      I love them too! Super comfortable, stretchy, and pretty tough. I started wearing the Wrangler Outdoor Series pants as soon as they started showing up at Wal-Mart several years ago. I've gotten 5 or 6 pairs in different styles and colors. I actually went through a motorcycle wreck in the exact ones you are wearing and though they are pretty tough, they didn't like that too much! I had to retire that pair! I even have one of those Athletic shirts too, in black. Except I melted a couple of small holes in it while welding one day so now it's one of my work in the yard shirts. 😂😂😂

    Good to see all you carry for a day hike. In lieu of hand sanitizer, since I don't like to use most of them (unless they're natural), I use soap leaves. It's a really good option for those who want to save ounces. Also, have you tried a portable bidet? I haven't, but have heard they're really good in lieu of bringing TP, or in addition to TP. Hikers and especially thru hikers have started using them. I need a bite & sting kit like you have!!

      Please do research these kits. As someone in the medical field, these are based on myths. Please stay safe. Watch other first aid videos on snake bite first aid. Best thing to do is avoid getting bitten, but if you do , try to identify the snake, and get help immediately.

    I know mom sent the snake extractor but I wouldn’t waste time using that. Those kits have been proven not to work at all. Better to get yourself back to the car or use the SOS. About fire starting the dryer lent works great it works even more great if you dip it in a little petroleum jelly. I usually keep a few clumps in a zip lock in the same pocket as my Mylar emergency blanket and my fire steel. The petroleum jelly lights immediately and doesn’t blow out.

  • @martharunstheworld
    @martharunstheworld 3 роки тому

    Most of the gear is good, but that first aid kit can be reduced a lot to help reduce the weight. Use the Sawyer and get rid of the lifestraw. the Sawyer is so much easier to use than bending down to suck up water from a stream. You don't need both! I like your videos, but there's a little overkill. But hey, maybe carrying extra weight will give folks a little but of a workout. ;)

    So Chris!! I have another pack that I got in addition to all the packs and the newest addition to the packs is named Colby. So now I have from smallest to largest in order. Haley, she is the hydration water backpack then I have Colby who is the newest pack, then I have Jessica, Serena, Jasmine Brooklyn, and Bailey, then the 2 largest backpacking packs. Mya and Mariah. Mariah is the largest one. Then going away from the packs getting to my briefcases they are Marina, she is my carrying shoulder brief case. And then I have my commuter brief case and she is a rolling one. Her name is Maddy like the girl Maddy. Bailey has been taking a vacation ever sense the pandemic. Now that I have been getting back to work Maddy has been taking over. She hauls my files and coffee mug that is 32 ounces along with a stainless steal water bottle. She even has a hook up for my phone charger. Colby though she is a smaller pack she does have a port to charge my phone. Out of the packs the girls who can charge my phone are Colby Serena, and Brooklyn.
