We actually have a Main Street and it’s doing the same thing - changed the hi limit and kept shutting off. Temp kept getting in the 430f range / we replaced the thermostat and it’s still doing it lol.
I had exactly the same problem in our food van. Over temperature cut off. And it would go off between 11.30am and 12.30. I was tearing my hair out. G'day from oz 🇦🇺
The best thing to do is to hold the switch in like turn it to pilot. Push it in light it and hold it for about 20 seconds until I get nice and read and then let it go. Be sure that the thermostat temperature knob is to off. If the flame stays lit at the pilot make sure that you turn the knob from pilot to on. Then you can turn the temperature up and it should light . Be careful when you lighten that pilot that the temperature thermostat is off.

Do all fryers have a high limit switch? I have a patriot fryer and I can not find the high limit switch anywhere.

To answer your question, Yes the high limit switch regulates the temperature to keep it from getting to hot and burning up.

My gas frier simile\ like rhis is not ignition,not on what may be thr causr pleasr???? Suggest me pls.
It sound like if it's not igniting it could be your gas valve it's not opening up to let the gas flow through
I buy new one same brand but 50 lb I can’t light the pilot I put for 2 minute no turn on no gas. We smile gas but not on. How I do for fix please help
