I think I remember watching your channel before!! You made muppets out of felt and created music videos with them, including "Sam And Friends" (love that show still)!! How's it going??:)
I saw a Family Double Dare shirt and a chicken suit from Think Fast in the props room! Also, those signs for the shows at around the 6 minute mark are must haves.
this is so sad! I remember at Universal I always wanted to go to the Nickelodeon Studios but my family said we would go the following year. Then when we came back... it closed. My luck lol.
first off: the fact that the surveys are taken with touch screens IN THE 90s is super impressive. second off: with all the game shows coming back i could see them doing something like this again . more than likely in cali since they want to keep everything close by and because theyre unable to use this building. if i remember correctly Bally Sports bought the building recently.
datguyyo amazing video its so great how they auditioned normal kids for there shows nowadays they want kids with acting experience straight out of hollywood !!!
I reckoned this place to be like a wonderful, exotic adventure.. Heaven on Earth indeed. The game shows kept me company, as well as the memories of them and other footage I've seen regarding classic Nickelodeon, while I haven't gone here in-person, unfortunately-_-
I loved that she chose games shows as her favorite type of show. i wish Nickelodeon today would realize that the games shows are what helped push Nickelodeon into the station it became in addition to the NickToons and Live shows. They need to get back into the game show portion of the studio, but they would have to reopen to studio to do that. They need a live audience for the game shows.
I never really gotten a chance to see what was inside of that place, since I always see it on the outside at the end of each classic live-action show that Nick produced back then as a kid until now.
Visited a year later and I'm 90% sure I was watching Clarissa filming in her bedroom but I was only 8 and girls weren't interesting! A few years later I realised she was actually quite attractive 😂
I hardly remember going to Universal Studios when I was toddler (I only remember going there when I was eight) but I think I might've went to an attraction like this when I was a toddler. I think that's where I probably saw a basket of old 90s Nick Jr VHS tapes or something like that, but I don't know, though.
I knew I wasn’t making this up in my mind! I was born in 93 and the one set I remember was the front yard of Gullah Gullah Island. Thanks for the nostalgia! Also, the captions seem to be a little off 😂
I wondered if that some of the amazing teen actors from Clarissa Explanes it All, Gullah Gullah Island, and All That remember coming through that big Nickelodeon sign.
If I get a time machine, I'm going to go back and take this tour a few times with a HD GoPro camera so I can make a proper video, spliced with the monitor videos Nick released.
That90sNolstalga I know it was possible but that it was in use in real life not just in a movie I mean they had touch screen in star trek too but to see it i used for practical means is cool and used by the public
I think that lobby area at the end might be the current entrance area for the Blue Man Group theater, where they sell popcorn and have the photo op after the show
YujiUedaFan Yeah, that people are making attempts to enter, that holds secrets, and is left abandoned. More like a "danger-keep out"-kind of attraction now.
I think this is from 1991 as the slime geyser was not yet painted green until around Christmas time of '90, but that's just a theory. And the slime geyser wasn't unveiled until October
Shame that this is no longer there anymore. The building is such a joke now. Everything painted over and gone. I wish nick could take this building back. Sinxe universal DOES have Nickelodeon characters at their park but Nickelodeon now is garbage. So it'll never be the same i guarantee.
I mean, it had been long time coming. They were not making as many shows as they once were. They were barely doing much with the building other than weekday blocks like Slime Time Live and Splat. Unfortunately, Nick could not keep the studio going much longer, so they had to shut it down.
Yes, they have replaced the space that was once occupied by Nickelodeon, but it was not their intention to have it be replaced. When Nickelodeon shut its doors, no one knew what would sit in its place. The decision to have Blue Man Group take over the building was decided long after it closed.
1990-2005, was a great era for kids for sure
+Hey Swanky Also 2006-2011.
Or the times when Nickelodeon had the original logo not the rubbish new logo today
Not all of them.
Go ask Kate and Jean about their experiences
It's crazy to think that this was videotaped even before Ren & Stimpy was airing on Nickelodeon.
Nicktoons began airing on August 11, 1991, nearly a year later.
I came here back in 1997 where they were filmong Kenan and kel, I saw them in person playing basketball. Great memories
Yessir I saw them in person too , They were doing show rehearsals
Thank you so much for this amazing footage! Very difficult to find good studio tour footage!
I think I remember watching your channel before!! You made muppets out of felt and created music videos with them, including "Sam And Friends" (love that show still)!! How's it going??:)
Ricci Puppets right .
Nick was a huge part of my childhood.....
I just love the old camera footage to fit with the old 90's area love it miss old Nick :(
I didn't even know Nickelodeon Studios had touch screen machines.
Had no idea they had working touch screens back then lol
That's crazy touch screen in 90 and color
There were touch screens in cars as far back as the 80's. Amazing
+deftone4u wow that's suprizing you would think the 2000s where the first decade of the screens
Wow this footage is so rare and amazing to see. Brings back memories of my family trips as a kid
Went here a few times as a kid . Seeing that nick splat sign up close assured me I’d be a big star one day .
I saw a Family Double Dare shirt and a chicken suit from Think Fast in the props room! Also, those signs for the shows at around the 6 minute mark are must haves.
+ASilva528 so THAT's where the chicken suit was from!
Wheeloffortunefan999 It was used in the Locker Room.
ASilva528 and three card chicken where you have to find a hard boiled eg among three eggs
1:13 Pretty soon that portion would be given a Nick Jr. theme, and Face would greet the visitors with his trademark (Hi there! Face here!”

OMFG thank you for uploading this!!!
Fun Fact: R.L. Stein, author of the popular Goosebumps book series, was the executive producer for Eureka's Castle.

Well, they did bring back Double Dare, so thank God for some miracles, huh?
90s throw back now just remember it we went to the show
This place was my dream I wish I can go visit there but I was few days old when they closed it down because I love Nickelodeon
I never really gotten a chance to see what was inside of that place, since I always see it on the outside at the end of each classic live-action show that Nick produced back then as a kid until now.

September 1990??? That’s a year before Nickelodeon even became legendary for their iconic shows!
Nickelodeon used to air sitcoms/gameshows when this tape was recorded

This video is a time capsule
Keep in mind that when 2042 comes, they're gonna have to come back to their own abandoned studio just to get the time capsule back up!
I wondered if that some of the amazing teen actors from Clarissa Explanes it All, Gullah Gullah Island, and All That remember coming through that big Nickelodeon sign.

This was before 1991, the year Nickelodeon went on the map.
cool to see that there was touch screen technology in 1990
loganbaileysfunwithtrains Lol Watch Die Hard when he goes in the Nakatomi Towers at the beggining
That90sNolstalga I know it was possible but that it was in use in real life not just in a movie I mean they had touch screen in star trek too but to see it i used for practical means is cool and used by the public
Wow this was before the nicktoons even existed 😮
I think that lobby area at the end might be the current entrance area for the Blue Man Group theater, where they sell popcorn and have the photo op after the show
Nickelodeon had the best shows
Filming Outta Here.
Amazing
I wish it was still there
0:51 The escalator before it was the Wild Thorberrys themed
Has anyone realized how much lost media could still be inside Nick studios gathering up dust?
Yes. We should plan to go get it
is that a pizza hut logo i see @ 5:01?
yes
I went to the studio once and I thought I was imagining the place being dark.
The quirkiness and largeness of it all gives the sort of feel like it's a haunted house^^;
Nicoletta Bates
Hmm... never thought of that before.
+YujiUedaFan It truly stands out like that from the rides at USF, but certainly in a good way^^;
Nicoletta Bates
But now it kind of IS a haunted house!
YujiUedaFan Yeah, that people are making attempts to enter, that holds secrets, and is left abandoned. More like a "danger-keep out"-kind of attraction now.
I’m italian but i know all the history of nickelodeon and i love it
I think this is from 1991 as the slime geyser was not yet painted green until around Christmas time of '90, but that's just a theory. And the slime geyser wasn't unveiled until October
"'A brand new word: 'Cool!'"
I went on this tour as a kid. It was definitely when Universal Studios was really fun... now it's just blah
I miss my childhood 💃👶
YES!
so what show was being filmed in stage 19?
Is that Marc Summers?
Where did you find this tape?
Someone's upload.
It gonna sound cheesee I but I saw The show when I was little

3 blue man group members must have disliked this video. nice try but youre no replacement for this studio. it held a place in our hearts forever.

@@datguyyo i know. It's still sad this place closed. It was my childhood.
