  • When Messiah cursed the fig tree, it withered. Why? What is the message contained in this miracle? How does the fig tree relate to moving a mountain in the sea with our faith?

Thank you everyone at 119 ministry. I am patiently waiting for part 2 of this teaching. I am going through a lot (but, I thank God) at present; need to improve my faith in God and my prayer life.

The story of the fig tree is interesting to me, personally, for some other reasons . In the Bible we are told the trees will clap their hands in heaven, and the mountains will burst forth into singing . Messiah talked to the fig tree, not about it. There is more to nonhuman life, and maybe inorganic matter, than we currently understand, I believe.

Great teaching. Was anticipating the Hebrew word for fruit and taking it back to Paleo. Peree.... פרי Pey = Mouth, Resh = Head, Yod = Hand.
In the heart of the word is the head, therefore what we think or is in our hearts is shown by what we say, and what we do.
Proverbs 23:7 NASB20 - For as he thinks within himself, so he is.
May HE bless us all with eyes that see, ears that hear, and hearts that understand.

One point I didn't hear addressed is that fig trees put out fruit before leaves; thus, it was not acting as it should. As News 24 states: "Fig tree's (sic) naturally grow fruit before the leaves open, so this tree in full leaf gave promise of well-developed fruit within it. But its appearance was deceptive. Upon searching its branches Jesus found "nothing but leaves." It was a mass of pretentious foliage, nothing more."

Mark 11:13 "He found nothing but leaves, FOR IT WAS NOT THE SEASON FOR FIGS." Living in an area flush with fig trees, surely He knew it was not the season for figs. Explain, please.

Rebecca Smith I believe He is sending a message to the people that they are supposed to bear fruit in season and out of season or as it says they will be cut off. He was using the fig tree as a visual demonstration. Got Torah Got Truth

Another way, using modern understanding, to explain what biblical "faith" is is "fidelity" or "allegiance" to The Word, and our "worship" (homage, obedience) is the fruit of our allegiance, fidelity or faith in YHWH and His Word, the Living Word: Yahshua. A god: EL is a mighty authority, a sovereign power, a law maker, a ruling judge, which of the "gods many" do we actually pledge our allegiance/fidelity (faith) and worship (pay homage and obey) with our actions (fruit)? Most so-called religious people have "blind faith", a superficial, vain and empty form of fidelity/allegiance, that is really no faith at all, but vain lip service, again we can know them by their fruit/actions.

Is there a study by 119 Ministries about the Holy Spirit or what Christian’s tagline “The Trinity”?

    • @119Ministries
      @119Ministries  2 роки тому +14

      Shalom,
Currently, 119 Ministries does not have a teaching on the subject of the Trinity available. We have spent years attempting to formulate an understandable conclusion and presentation on the subject, and while we have ideas of how the mechanics of it all works, we are not able to fully present on the subject just yet. Someday we do expect to release a series that is expected to be about 6-10 hours in length, but until we have a concrete position that is fully presentable and understandable, it will have to wait until then.
We take positions on matters and present them publicly once we have fully studied them out and can afford a testable public teaching on the matter. Unfortunately, in the “Hebrew Roots” doctrinal box, this subject is a mixed bag. It would not be fair to you or us to provide you a conclusion that we may not be able to fully back up in the scriptures. It is our goal to do that someday. We have ideas on the subject, but as teachers, we are held accountable to what we teach, and if we are going to be held accountable, then we need to be ready with a full presentation on any subject, especially controversial ones. Until then, it is premature, and we wish you the best in studying this subject out. We expect that such a response is understandable and can be respected.
May YHWH bless you and yours...

A child once explained the Trinity to me with this simple comparison: Water - In it's solid state (ice), God the Father... Liquid state, Yeshua His Son.....gas (water vapour), the Holy Spirit. It's always Water, just in different form. Needless to say, I was blown away.

@@ann-o-lene I like this analogy personally. We are told that Messiah is the radiance of Yahuah. Messiah did his miracles on Earth through the power of the Holy Spirit, and the power of Holy Spirit raised him to life in the tomb. To me the Almighty is sort of like the Sun. Yahushuah is like the light that comes from the Sun, the radiance. The holy spirit is like the power generated by the sun.

Here is ONE dimension of that prophetic fig tree: there are two fig trees in Biblical prophecy. The legit fig tree of Yah and the evil tree that is not truly of Yah. The latter one is the Idumean fig tree… the Pharisees, otherwise known as modern J*w*y. They were cut off back when Babylon captured Judea. Yah said He would cut them off FOREVER. Indeed, He did. Christ took the kingdom from them and gave to another. That “another” is decidedly America and the true believers thereof.
In the spiritual world, unlike the physical world, a good tree does not bear bad fruit. So any bad fruit, which is lack of obedience to Yah’s commands, is not of Yah.
Yeshua taught replacement theology. The bad fig tree was replaced. Ouch.
