I'm an American but you are the channel that keeps inspiring me to build my 4x4. I have a a 4.0 Pathfinder with 5 speed auto ( fixed the trans cooler of course) but its an an amazing truck, and I owned many Toyota "Tacoma" pickups. In High school I had an 88 Toyota Pickup 4x4 and my best friend had an 84 FJ 60. I really cant wait to see the 30 back in action Sauno.
I had a d21 pathfinder was an absolute weapon, it did me well and I sold it with all the fruit and from what I hear she is still kicking around the tracks exactly how I left her today !!
I used to have the R50 (1998) pathfinder w/ the vg33e, she was a fun little car. Not a weapon like the D21 was- the r50 was a unibody, but she was fun. I replaced her with a 2007 Nissan Xterra N50, which is currently undergoing a full titan-swap (including M205 diff, they keep sending me the wrong gear ratio though), and is fully modded out as far as barwork and other drivetrain features goes (rear locked, soon to be twin-locked, 35OD tires, radflo 2.5 with RR's all around).
As a dodge diesel person from Texas, who doesn’t even own an import, that is one awesome rig. Makes me want to get your shop to work on my builds. Electrical work, it makes or breaks a rig and how they tied in all the little things. Pure craftsmanship

The Dirty 30 has undergone a huge transformation, a long way from the first manifestation of it. You cannot go wrong with an fdthte engine, in my opinion, the best engine Toyota has ever made. Far better then the V8 diesel! Simpler to work on. One of my mates works in Coal mines on the maintenance side of things. He originally had a 79HDJ79 ute then, was given a VDJ79 ute & wanted the 6 cylinder back- more powerful & torquey (in his opinion) than the V8. I am on my second one now, the first being an HDJ79R & when I changed to a wagon, there was no doubt I was going to an HDJ100R! Which I love & even with over 314,000 k's, I have no intention of getting rid of it!

Very nice build! I watched all from part 1 and just great seeing it come back to life. I'm new to this 4wd action channel and just LOVING it! downloaded about 50 episodes this week and watched them all! Don't own any vehicle but just watching this brightens my day a lot! Just finished watching the Victoria High Country snowy episode and OMG it's so picture perfect place. Really envy you guys being able to do these kinds of things and just amazing being able to experience all that.
I love that *dirty* glow of the side lights, that's the 80s right there lol She's a work of art and the guys have done an awesome job and nothing is overkill, no 40+ tyres or crazy lift or lit up like a Christmas tree.

I'm loving the build the combination of new and old parts from all the different model cruisers coupled with all the accessories you have chosen Shauno, its just mint its gonna be one hell of a vehicle that's for sure.
Keen to see shorty come back for her opening adventure. She is a gorgeous truck. Lot of time and money to make her perfect, wonder who's money it is and how much sponsorship there is to create a mint rig like that.
Shauno, Mate! i'm living in the USA these days... But i'm a Brissy Boy thru and thru... I love this build... it is the ultimate build to someone that had that vehicle. I'm torn between the bar work and the wheels. If i had to make a choice of my favourite Mod, i'd say the bar work.
Next mod: hydrpneumatic suspension struts. It's an air spring and a hydraulic damper in one unit. Pump in more oil and your ride height goes up. Pump in more air and your spring rate goes up. It first started on Citroen sedans but now it's mostly used on armoured personnel carriers. The best bit is the sway bar is a hydraulic valve not a bar, so you can disable it with a button.
Been following this from the start mate it’s come a long way. All the boys have a done a great job has gave me so many ideas on what to do to my Ute wile it’s in the shed and a few people I have to go talk too as well can’t wait to see it on the tracks mate

Well done Shauno looks fantastic I used to have FJ55 wagon years ago I have been Toyota for many years have 5 on my farm Hiluxes and Prados, but I do have Landrover it runs a 5.7 litre V8 350 chev diesel with 5 speed Santana gearbox and full offroad suspension runs fantastic.i am thinking of taking it over to Tasmania after watching your last video.

My JDM HZJ73 has factory lockers front and rear. That’s awesome he was able to use those dash lights in the 30.
