I've been following tennis since E. Svitolina won the 2018 WTA Finals in Singapore, my hometown. 🎉😅❤
Thoughts n prayer will be with you n family.
Svitolina plays a lot more aggressive since her return, rather than just plonking it down the centre all the time, which is how she played before.
Playing with Gael helps
Yeah! Her forehand is effin on fire. From aggressive angles, topspin, and the depth!

As a human story, I'm just so happy to see that it's possible for a lady to become a mother, and STILL play in the high levels of professional sport, if that's what she wants to do. It's hard to juggle motherhood with everything else that happens in a normal, non-elite level sporting life, let alone what the professional tennis tour demands. What an inspiration she is to other ladies who are thinking about having kids but maybe waiting because of career goals. I love it. And best of all, I can tell my own daughters to not let anything get in the way of starting your own family (also, if THAT'S what people want to do). Thank you, El, for helping to show what is possible.

I am for sure impressed and happy for Elina. Heck of a comeback run. Anyone who knows her tennis before the baby and war knows she was an excellent competitor and focused on court. She is just warming up; but in style with a final and trophy.

Very poor sportsmanship of her to refuse a handshake. Blinkova did not invade Ukraine just as Elina did not invade Iraq when her country sent the third largest military contingent to invade that country.
