One of the Greatest ever❤
No pedals just fingers and pinky volume control. ❤
Roy Buchanan music brings me to tears.
Saw Roy live a couple of times, what a great player...for those who know, know. One of the GOATS.
Great choice! Roy was considered the greatest unknown guitar player. So many request I'd love to make by him. Maybe a great next would be, "The Massiah Will Come Again." Nobody could make the guitar cry lake Roy and he certainly does on that one. Love your show. You guys are solfull awsome people!
Hi guys … I was lucky enough to see both Roy Buchanan and Rory Gallagher in the 1970’s …
Saw Roy but not Rory. Roy was fabulous. Saw him in Chicago.
Saw Roy missed Rory. Saw Johnny and Alvin
@@bruceware8779 I did see them. Both were great concerts
Thanks guys. Roy was amazing ! More please. He also wrote the Messiah, which Gary Moore covered. He's so good. Thank you. Until next time stay well and poppin for fresh
Great choice. One of the best blues guitarists in the world
Oh my. Saw him here in Austin back in 1974. Mesmerizing
all the 60s masters came to catch Roy live ,, he did it all well before most ,, ,, was a young robbie robertson mentor too ,,
Jeff Beck's studio version of Cause We've Ended as Lovers is dedicated to Roy Buchanan. A master recognizing another master. Sadly both gone now.
Check out Heat of the Battle, Roy on guitar, Stanley Clarke on bass. Outrageous!
Saw him in the 80's and he knocked my socks off. Didn't even know who he was and he stole the show from the headliner.
Roy was a troubled man. He spoke volumes with his guitar.
He came to a very sad end.
Saw him right before he died
Roy is top 3 best guitarists in my book....the most underrated guitarist ever!
Definitely one of Gary Moore's influences.
Read his bio....he did things on the guitar before Hendrix ran with it.
👍Yes ,Roy Buchanan, really one of the great guitar players.Didn't knew this version ,i only know the live version from "live stock",wich is a great album.😉
(Warning,he always uses a high pitched sound so ,be carefull with headphones and volume)😆
I've seen Roy several times - great live and studio performer. Talked with him a couple times ... his guitar's name is Nancy. Dominika is spot on - he was a troubled man ... Artists often suffer from this.
seen him in NZ in '86 .. he died in jail cell , hung , in think was .. '88 .. been listening to him since mid 70's .. mind blowing ,, listen to ,, '76 austin city limits session ,, think about 35 minutes best you will hear ,,,
FIVE STRING BLUES, CHICAGO SMOKESHOP, COUNTRY BOY, GOOSE GREASE, THAT DID IT.
Five string blues will have you grab a box of tissues for the guitar....poor thing is literally crying.
@@PainInTheS Nobody can make you feel like Roy makes you feel it.
@@JAMESMOORE-gq4vv He was a titan! I got all his albums, what a player!
@@PainInTheS SECOND ALBUM is my favorite.
@@JAMESMOORE-gq4vv Absolutely, mine too! My dad had this album, just this one from Roy...I have it now. In 1991 I bought it on cd myself when I was in the army....still remember that, I was together with an army mate on a buying spree in a cd store where we had our training. Three guys in our room played guitar, not me 😅. It was fun, sitting in the hallway, them fiddling away. Now this guy was quite good. He didn't know Patience by Guns n roses. We had a miniset that I actually bought from one of our sergeant instructors for in our room (12 or 14 men sleeping there), put in a tape and he listened to the song, rewind and listen a bit, rewind....he started playing....rewind....playing......and he got it, just like that, he played the song. So much fun we had. He was really into blues too and I got him on to Roy Buchanan.
Over the years I completed Roy's discography....I think like 2 years ago I got the last records I needed.
Second album the best and 5 string blues the best track for me. 👍
I saw Roy a couple months before he hung himself in prison. Please explore more
Beautiful friends, Roy was so talented and such a horrible shame he hung himself in jail having been arrested for public intoxication. Some say he was murdered while in jail. We will never know. He was affected with many demons though, and such a terrible shame. In my opinion one of the best guitarists ever.
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊
👍
Sadly he hung himself in jail after being arrested. It's so interesting my dear, how you picked up on his sadness........Erie
I actually know someone who lived near him when he died. Apparently there was suspicion that the police killed him and made it look like a suicide.
MOA...nice one! Gallagher one of best guitarists ever....💚🤍💛🇺🇲
The story on how Roy died is interesting and very sketchy, you can Google it.
Musical genius and deeply troubled mind go hand in hand so often. PS: he DID lose his mind
First!
He has many very good songs better than this one. This is just a jam
