    It's crazy to think that this was videotaped even before Ren & Stimpy was airing on Nickelodeon.

      Nicktoons began airing on August 11, 1991, nearly a year later.

    I saw a Family Double Dare shirt and a chicken suit from Think Fast in the props room! Also, those signs for the shows at around the 6 minute mark are must haves.

    this is so sad! I remember at Universal I always wanted to go to the Nickelodeon Studios but my family said we would go the following year. Then when we came back... it closed. My luck lol.

    first off: the fact that the surveys are taken with touch screens IN THE 90s is super impressive. second off: with all the game shows coming back i could see them doing something like this again . more than likely in cali since they want to keep everything close by and because theyre unable to use this building. if i remember correctly Bally Sports bought the building recently.

    I reckoned this place to be like a wonderful, exotic adventure.. Heaven on Earth indeed. The game shows kept me company, as well as the memories of them and other footage I've seen regarding classic Nickelodeon, while I haven't gone here in-person, unfortunately-_-

  • @LadyEE83

    I loved that she chose games shows as her favorite type of show. i wish Nickelodeon today would realize that the games shows are what helped push Nickelodeon into the station it became in addition to the NickToons and Live shows. They need to get back into the game show portion of the studio, but they would have to reopen to studio to do that. They need a live audience for the game shows.

    I hardly remember going to Universal Studios when I was toddler (I only remember going there when I was eight) but I think I might've went to an attraction like this when I was a toddler. I think that's where I probably saw a basket of old 90s Nick Jr VHS tapes or something like that, but I don't know, though.

    Shame that this is no longer there anymore. The building is such a joke now. Everything painted over and gone. I wish nick could take this building back. Sinxe universal DOES have Nickelodeon characters at their park but Nickelodeon now is garbage. So it'll never be the same i guarantee.

    • @datguyyo
      @datguyyo  6 років тому +1

      I mean, it had been long time coming. They were not making as many shows as they once were. They were barely doing much with the building other than weekday blocks like Slime Time Live and Splat. Unfortunately, Nick could not keep the studio going much longer, so they had to shut it down.

  • @Striljr

    • @datguyyo
      @datguyyo  6 років тому +1

      Yes, they have replaced the space that was once occupied by Nickelodeon, but it was not their intention to have it be replaced. When Nickelodeon shut its doors, no one knew what would sit in its place. The decision to have Blue Man Group take over the building was decided long after it closed.
