We basically never use the front trunk on our Model Y, I think in large part because it's not power. I suspect if it were we'd use it more.
This was an interesting video because I've got a Cybertruck reserved but have also recently been considering buying an R1T to replace my Honda Ridgeline. I think I like the R1T better than the Cybertruck, but I'm worried about Driver+ and the lack of lane centering as you mentioned. The Cybertruck doesn't have AP/FSD yet but it will eventually and it will be much better. I have lane centering right now on the Ridgeline and use it all day every day. Also the bed on the R1T is quite a lot smaller than the Ridgeline's. There's more storage with the front trunk and the gear tunnel but for large items it's definitely not as good as the Ridgeline, so that is a plus on the Cybertruck. I don't recall you specifically mentioning it but how was the ride vs the R1T since they're both on air suspension? We have a Model Y and it's like sitting on cinder blocks directly mounted to the wheels, absolutely horrendous ride quality. I've seen other people say the Cybertruck has the best ride of all the Teslas.

Ride honestly feels better on the Rivian but both are great with the air suspension

don't hold your breath and AP/FSD. It's very low priority for CT until there's enough of them sold. I'm guessing 3 years minimum.

I use the frunk of the cybertruck because there's a button on the car for easy opening without pulling my phone out. If they updated the model y to open the frunk when I wave at it or something, then I'd use it a lot more.

I think the CT has a lot of good points but the single giant wiper is not one of them - manufacturers have been concleaing the blades below the hood / bonnet for decades so there is no need for this in an attempt to avoid wind resistance.

I'm surprised you were allowed to park the CT so close to the trees. Birds could have been lurking and destroyed the bodywork. That wrapped Rivian though... gorgeous.
