Hey Jonny. You need to enter some skate competitions to show the whole skate community that the guys who skate for Revive aren't a joke. I know you would kill most of them in a game of skate since you battled at the barrics years ago. Keep up your hard work and dedication to your craft.
heelflips to me feel ultra natural people really like it when I do them, but when I do a kickflip its the opposite cant even land them unless i try very hard
Weirdly enough I would bet on Aaron Kyro for these tricks. The guy does so many games of skates and when it's his turn, he wins all the time with simple tricks like the ones on this list. He can't do late anything, but on basic tricks he's one of the most consistent guys around, probably because he practices them so much, doing his learning videos and stuff.
Hey Jonny, my roots are in Bern, Switzerland but I was born and raised in California. I came across your channel tonight and this list is so spot on, I've lost so many games of skate from some of the tricks in this list, especially fakie heelflips. Super stoked to discover your channel. Not sure where you are in Switzerland, but I'll be visiting family in Switzerland for the holidays (December 20 - Jan 5) and might be cool to meet up if it works out, I have family all over that we'll be visiting, but mostly in Bern, Thun, Meiringen and Aarberg. Either way, it was cool discovering your channel and seeing some swiss dudes skating and learning new tricks in the freezing cold, that's awesome. Keep it up.
i agree with this list for most skaters... the only one I personally never bothered learning was the inward heelflip.... otherwise i love heelflip tricks.. varial heels, disco flip's, double heels, etc.... you were also so right about the bigspins and 360 shuvs; most skaters learn one and not the other... that is why to always learn the other! good job on the list, it makes a lot of sense.
When I skated years ago I had nollie pop shove it's, nollie FS 180 and nollie FS big spins so crispy that turn felt more comfortable. I loved doing nollie fs 180 and follow it with nice crispy switch pop shove it and fakie kickflip
Oddly enough, varial flips used to be my favorite trick. I had them on lock but now it takes me many tries to land them. Any tips on consistency would be lit.
jonny, can you please attempt a fakie or nollie dolphin flip? i feel like its a nbd. the board would do a backflip while moving forward. i think your creative enough to accomplish this, plus it would look pretty cool.
Your opinion of nice is the best way the trick could ever be landed haha, you're so good :D I like fakie heel and fakie varial heel a lot and I like inward heel and fakie fs bigspin, but I think I'll need couple more years to do them in your style haha. And yep nollie fs 360 shuv is a lot easier than fakie, actually never tried fakie I'll get to that :)
The more i check skaters on youtube the more i realise how strangely people skate in my area, we mostly see fakie frontside bigger spin, nollie pop shov late flip and switch big spin, tricks like that, it's pretty rare when someone does a tre flip or a half cab flip. I'm pretty sure inward heel and a at least 3 or 4 other tricks on that list pop up very regulary in our games.
Nice vid Johnny! I thought for sure you were going to say Casper/hospital flip for your #1 but yeah I agree, I love nollie bs 360shuvs but fakie fs 360's are nasty
I usually win game of skate with a plethora of late shove it variations -as they are easy to spin and site but difficult to dial in unless you do them as much as me.
I guess it's not a popular trick, because by that time people would get into the tre flips, right? But in terms of difficulty or a real inability of doing them? I don't know. I do know quite a lot beginners to intermediate skateboarders that do not like the frontside pop shove its either. To many the front side scoop is a bit tough or at least takes a bit more practice and skill.
I think the way I do inward heelflips ends up being more like a shove-it late flip so I should probably put more effort into differentiating between those two tricks
I just got back into skating after 10 years off. Was never too good, so just trying to get the basics down again. Just for fun I wanted to try a varial kickflip, while practicing regular kickflips, because I used to be able to do them. The first varial I tried in 10 years, landed it! Then after that I couldn't land one. It got to the point where I was determined to land another one, but the more I tried the worse they got. Eventually I just completely lost the flip.. Oh well. Gotta practice!
haha fakie tricks are my favorite actually >.< i have alot of fun with fakie bigflip. and fakie varial heels nolie gets me every time tho i have to practice more
lol this is so true, if i really sat down at thought about the 10 tricks people suck at i woulda either picked all of these maybe a couple different. great video/
Before I started watching this I named 3 tricks that popped to mind. Fakie heel (ofc), varial flip (ofc) but how about good old regular frontside heelflip? That is just something that nobody does without getting paid :D
Good list! Only thing that is really common tho is 360 shuv its, should have been front 360 shuv or fakie 360 shuv instead, but that's just my opinion.
I love heelflips but they feel so unnatural. especially down gaps. I get varial heels down stuff all the time though. I rarely fakie heel but fakie varial heel is fun.
I find fakie frontside shove-its easier, admittedly I can't do make it do a 360, but I'm still learning, all my friends say there's something wrong with me lol
Love inward heel still but varial heel after 15 years still only land 30-40% hate that trick so much love heels and inwards idk what it is about going opposite direction
Jonny Giger please show me how to 360 flip the correct way!!! I've been out of skating a while but getting back into it. This is the one trick I was never able to land unless I was going fakie. I can fakie big flip too but I can't do a regular 360 flip. lol HELP!
Yeah I do fakie varial heels all the time. They got letters all of the time.
You're so evil😂
Can you do a dragon flip
I find kickflip more difficult than any heelflip trick... I'm special
Riccardo Rosati it's heelflip not hellflip.
Might as well be.
The spellchecker...
I find? I think! heuheuheuhu
eduardo brandao nope... I find

Any heelflip trick feels unnatural to me.
any trick ever feels unnatural to me
daKandiman14 i learned heelflips first, now they feel weird
heelflips to me feel ultra natural people really like it when I do them, but when I do a kickflip its the opposite cant even land them unless i try very hard
tweak your back foot the opposite way, helps me.
i hate regular heelflips but i like varial heels and nollie heels

Nicolas Bertin He make skateboarding make simple volume 1-6 . So yeah
Nicolas Bertin he actually beat giger in a game of skate
Nicolas Bertin yeahhhh #teamkyro
Aaron is a good skater some people hate on him too much because he isn't the tiptop yet he's pro
"one of the most consistent guys around" WHAT? you cant be serious or do you only watch the youtube skaters?
I love your channel. Inspires me to pick up the board again.
i love fakie front bigs. best thing ever. hard flips, i can never do. ever
Dude I love Inward Heels
fs 3 shuv are impossible. I would definitely be able to pull one of fakie before regular
I like seeing the tricks and having them named. Helps with learning to identify tricks better. Thanks

I love how he stomps the landing looks awesome this channel deserves a lot more subs it's amazing
Nollie & switch is no problem. But anything FS Fakie is an automatic letter for me! Anybody have this problem?!
3 years later and yes... I still have this problem
@@XBFEARoO is that a new account?
For me, FS fakie is easier than BS fakie
@@D3v1lllz haha
@@samtinber2097 unreal
I gotta say that's a pretty good list. Most of them I never would have thought of 👌
Truly intriguing list - thank you, Jonny! :)
Hey Jonny I'm hoping to get your watermelon deck for xmas keep up the good work!
i agree with this list for most skaters... the only one I personally never bothered learning was the inward heelflip.... otherwise i love heelflip tricks.. varial heels, disco flip's, double heels, etc.... you were also so right about the bigspins and 360 shuvs; most skaters learn one and not the other... that is why to always learn the other! good job on the list, it makes a lot of sense.
Me and my friend are really enjoying your videos by the way.👍🏿
When I skated years ago I had nollie pop shove it's, nollie FS 180 and nollie FS big spins so crispy that turn felt more comfortable. I loved doing nollie fs 180 and follow it with nice crispy switch pop shove it and fakie kickflip
shaolinskunks88 exact same tricks I do in a line haha
For me it's the Ollie. Hahahaha
alloneword154 you'll get it eventually. Once you understand the motion and you've done it once you'll remember how to do it forever.
Same here, I can kickflip gaps probably just as good as Ollie gaps (so not very good xD)
+Brass band Dennis
I can attest to that 100%. I just started skating again (sort of) after over 4 years of not skating, and I can still ollie.
alloneword154 same, I could do a pop shove it before I could ollie consistently 😂
Austen Branch me to lol
Johnny, your varial kickflips look awesome!
I love Heelflip tricks and I pretty much have inwards on lock. Nobody I know can do them as well as I can. I learned them from your trick tip Jonny 👍
love setting inny heels! and fake! always gets letters ! btw your winter pro model deck is sick!
Very entretainment video Jonny, you are the best skater
Good list Johnny. Glad you have reasoning behind all your choices
Switch bs 360. I even feel like a lot of people I encountered struggle with switch bs 180s
yeah for sure, switch bs 180 is just not a trick anybody wants to practice so few people get the 360
Stephen Carmickle that's the only basic switch trick I can't do. sw bs 180
#10 and #4 were my "go-to" tricks back in the day, lol. My SKATE strategy was basically do as many heelflip and bigspin variations as possible, lol. 😂
Skaters suck at triple impossibles.
they're even worse at sex
-tuple impossibles
You’re not wrong
hey Jonny I got ur watermelon deck with spiderman grip
Ur my favorite skater btw
Any shove it variations were super easy to learn for me. 3 shoves were a little frustrating when I first learned them though...
Nice video, Jonny!
Oddly enough, varial flips used to be my favorite trick. I had them on lock but now it takes me many tries to land them. Any tips on consistency would be lit.
i can do varial kickflip but no kick flip ! can you give me some advices !Nice vidéo ! 👌
fakie varial heels are one my fav tricks they're super fun and fakie fs big spin
jonny, can you please attempt a fakie or nollie dolphin flip? i feel like its a nbd. the board would do a backflip while moving forward. i think your creative enough to accomplish this, plus it would look pretty cool.
all dolphins were landed already, just add variations and there yaho
Lamont has the best fakie front 3 shuvs
so stoked you put Fakie bigspins on this list love that trick
Your opinion of nice is the best way the trick could ever be landed haha, you're so good :D I like fakie heel and fakie varial heel a lot and I like inward heel and fakie fs bigspin, but I think I'll need couple more years to do them in your style haha. And yep nollie fs 360 shuv is a lot easier than fakie, actually never tried fakie I'll get to that :)
I used to have kickflip late back foot heels. That and dolphin flips were probably the weirdest ones. God I need to get back on board.
The more i check skaters on youtube the more i realise how strangely people skate in my area, we mostly see fakie frontside bigger spin, nollie pop shov late flip and switch big spin, tricks like that, it's pretty rare when someone does a tre flip or a half cab flip. Heelflip was like one of my first tricks and now im so good at heelflips including fakie heelflips! they'r lit! haha
These are basically all tricks I get hyped on when I see them in video parts.
Thank you for your videos. Lol I want to skate again
What about regular FS 360 pop shuvits? You hardly ever see any one do them, laser flips are much more common.
I guess it's not a popular trick, because by that time people would get into the tre flips, right? But in terms of difficulty or a real inability of doing them? I don't know. I do know quite a lot beginners to intermediate skateboarders that do not like the frontside pop shove its either. Lamont Holt has fakie fs 360 pop shuvs pretty down
Why do people think varial kickflips are ugly? They look basically like any other flip trick variant to me.
I think they look ugly, it's just not as good looking as the Varial Heelflip
People think it's like a half-assed treflip or something.
Ricky Johnson they look good IMO its just a dumb group think mentality among skaters
Forgot fakie hardflip
I like to comment multiple times because it makes the creator look better in UA-cam’s new algorithm.
I love fakie varial heels , fakie fs big spins and fakie fs 3 shuvs
I think the way I do inward heelflips ends up being more like a shove-it late flip so I should probably put more effort into differentiating between those two tricks
Haha Fakie Fs Bigspin is my favorite trick!
Really spot on :D Number one feels like puking :D
fakie frontside shuv is like my favorite trick
I just got back into skating after 10 years off. Was never too good, so just trying to get the basics down again. Just for fun I wanted to try a varial kickflip, while practicing regular kickflips, because I used to be able to do them. The first varial I tried in 10 years, landed it! Most of the tricks on your list I loved doing. However doing the fakie frontside 360 shuv I messed up my ankle big time one time
Verial heelflip is my favorite trick( and the laser flip too), its one of the cleanest trick I can land
I've got most of these, flatground at least. :D
I agree with inward heel, fakie varial heel, and switch 360 shuv for sure haha
I love Varial heels :3
haha fakie tricks are my favorite actually >.< i have alot of fun with fakie bigflip. and fakie varial heels nolie gets me every time tho i have to practice more
I can do fakie and halfcab heels consistently on most obstacles but I can't do any heelflip variations in any other stance.
Fakie heel, varial kicks, fakie front bigspins are the ones I do in games of skate because not a lot of people do them. So I got good at them.
Fakie heel, and fakie front bigspin are definitely the hardest tricks for me
Maybe doing these 10 tricks as a kind of warm up routine, and throw them down in games of skate.
Switch 540 flip late FS half cab backfoot flip is my go to
Fakie v heels, fakie fs bigspins, switch bs bigspins are like my most done tricks haha
lol this is so true, if i really sat down at thought about the 10 tricks people suck at i woulda either picked all of these maybe a couple different. great video/
Half of these tricks are my go-to tricks! :D
I've closed out many a game of skate with the nollie fs bigspin.
Fakie frontside big spin is the only big spin variation I can do 😬 but I can make it look clean
Before I started watching this I named 3 tricks that popped to mind. Fakie heel (ofc), varial flip (ofc) but how about good old regular frontside heelflip? That is just something that nobody does without getting paid :D
I think this is very accurate!
Yeah, it's pretty much impossible to make a fakie front 3 shuv look good.. If you can, hats off to you.
I love varies kick flips. That’s my childhood
wow the first 360 shove variation i learnt was a fakie front 3, yet nollie and switch is still non existent for me.
Inward heels are one of my favourite tricks to do
I have the first 8 really solid
Good list! Only thing that is really common tho is 360 shuv its, should have been front 360 shuv or fakie 360 shuv instead, but that's just my opinion.
I actually don’t have an opinion of this list, because I was commenting the entire and making myself laugh
I don't skate and I don't really follow when he's explaining the tricks but this dude is awesome.
scott ford he is, super chill gui
Shane O'Neill got a letter from Will Fyock's switch 360 shuvit in batb8
Cool stuff
what about dolphin flips/forward flips or nollie hard flips ?
I love heelflips but they feel so unnatural. especially down gaps. I get varial heels down stuff all the time though. I rarely fakie heel but fakie varial heel is fun.
fakie fs bigspins & 3 shuvs are 2 of my favorite tricks ; p
i love fakie front big spins nd fakie heels wanna learn fakie varial heels
Fakie Heelflips meine absoluten Lieblings Tricks 😁
i love fakie heels and fakie fs bisgpins btw :3
I find fakie frontside shove-its easier, admittedly I can't do make it do a 360, but I'm still learning, all my friends say there's something wrong with me lol
hey jonny, I was laughing because those are some of the tricks I like to try and throw down in skate
Love inward heel still but varial heel after 15 years still only land 30-40% hate that trick so much love heels and inwards idk what it is about going opposite direction
MrLebeau3789 back foot in pocket flick front foot off toe side front pocket and try to shove it forward
have to agree with number 1
I like to see a pro come out of a cold environment
this video is funny to me because these are all my go to tricks hahaha i cant do many other tricks
i love fakie front big spins!
Jonny Giger please show me how to 360 flip the correct way!!! I've been out of skating a while but getting back into it. This is the one trick I was never able to land unless I was going fakie. I can fakie big flip too but I can't do a regular 360 flip. lol HELP!
Inward HeelFlip is actually my favorite trick :')
Do a how to 360 pop shiv trick top
