Coach Prime was traveling around the country with his Truth youth football and camps 1500 kids strong.
Yup he said he had 2 teams at every age up to 12s. Crazy.
Many of those same kids are in high school or in college now and they want to play for coach Prime.

It’s true that Coach Prime has shortcomings on the D & O line, at Colorado, he’s still shaping & molding this team, it’s work in progress….his past success followed him & Rick George rolled the dice, he did not crap out, he rolled them & hit a $200M to a possible $800M bonanza in Coach Prime. So we are at the 6th game at 4-2, if they can go 4-2 the rest of the way, this will be mind blowing! He can only build upon this with 6 to 9 big bodies. He will need like 8 or 300-375 pound linemen on Defense & offense. They need to be 6’2” to 6’9”….still it’ll be great to see this program grow

It's FCS, formerly known as Division 1-AA. But you are correct, it's division 1, technically. Practically, though, it's a lower division.

For clarification JSU is a d1 school they just are in a much smaller division compared to most of the big schools in that region who are in the SEC, the difference is Colorado is a power 5 school (bigger conference) so the talent and national interest is different
Also, you literally take your life into your hands any time you go within 5 miles of the campus. And that's just the truth. And yes, I'm a resident of the Metro Jxn area.
@user-zu6ew7sz2b yea plus I heard that shilo as well as coach prime got shit stolen from them on at least a couple occasions. While Deion even had a dispute between him and the university to where they didn't hold up their end of the bargain in terms of revenue and ticket sales and he thinks they stole from him in that sense.
The goal is all the same, a championship at whatever level. How many crimes do the big schools cover up? rape, theft etc? A lot!!! and I haven't seen a mass shooting at a HBCU yet, let's just hope Colorado do right by him for all he has done for CU, and yes I was a resident of a white college area!!!

Most likely tOSU will be coming to Eugene in 2024. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict they bring a lot more money to Eugene than Colorado will.

@@cacogenicist it's not the ticket sales. it's the entertainment and media machine that goes with the entire production. you have to think much larger. i'm not even talking about the team, i'm talking about the media. all the talking heads that are traveling to these games. what is the logistics required to get a show put up. equipment, hair and make up, wardrobe, press, information technology. you start to count up what it takes to "move" people, and all their assets from point a to point b. then you start to think about lodging. then you think about food. then you think about transportation. how does a locale handle this sudden rush of "hype"? this sudden need to support all these people. how fast can a hotel change over a room and get it ready for the next guest? how do you do this when the hotel is sold out and everyone is checking in and checking out nearly at the same time? just check airbnb and see what kind of rates are for the future games and hotel rates for the cities and surrounding cities. you best believe uber and lyft are already looking at their analytics to see how they can get in on the action because you know there's a truck ton of money to be made.
of course all this is just the stuff that's happening on the ground. we haven't even talked about what the commercial rates are going to be.
espn probably had no idea that the game was going to go double overtime and all those commercials that were airing near the end were probably bottom of the barrel of the rates that they sold thinking "just get anyone willing to pay" and yet they probably could have charged twice or three times the normal rate because we all know the numbers that game put up.
how many bars stayed open late just to keep showing the game and kept on selling alcohol and food?
once you really start to think about where and all any financial transaction can take place and will take place, it all adds up and the $25M that CU paid for Prime is nothing but a drop in the bucket compared to things that is doing.

Hey man JSU is in the SWAC which is a D1 conference in the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) just like Sacramento State. Also D1 football is broken into FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) and FCS (Football Championship Subdivision).

Dude, Jackson State as well as most HBCU's are Division 1AA football teams. It has been that way for more than 40 years. Some 1AA schools have moved to 1A, such as, Boise State and Louisiana Tech. Therebis not much difference between the to divisionsnexcept money and number of scholarships.
FCS isn’t division 2.
North Dakota st is a FCS school. They play Iowa
Jackson State isn’t Division 2. They’re Division 1. NCAA College football has two divisions in division 1. FBS And FCS. Division 2 is lower than the FCS. Get your facts right. Use google.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but how exactly is he changing the game? They only started 4 players from the previous season. He basically uses his star power to recruit top talent that’s eligible which is a huge incentive for those NIL deals.
Other college teams do not have that luxury because they don’t have Prime. That doesn’t change the college football game, it just changes whatever college Prime is coaching at and I’m sure his bank account skyrockets.
Don’t get me wrong, I think what he is doing is way different and it’s good TV. But I don’t see what the surprise is, if it were possible for Kyle Shannahan to take 90% of the 49ers roster (coaches and players) to the Cardinals and they start winning I don’t think we’d see everyone screaming “Oh my god! The Cardinals are the new IT” well no shit.

Coach P has such high expectations for his team. With high expectations, sometimes you get high disappointments which hurt like heck. You can see how much he wants this team to do better. Love coach P, he cares deeply. He is abusing his body (his health is not good) by working long hard hours....Had to sit at times during this game.....I dont understand why some are just not getting this, and doing better. Football has lots of basics, but we should be improving......Down the road, he will have all his guys......they will do better, I hope.....Win was very ugly vs a 1-5 team that played pretty darn good with a 3rd string qb.....Yikes....But, glad it wasnt a loss.....would have really been too hard to take. Coach makes me want to get out there....How can they not be motivated. Shilo had off day.....Cormani wears number 1. How did he get that????? Coach is giving him oopportunities to step it up, hard as he is young and this is all new....starting over at the bottom of the dog pile.
