,it’s financial natural selection

Jeff is the only CS youtuber i watch at this point. Only one with any kind of integreti.

I agree to most things, but his battle wasn't an honest one. The odds were heavily stacked against him imo. It's better that you grab the money than a 14yo Yeff, think about us when you buy a new house and a Ferrari

@@AntonioEligius how epic would it be that Jeff kept on hating on gambling while being paid by gambling sites.. I"d love to see that ^^

This
Warowl too if I'm not mistaken?
gambling for kids have been normalized and encourage for over 10 years now. Every much a lost cause, unless you want the government invloved.
You and the Warowl were the only two true content creators who stands against gambling for all this time.

However, I completely understand your decision to say f it and make some money. Even with my experience, I probably would do the same. It's a messed up world we live in. Unfortunately, you're probably right in thinking that it doesn't matter anymore. The only way it would is if the vast majority of influencers had the same mindset you do.

I got into cs when i was 14. My friends made me play it and we enjoyed the heck out of it! Then they started watching a bunch of youtubers and, well, literally ALL of them started playing in a more toxic way and they started to buy boxes, keys, gamble.
So why do you not regret?

Thank you for making this video, you are an amazing person and what you did wasn't useless. Good luck with everything man
Man, that is the way every youtuber should deal with advertisements and stuff like that.
Except he literally said at the end that he's becoming weak and doing exactly that.
J'espère que tu vas bien malgré toutes ces merdes jeff.. Bonne continuation ❤
What about english ? ...
He used to live in Germany so i hoped he could understand me in german. Sorry
I stopped playing CS long time ago but I was following your channel as you made very entertaining videos, I was also please by your ethics on gambling and posture check 😂
RIP in pieced Jeff
well that was unexpected
I wish you good luck and take the money from gambling collaborations as a reward for fighting them ;-)
I look forward to more videos!

Even that alone is so much opportunity, but now it's being used to spread gambling ig
@@borderlineexemplary7090 dont think he will promote gambling sponsors, but trading websites surely, which work together with case opening websites ig
@@oldheliotrope i hope thats the case
Keep it up, big man, we love ya ❤
imagine if every single csgo gambling company sees this video and collectively agrees to never offer you a deal again just to prank you
Peace of mind then
he already took the deal dumb dumb
You have earned not only a like and sub, but my respect. I hope you find the sponsors you need to support yourself and your family. I might get into csgo content creation myself but I was always wondering about the moral ambiguity behind gamba sponsores. I now realize the inevitability in cs and may accept some of those gamba sponsors since fighting it is impossible. Thanks for the insight
I am amazed how long you kept declining offers and I really respect you for that. I am not disappointed at this point it turned into what everyone does, so hope you manage to secure the bag
Gambling adverts definitely get viewers into gambling
Why even justify it by showing other examples? The point is there will always be a group of people who got into gambling because of you :/
I respect what you did and thank you for your voice. I am sure it has impacted many lives. Have you considered doing channel memberships? I'm sure some of us would love to support you that way
I understand where your coming from, but its heartbreaking to see this defeat. Stay strong
Honestly your admission of defeat has to be the best and bravest thing I have seen you do in all these years, you have my and everyone's eternal respect
brave? Are you 12?
Opposite of brave imo
Now i realised, this are so f up. Im so used to see those gambling banners on streams until I think that's a normal thing. Imagine if he do get addicted to gambling and lost the sponsorship in the future, he will end up with tons of debt
But most of the gambling site will ask if the users are over 18 tho
So grown! Keep up Jeff... Your talks influence a lot of people
You are not alone. It is a very ethical viewpoint and is great that you stood like that for so long. I get why you choose to switch, and Im sure that even if you take that offers now, you are going to still be agains it. Keep it up :D
gambling killed my soul.
Just make money, people who wanna gamble will gamble and CS GO is very alive because its a money making skin factory for many.
Much respect to you brother. I always watch you and Sparkles. Do it bro, you deserve nice custom made lambo xD
Yeff you did great and you deserve to throw the towel now.
Your opinion on the gambling issue made me understand the extent of it and even helped me quit when i was in. And i really don't thing i'm the only one.
Kudos to you and everyone still struggling to get out of it.
lmao first world af
I dont think anyone would blame you for taking gambling related sponsorships. Get that bag king
I would, gambling is pure degeneracy. :)
@@natsuhiboshi7161 as he said, this is fighting against the wind. He has been against it for so long to achieve what? nothing, and sure its very sad but wycd...
@@JorjPlm stop fighting against the wind DOES NOT MEAN sponsoring it. It is not a direct consequence ffs.
@@JorjPlm How about this metaphor instead: A single person can't put this wildfire out, for sure; but committing further arson? No thanks.
Gambling destroys lives, it can not be supported.
Keep it up man, you're doing good content and fully deserved attention you have and money you can make for it
It's hard to try and fight something so long to just give in because of the pressure. But you are showing yourself that hey here's my stance, but I need the funds to provide. Jeff, always do what's best for you. Been watching for a long time and I agree with your points.
And once again we see greed winning over morality. What a damn shame. Enjoyed your content for a long time but sorry I'm out. Someone who openly admits to being a hypocrite but doesn't care isn't worth watching. Anyone know any other decent content creators that don't take sponorships from shitty gambling websites besides WarOwl?
Still held the stance for 10 years, which is much more than anything you've done ever.
I'm glad that you've stood on principle and done your best up to now, even though it seemed pointless. I'm okay with you changing your mind and accepting the money now. No one is expected to selflessly fight forever, and it's fair to say you've done your part. I'm glad you made this video to let people know what's going on.
