uniqlo > h&m
obviously
Agree. No lies detected.
Easily
Agreed, and it has more of a unique aesthetic to their clothes
H&M has lower quality 99% of the time compared to Uniqlo, but H&M has better collaborations with designers and more interesting designs.
As a university student, they are staples to my wardrobe. They are affordable yet don't lose their structure unlike other brands
how do they fit on your body?
did u graduate from university ? random question
Almost all of my office clothes are uniqlo, because...
1. Affordable (price to quality ratio)
2. Very Comfortable
3. Clothing Technology
4. Wide and very organized stores.
5. I can also easily find sizes that are smaller than SM for more fitted look.
Easily my favorite brand for basics without killin the wallet
their winter heattech are awesome
Surely killing people though
Such a great brand for essentials
But how did Uniqlo manage to make high quality clothes during a depression and sell it for a decent price?
Elizabeth Qauc they minimized the profit
It was outsourced to China but the company's quality control was superb
They don't lol,it's funny how people believe uniqlo makes quality clothes just bc the brand was started in Japan ,my parents own a clothing store and they know a thing or two about clothing material, I once took them to uniqlo to shop and they hated the quality ,basically the only good thing about this brand is the simple design and the price
Connie Lee Connie Lee there is higher quality clothing out there. But you have to take cost into consideration. If you look at uniqlo's competitors they are making clothes with extremely poor quality for what is usually a much higher price.
Connie Lee you're not wrong, but that's why they specialize in basics.
Love uniqlo, but I shop there too often that about 1/3 of my wardrobe is uniqlo. :P
Lauren Nacuers same !! From top to bottom 😆
I live in cali and I've actually shopped from uniqlo a lot. They have pretty good clothes actually.
Same, I didn't realize that Uniqlo doesn't exist in the US outside of California. Uniqlo has so many solid basics
Jordan Shen it exists in Massachusetts lol
Ah ok, but just very few stores in general outside of California.
W L I only seen one Uniqlo in Cali my whole life but I really liked the store. Brought some shorts there
They just opened in Barcelona, where I live 👌👌
uniqlo is great imo
No shit it is! I just love their T-shirts
Im from Malaysia and a muslim myself. UNIQLO offers lots modestly and simplistic attire that are perfect for college dress code. Most of their material are friendly with the hot weather here. UNIQLO's Hana Tajima line also offers variety of scarfs and dresses which cant be find in any retail stores for muslims
THE HANA TAJIMA LINE IS MY LIFEEEE
Pernection Hana Tajima is a muslim btw. It depends on your personal taste. Other girls might go for peplums and dresses. I am a person who prefer wearing comfy clothes to classes. So, UNICLO is perfect for me.
milk maniac wait college dress code? Oo wow
Malaysian and yeahh almost all of my daily wear is Uniqlo
milk maniac back in my varsity days, I love them. Alot! Though my wallet won't allow me to do so..
Thank god, I'm now working on my own. Half my clothing shelf populated with these all Unique Clothes.
had no idea that Uniqlo is still a mystery in the US. It's in every mall in Asia! lol. I did see Uniqlo in NYC last Spring so I thought it was pretty common.
Joseph Daniel Batino not in vietnam, and I’m dying for it. Always go and get some new clothes whenever traveling to thailand though lol
There are too many uni qlo stores, lol. Literally every mall outside my house has a uni qlo in less than 100 metres from each other
I live in Maryland and was in love with uniqlo when it was only accessible by shopping in NYC (not even online) few years ago.. now that's it's expanded, it's losing appeal for me but the basic garments are always cool
+Marshall Alexander where the fuck in texas?!
Coming to India soon. The competition is really heating up now in the retail space, H&M, GAP have landed and major acquisitions in the online retail space.
I am at all times wearing something from Uniqlo. Ever since I got my black jeans from them, I've worn them more than my black leggings. Their heattech line is unreal, super thin and extremely warm. I have four different patterns of their lounge pants that I have done everything in them from sleeping because they are so comfortable to going out because they are an amazing cut. Last Christmas my mom and I did all of our gift shopping in one trip to a random Uniqlo in New Jersey because even their smaller locations are well-stocked.
Heat tech is my saviour in winter :) but seriously, uniqlo is kind of my uniform
co0kii unfortunately, airism doesn't help in hot weather
Is the heat tech really working? I was hesitating wether to buy those
@@hukihuki4135 Heattech works. There's ultra warm Heattech too for even colder weather. provided that you use Heattech as a base layer, I was fine with it when I went to Tokyo during the winter.
@@28empoleon thanks :)
I work at UniQlo in New York and it’s pretty cool how there’s no tax on items you need, like a shirt. UniQlo only has tax on items you want like stylish glasses.
I went to the flagship store in Berlin Germany and was excited by the way they advertise in their store window. I had to go into the store. And bought some cheap but high quality chinos and a shirt. UNI QLO is a great way to shop classy but cheap😄
Uniqlo is dope cause they hem your pants/jeans at no extra cost
Mark Santos True, Speaking from experience.
How did I only just find your channel?! Awesome content...learned so much about Uniqlo 👌🏼
I've been a Uniqlo buyer for 6 years now and they still are the best overall in terms of price, style, and quality (and they fit me nicely as well). They pretty much filled my wardrobe during my college years; also felt it was hilarious at the time when my friends preferred H&M over Uniqlo Lol !
How i wish the West and other countries would learn a thing or two about quality control from Japan. Japanese products, be they cars, clothes, electronics are all renowned for their reliability simply because of their superior quality control process.
I discovered uniqlo seven years ago during my first trip to Japan. From this day until now, I wear at least one uniqlo piece of clothing every day. It has become my favorite shop ever, allowing me to reflect my true personal stye. It is an obsession for me and my entier family, we live, eat, breath uniqlo.
Uniqlo is the epitome of quality basics that fit well. I mess with higher end brands but for things like casual button ups and underwear, Uniqlo is my goto.
Despite Uniqlo being a fast fashion brand in the same league as H&M, Uniqlo's balance of quality and price puts H&M and other fast fashion brands to shame, I'm looking at you Abercrombie & Fitch, price wise and quality wise.
I bought 6 Uniqlo Oxford shirts in every color, all for $20 each. I can tell they didn't skimped on quality, because the fabric is 100% cotton. Ralph Lauren, a brand I also adore except their prices, could easily sell the same Oxford shirt for 4x the price of Uniqlo.
Most of my clothes now come from uniqlo.
Me too, my clothes are all similar, except for colours
Ever since I discovered Uniqlo in Toronto, I dont even bat an eye at H&M and other fast fashion stores. The quality of their basic shirts are great for wearing when you have to choose something quick and I'm a big fan of the trousers for semi formal events and on the daily. HeatTech is great for the cold winters as well. This and Muji make for great essentials stores
Stay playing those Nujabes beats in the background! Love the videos man, great content!
When I went to Japan I went to the massive Uniqlo store on the Ginza, it was crazy
I went to that one as well. I still have clothes I bought from there.
Uniqlo closed two stores in Philadelphia only one is left.
Notification squad reporting in, bless your souls for dropping another video
Uniqlo is my favorite brand when it comes to clothing. It’s very affordable and the quality is really good, I love their minimal design and their UT collaborations.
I love segmenting my outfits in different color blocks and Uniqlo's sweaters, dress pants and linen shirts are perfect for the job. When you get a full Uniqlo outfit, the plainness, vividity (for some reason, the colors of my Uniqlo sweaters and t-shirts look so much more alive than my H&M's) and the abrupt transition of colors (between your top and bottom, T-shirts and linen shirts...), you'll really notice how sleek and nice you'll look.
Uniqlo's clothes are simple yet stylish! The quality is good too! I love Uniqlo! Philippines loves Uniqlo!
: Uniqlo has perfected the combo of quality and affordability without compromising what makes good clothing look and feel special. That is hard to beat, which is why it is beloved by many.
I never though much on it, but now that you mentioned it, the overall shopping experience is awesome. First time I entered a shop, I see all those walls of jumpers arranged by color, it just looks nice and they have so much choice, not only color, but types and fabrics. But mostly, their clothes are really "simple" or look simple and that's why I like it.
Uniqlo is great! My first item from there was a kaws collab shirt from a year or 2 ago and it is actually really good quality for the price! They opened a few stores in Canada, they are a lot more nice and organized than the other department stores here.
Definitely spend too much time there now that they're in Canada
uniqlo is one amazing place to shop.. i really love how organized it is and the way the shirts feel is amazing!!!!! one great store to shop at
Love the research you put into this. Awesome!
Hello from Jakarta,Indonesia . Where currently retail dominated by Uniqlo & H&M. We do have sneaker con every weekend at different malls these days. Some import the stuff from Japan as well
I first went to Uniqlo in Chicago, but the first time I purchased something from them was at their Leicester location in London. I love their minimal aesthetic and focus on good basics. The blackwatch plaid flannel I bought from them is my favorite button-up that I own.
love the quality of the clothes! i still get to wear the chino shorts i bought in 2013. staff are super helpful especially when you’re fitting clothes and need assistance.
You could also make a vid on Muji
Oliver Yes!
damn these are some great informative videos bro, keep it up
I LOVE Uniqlo!! The quality of the clothes is amazing. The styles are so basic and effortless that you know they will still be in fashion in 2+ years. Ever since the store opened in my town ive only be shopping there. It's great because when they collaborate with other designers you are able to get "in style trends" that still have the timeless Uniqlo feel to them.
I remember when I applied to work as a customer sales representative there. The interview was like a rigid group selection process that I could only imagine was the norm in Japan, but it was new to me. During that process I realized they took the retail beyond too serious and thought it must be hell to work there.
I have and love their heat insulating tops! Shopped a bit here before went to Europe for a very cold autumn.
Ah Uniqlo. One of the best. Especially the collaborations from, JW Anderson, Verdy, Pharrell, Marimekko, Engineered Garments, Kaws, Futura, Murakami, just to name some.
In Indonesia, Uniqlo is probably my favorite outlet. Why? its competitively price, its great quality even after multiple wash, it doesnt follow trend so style are very casual and simple. Its those outlet that doesnt encourage you to buy uneccesary clothing. T shirt, jeans, shorts, most of their piece goes with every other outfit. I could wear their business pants with a simple tshirt its till looks great.
WELCOME TO UNIQLO!!
Came to this video because I have a Uniqlo coming to my local mall and a group interview for it this saturday, let's hope I get the job! I have one of the shirts from the Kaws X Sesame Street collection and it's great.
when people ask me how I wear a black turtleneck in summer, my answer is AIRism hahahah
Never been to one of their stores until last week in London, hadn't even heard of them. Saw all their Streetfighter tees in the window and had to investigate. It was fantastic. Managed to buy the most comfortable pants I've ever purchased along with a super comfy tee. Pretty cheap for the quality, I'm overly impressed!!!! Will be shopping here for clothes from now on.
I bought a shirt from uniqlo and I'm still so shook over a year later how opaque yet stretchy and never fading it is
A couple of years ago we were in NYC and found the store at 5th av, went in with no idea of what it was and were happily surprised to see that the clothing was affordable and had a nice clean look to it, after having it for years I can attest to their quality.
One thing i like about uniqlo is the staff. In Singapore, the staff are trained to say "Welcome to uniqlo" in a considerably high pitch. This makes the customer feel welcome and more obliged to spend money in such a friendly environment.
I remember only going to the only SoHo store from train when it first came and telling people they should go shop there. Fast forward til now and there's a few of them within 15 mins from my house. I enjoy there clothes and I'm glad they've expanded so much in the US.
Uniqlo is great! One of my fav stores and I shop there every time I go to Asia. I'm so happy they're finally opening a store in Vancouver next month!
reggggggg a nice friday night video to melt tooooo right on my swag sensei
UniQlo has just opened at Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre Qld Australia. I went there today and was amazed. The store was so clean looking and organized but the best bit is that the clothes are great quality at a reasonable price. Will go back again.
hahaha Im a former employee of UNIQLO... it was very hard...
Yran Yu is it hard working in a clothing store?
They have very strict standards and you have to fold clothes their way and do it very fast.
It's Really tough when you are in Retail, I myself work at Lacoste and the struggle though.
So true! Uniqlo is so different compared to other retailers in the US (where I work) it is much harder because their standards are insanely high but I also feel like that makes it a better place to work than other retail companies
WoW, folding clothes...so fucking hard!
lowkey nujabes in the background lol
Limun always love to be surprised by his works while exploring videos
Nice talk, easy to understand :)
Boy. The Uniqlo in Paris (the photo you put in the video) is really nice. It is in an old Parisian factory with many interesting design elements like old machines, sofas and even a video explaining the background of the place. As for the clothes, there are separated environments for the jeans and the t-shirts with their own ambiance. Pretty cool.
Literally just came across from you and you already got me subscribing
been to their store in ginza, amazing.
my ex bf is japanese and he was shocked to see uniqlo in philly and nyc. (he's not from america.) i didnt even know what it was.. so we shopped in there and i was impressed. i immediately noticed the quality in the clothing and store. definitely plan to shop there more in the future but IT IS PRICEY! very pricey but its worth it i think.
$15 shirts, and $30 jeans????
The only thing that I think is borderline pricey is the active wear jackets. The basics are super affordable with above average quality.
The uniqlo in philly is great because across the street from it is a thrift shop called buffalo exchange
most of the stuff in buffalo exchange comes from uniqlo / forever 21 / h&m and are very high quality because those are the stores that surround the thrift shop
And the prices are super cheap for some really nice clothing (some of which hasn’t even been worn)
Its more expensive in the US. I'm from hk its really cheap
I thought the point of Uniqlo was that it was priced decently. the only expensive items I see there are... no, I think they're all pretty fairly priced
I think it depends on where you live. I went to the uniqlo in australia and the price is about $10 more expensive than in indonesia
the first time i went to the 34th st uniqlo a few years back, i was so struck by how the clothes were organized by color in these tall beautifully neat stacks. now it's just a free-for-all lol
I like the shopping experience in uniqlo, it became my clothing shopping first choice, the display, easy to find what I need, price and the quality, the design not that fancy but definitely able to find the matching top and bottom. I walk in and able to grab a few piece that suit my style. But I can't choose much at other shops.
The shirt I was wearing on my profile picture is from uniqlo, it’s 5 years old and I’m still wearing it every week. Still good, great quality, bought when it was on discount, omg i need more uniqlo!!
I have shopped twice and always looking to go back. I love the quality of products, pricing is not cheap but worth it as it lasts that long. Great store for basics :)
I live in Japan and this is easily my favorite store for clothing. I went to the US and I was surprised to see that the prices were higher than in Japan on some things.
I'm in Malaysia and uniqlo outlets are in all major shopping malls. Quality and style is better than H&M for sure but SPAO from korea is looking like a serious competitor though.
new to this channel. Straight away im thinking "WTF is...."from the cynicalbrit gaming channel. Fantastic informative video, been shopping uniqlo for over 8 years now and never knew it was originally "unique clothing"!
Thanks mate, got a job interview with them tomorrow. This has helped!
i've bought a jacket on uniqlo store in KL few years back & the fabric is still nice as of this day
Live in Cali and shop at Uniqlo pretty often. Pretty much the best basics store out there, love them!
Love Uniqlo. Used to buy a lot of basics from them in France. I am actually wearing a Cashmere V neck sweater and underpants from Uniqlo right now :)
I really like the quality of their products! I'm a uniqlo lover and I think I've found my brand and kept loving it sincd 2010.
We have an Uniqlo in the local mall here in L.A. I actually got some Uniqlo though from my mom when she went to Japan on vacation and thought I would like their stuff. I ended up buying a ton of their tee shirts and they fit me very well.
Just got one in Mcr, England. Finally!
I’ve gotten this JW Anderson colab puffer jacket I like pretty well I got the plaid color way. I also got a pair of jeans from that same line.
Ive also gotten some shirts their including the artist colabs ones like Keith, Jean, and, Andy.
I think I have a pair of socks too.
I'm from the Philippines, it was amazing. Very easy to find what you want and most importantly the quality of the their clothing is a bang for the buck. Very nice employees too!
I wish there was a Uniqlo in Mexico City. There are a lot of people that know about the brand, really want to buy it, but can't. It can also be a competitor to H&M which is proving very popular. Also, Mexico City culture is heavily influenced by Japan, so that gives it bonus points! Please Unilqlo, go to Mexico you'll enjoy it!!!
Uniqlo connected to DSM ginza was a great stop on my trip
I see Uniqlo by the Water Tower in Chicago but I never went in there 😂 I might have to check it out
I just got a job at uniqlo yesterday, i have my induction on wednesday 😊
I'll have to peep it out someday got one in my city
I interpret Uniqlo as Unique and Low (key) after I become a big fan and almost want to wear no other brands except Uniplo don't offer. Their clothes are modest, humble, low key, yet high quality with modern look. Unlike other brand names, they don't even need their logo on a noticeable place on their products to make their name big. Seriously, their products speak for themselves. Big thump up!
I have one of the Basquiat shirts as well as one of the MOMA edition Sam Francis T-shirts.
Great video man. Loving UNIQLO!
There is a Uniqlo in the mall where I live. I've only bought 3 items from there. But I'm actually in the process of getting a job there. So I'm excited. I really like simple clothing styles so there are a lot of pieces at Uniqlo that I've been eyeing. So hopefully I'll be getting the job, money, and discount to shop there.
I like Uniqlo. I usually buy very high end clothes. Yesterday, I was wearing a brand new Dries Van Noten jacket. I walked into Sandro and bought a trench coat and a polo shirt. But then, I went to Uniqlo and found a really great graphic tee shirt for $3.99 clearance. A few weeks ago, I bought my first designer mash-up, a merino wool sweater that cost me 50 bucks. I'm very selective with Uniqlo: I'll do tee shirts and button downs.
I never shopped at an actual uniqlo store in america, i online shopped a couple times for graphics tees, their quality are incredible. However i went to multiple uniqlo stores when i was visiting china, chinese folks must love uniqlo, they have multiple uniqlo stores per city. And the stores are very clean and organised indeed.
I’m wearing a Uniqlo T-shirt right now that I bought in Disney Springs aka Downtown Disney last year (2021).
I love this brand after buying from stuff from their store in Malaysia.
uniqlo is fantastic, so glad they came to canada last year. their crewnecks and sweaters in particular are incredible for the price
I shopped at the flagship store in Ginza, gotta say I'm happy with everything I bought. Also, I don't remember spending all that much. Plus, it was duty free since I had my passport.
Nicely presented! Thankss
I really like their athletic sportwears as it is super affordable and the quality are much similar to the huge sports brand such as Adidas
The quality in their clothes are always really good and the designs are also quite unique
Visited the location at Disney Springs in Florida. Was floored at how busy they were. Their price points and quality are great. Got sweats for lounging around the house and a button up shirt for work. Might be the Asian influence, but their sizes run a tad small. That being said sample items are hanging out for trying on. I was impressed. Definitely superior to Old Navy.
Uniqlo is also in most malls in the Philippines. They are reasonably priced even to a normal Filipino. Their stores are huge and well organized and they always have sale items. I have started to buy their stuff and they make a lot of casual daily clothes.
