Ace is correct, Peter Criss does have a great voice. Not just on "Beth", but his vocals on "Black Diamond", "Nothin to Lose", and "Hard Luck Woman" are fantastic.
ACE is so coooooooooool ! Enjoyed every bit of this interview. He is just GREAT ! Truthful, honest, humble. Is the troutplayer really human ??? AAWCK ! Long life to sp'ACE man😉😎😍😘
Ace has always been about enjoying himself , as a guitarist and as a person , he doesnt let peoples opinions ruin a good time. Sure he might be a little slower than he once was but hey he is almost 70 . Still he is one straight up dude and cool as hell , tells it like it is and has fun doing it . Thanks Ace its always a pleasure .
This is one of the best Ace interviews ever. "I've got a 163 I.Q". (Gets asked a question) "I've got brain damage" I don't mean to toot my own horn, it's just reality.
This was so cool and great to see the two main guitarists from two great Rock n Roll Bands just sharing their past memories and stories. Great Stuff! Covid stopped this show Cold plus Steve’s health scare. I hope he’s recovered and the Show comes back! Now would be the time. It’s one of the only shows that had so many Rock stars on regularly! Bring it Back, Steve! Please! 👏🏻😎
Ace was my childhood hero! KISS was it for me in the 70s. My parents got me everything KISS for Xmas every year - underwear, socks, etc.! If I knew all that shit would be worth a fortune today I'd never played with any of it. I still have some of it and a shit ton of other stuff. I have a huge KISS kollection!
Are there any moments where they are laughing at the same time? That way we can get Ace’s ‘Wah-ha-ha’ and Steve’s ‘Eeeh-he-he’ combined. That’s potentially far more dangerous to existence that any of CERN’s experiments.
Your so cute Ace. I just like how you are so laid back. I wish you wouldn't wear the glasses. Would like to see your eyes. My favorite person in a band is the drummer. But your guitar playing is awesome. I was wondering what did you think of Eddie VanHalen?
Funny, and I enjoy KISS, but I'm remembering the old Sex Pistols interview record called "Some Product: Carrion". Dunno if it's uploaded somewhere on YT. Anyway, Steve, Paul, and Sid are on a US radio show, and a caller asks how they like KISS. I think it was Paul who goes "they can kiss my ass", lol.
Paul has since admitted that he was just trying to keep up the punk image and that he was actually a big fan of groups like Boston and Journey at the time.
Absofuckinlutely!!!!! Here's why, Brian Johnson screeches and screams to a point where his voice is always on the verge of just shredding apart. Which is what a lot of great rock singers are supposed to do. BUT Bon Scott's voice comes from another planet.. He never seems to have to strain to get that sound, and he sings comfortably in his mid range. Not like Brian who's always at the edge of his range, and about to shred his vocal chords to pieces. Bon Scott was always a pleasure to listen to, but Brian was hard to listen to sometimes, though he was a cool guy and a great singer in his own right.
Oh lordy, Ace believes he has a 163 IQ (beyond genius... Einstein level), but he doesn't know that the average IQ is 100 (basic knowledge). Love Ace, but someone disillusion him of that one.
Ryan Weatherman........he is effected from decades of substance abuse....do the math. He is still with us as he would say "for the grace of God"....so enjoy instead of moaning.
First, I am a huge KISS fan. So...I can say this and not feel bad about it. All four of the original KISS lineup should have had squirrel makeup because all of them were the proverbial blind squirrels falling into a giant pile of nuts. I do not think that Ace nor Peter would have gone far on their work ethics...nor with the level of talent that they truly possess. KISS, as a whole, was basically a theatrical show with some decent rock music; it was their stagecraft and showmanship that made them a classic more than their actual music. Understand this: they have classic songs in their repertoire that I love, and I am blown away that a quartet of mediocre New York musicians became a legendary rock band. Coming from a musician, it really bothers me to see where musicians have all the capabilities of growing but squander it through drugs, drinking, or sheer recklessness. Yet they still act like they all should be regarded as if they are of godlike status. Go back and listen to any one of Gene Simmons' Vault videos (in the same terrible vein as Ace playing "Foxy Lady" here). If the original KISS members were not riding on their "legendary" status, you would have been paying thousands of dollars to have schmucks up on stage that could barely tune their guitars... This was supposed to be the added bonus? They'd need to pay me a couple grand just to sit there and listen to them, because I've heard kindergarten kids on recorders sound just as good. Again, this is coming from a huge KISS fan.
I find it hard to believe your a Kiss fan and that youve listened to ALL of their stuff. Have you listened to Rock N Rollover Album? Even non Kiss fans admit its a great rock n roll album of the 70s
Ace if your career is on the upswing, howsabout practicing a little bit? eh? You tout this rock n roll imperfect style....but its really just sloppy. How the F do you get through a studio session? I heard ALIVE! when I was 8 years old and hearing your work made me wanna play guitar.
I wonder if Kiss influenced Steve Jones’s Sex Pistols work, cause it’s pretty riff laden? And I’ve always questioned Ace’s statement regarding his iq; I mean, wouldn’t you think he’d be able to come up with better lyrics if he was a genius? And in parting, I always thought Paul Stanley’s solo Kiss album was the strongest.
Ace is correct, Peter Criss does have a great voice. Not just on "Beth", but his vocals on "Black Diamond", "Nothin to Lose", and "Hard Luck Woman" are fantastic.
Strange Ways, Mainline.
Absolutely,and Hooligan and Strange Ways.
HumGuitar I know right
Strange Ways kick ass song Ace solo is stunning.

ACE is so coooooooooool ! Enjoyed every bit of this interview. He is just GREAT ! Truthful, honest, humble. Is the troutplayer really human ??? AAWCK ! Long life to sp'ACE man😉😎😍😘
10:00 Ace is 100% right. He had the best solo album by far. Stone cold classic.
Ace was the coolest member of Kiss, always! His solo album was definitely the best.
I love to hear Ace laugh, I think kiss lost to much when they lost Ace he is my favorite

"I've got brain damage"
I don't mean to toot my own horn, it's just reality.
13:15 "Me, Paul, Peter and...myself..." Love Ace XD
I didnt even catch that lol
This was so cool and great to see the two main guitarists from two great Rock n Roll Bands just sharing their past memories and stories. Great Stuff!
Covid stopped this show Cold plus Steve’s health scare. I hope he’s recovered and the Show comes back! Now would be the time. It’s one of the only shows that had so many Rock stars on regularly!
Bring it Back, Steve! Please!

@@fragilefamilytree7611 I Do' Like Steve's warm Personality though,, He Did a Lot of 'Work' on Himself' With Help, to Get There though.

It allways ticks me off to hear Gene and Pual talk about Ace being drugged out. This guy has clearly got his shit together!
brandon hill they don’t do that anymore, haven’t in a few years, since they’ve been working with him again
Well, if ir was true, Ace always got it done right live. 100's of videos of KISS Ace always delivering the goods.

Jonesy and Ace, that was fun.
Great to see two of my guitar hero's shootin the shit together. They should write something together they get along great.
Ace’s solo album was leagues more successful than everyone else’s
When you are consistently kicked out of your band you’re forced to pursue a solo career
Some compression on the mic's please!
Are there any moments where they are laughing at the same time? That way we can get Ace’s ‘Wah-ha-ha’ and Steve’s ‘Eeeh-he-he’ combined. That’s potentially far more dangerous to existence that any of CERN’s experiments.
Im glad you worked with Gene
a trainwreck of an interview....but it made my day, boys 🎸🎸 never change 👍

Your so cute Ace. I just like how you are so laid back. I wish you wouldn't wear the glasses. Would like to see your eyes. My favorite person in a band is the drummer. But your guitar playing is awesome. I was wondering what did you think of Eddie VanHalen?
My kingdom for an Ace/Jonesy album!
When I was 14
Nice new "hair" ace!

Ace looks like he had his face melted off then stapled back together
...said the man who crushed his face into the vise
Ace ha ha ha. Jonesey he he he.
I am sure Ace wanted to talk about the song Beth
Shambolic interview.
A rare case of an Englishman talking more than an American. It's usually the other way around.
Rock n Rule Hall of Shame.
rock and roll hall of fake
ace and his wig

I live in L.A. and Ace is right the smog and air quality is absolutely terrible. He is also right about Bell Canyon. I know what he meant.

I believe everything I read online
im sitting hear eating my fray bentos steak kidney
I'll take Bon Scott any day of the week (sorry, Brian). \m/
Absofuckinlutely!!!!! Here's why, Brian Johnson screeches and screams to a point where his voice is always on the verge of just shredding apart. I love ace but kiss doing 4 part Harmony......um not that I ever heard. LOL
obviously Ace likes Bon Scott
Oh lordy, Ace believes he has a 163 IQ (beyond genius... Einstein level), but he doesn't know that the average IQ is 100 (basic knowledge). Love Ace, but someone disillusion him of that one.
Ace does have an IQ of 163...so does everyone on Jindrel!
You tell him Hadley said so.
If Ace ain't drinking anymore, his pain pills must be a killer buzz.
Ryan Weatherman........he is effected from decades of substance abuse....do the math. He is still with us as he would say "for the grace of God"....so enjoy instead of moaning.
He's always been pretty chill imo.
Ace on beared
