Excellent patina finish ,i workmwithleathergoods wallets, watch straps ect,i will experiment with this technique i already use saphir dyes, again excellent finish sir.
Ok, so I am wanting to pick this up as a hobby(I am not a woodshop guy, or a model airplane/train type), but I was wondering where the heck one acquires the undyed/tanned shoes like these?
I think it would have been better to use a dye instead of a polish for the black. After only a few weeks or wear that black will fade pretty badly and have to be reapplied. I learned this from using black polish to add some more dimension to a pair of boots I wear.
in the Shoe world, patina can mean two things: either what Richard is doing here, or the effect of a shoe that's been worn and taken care of for years. So you both are right.
The products he used are excellent , but the way that he applied them and the way that he works tells you that he s not such a professional shoemaker... pretty poor skills

Hi how did the technique work on leather products?

You have to make them. :(
You can order them in certain shoemaker boutiques. Most of shoe makers who do MTOs (Made To Order) will do it if you ask for it.
Is this acrylic paint or no
Hi please can you tell me which colour you use for patina is this acrylic
What is that white base in the shoes ??? I would like to paint my shoes... but they has a red color.. í would like to get that color

Great Video. Do you use any type of clear coating, finish, resolene, etc. after you paint the shoes?
I usually spray with Fiebings Leather Sheen, which is an acrylic, I believe. This keeps the colors from running.
CAN I TAKE THE COLOR OFF MY SHOES AND PAINT THEM AGAIN LIKE THIS?
You can strip color with acetone. No guarantee how well that will work though.
Этот крем Сапфир не для глассажа, есть другой из серии MEDAILLE D`OR, а этот крем - обычны питательный для повседневного любительского пользования
great job
Use camical name all tell me
Is that really a patina? You painted the shoes, instead of giving it a patina
From what I've seen, that's how patina is done. However, I'm no expert.
You may be right. I thought patina developed naturally. But this is a patina-like effect
Patina is developed in time you can say its like oxidation, but you can give a patina effect by painting specific point on the shoe, bag, etc...
