Just want to add a few points based on my experience: don't sign or paste your picture on the application form, they'll give another version of the form after verifying all docs at the vfs center; there's a Xerox machine available at center also (expensive obviously). Also, I could pay via card but yeah it's better to keep cash handy just in case

The info given at 2.50 min is not correct. You have to apply to country where you will be staying for the maximum no of nights. If 2 countries have the same number of days then you have to apply to the embassy where you will enter first.

@@TheVirgoCompass you said there are 2 options either apply from the first port of entry or the country where you will stay for the max no of days - which is not correct. The first criteria is the max no of days if there is a tie between 2 countries then you got to apply from the country you enter first. 👍
Hello I am preparing to apply for my first Schengen Visa, itinerary planned : Switzerland -> Germany -> France -> Switzerland. I am visiting my Family and Friends in all the places, kindly helps with the following:
1) Type of visa - tourist or visitor?
2) What details do I need to provide for each stay - is address enough?
3) How to check VFS dates before applying?
4) In case I may want to visit places not already planned and mentioned in my cover letter (eg amsterdam/netherlands) will that be allowed or is it an issue?
5) How much bank balance should I show for a 4 week trip? Does FD count or only Savings Bank balance?
6) Can I get work from home while my stay there or should it be a full holiday, like what should be mentioned on my letter from employer

So, I'm 23 and I plan to visit Lisbon, Portugal for a work trip from November 16th for 5 days. I work remotely with a UK-based marketing agency, joined this year in March and this is our first meetup. I just applied for my passport this morning and am assigned an appointment date of the 27th of September. I wanted to know if I need to get my passport in hand before I apply for a visa? Also, what are the chances of getting the visa comfortably before the trip? Anything I should specifically keep in mind?
Hey yes you need to provide the passport on your appointment date. Make sure you are providing a proper cover letter detailing out your work and tourism. If its a business visa you will require documents as in your invite letter, cover letter on company letter head and support letter.

Hi, Does VFS France accept pay at checkout bookings? I have booked certain accommodations at pay at checkout, I received the confirmation voucher as well. I hope that will work? Or they expect full pre-paid accommodations?

I have one question - We are planning Europe trip starting from Greece, Croatia, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands. We are going to stay maximum in Italy but we want to start with Greece(landing port) for our trip. So is it ok if I apply from Greece for Schengen visa ? Or should I apply in Italy embassy ? If Italy then should I also start my trip from Italy that is land in Italy first? This has been our confusion and we are worried because of this our visa might get rejected.
As you are staying maximum in Italy and starting with greece, you can choose any of the country embassy based on the embassy appointment availability and visa success/rejection rate

Hi Anu. I had a important question ! Pls Reply ! . Regarding NOC (Leave Sanction Letter) from Company the HR said they will provide it via email with an electronic signature which I can print out and then get a stamp (seal) on the letter. Getting an original signature on the print wont happen as the print will have an e-signature. Is that okay? Or do I need an original signature on the print

Hi, are there any limitations of saying for dependents of ICT NL work permit? Can they go back to their main country and come back to NL within 6 months? Or there are any rules or limitations of continuously saying for dependents outside of NL?

In this case you have to show your funds via the bank statement or via your sponsor ( parents) for the trip. It would be better if you can show someone is sponsoring you from your family for this trip

i am sorry but passport assurance is useful if you have to bear hard cancellation charges of airlines for your trip in case of lost passport. And they are bound to give 500$ for the same so it will cover a lot of damage.

No you can get it from any branch. they can easily apply the stamp

Hey Antara, yes you need a airport transit visa , rules will vary with country to country and duration at the airport. eg: some countries don’t ask for any visa if its within 12 hrs like Riyadh. Kindly check the official country websites or contact your airlines for any clarification regarding the updated rules. Hope this was helpful 🌻let me know incase of any queries

Hi Anu. 1 important Q. Regarding Employment Proof, I had a word with HR of my company, they said they have a format for the NOC for leave with the dates, but they cant provide hardcopy. They said they can give me soft copy through email and it will have company stamp, I can print it out and use. Will it work? Im unsure if a print of the doc will work or do I need to print it out and have company stamp and sign. In general do I need hardcopy of the docs for the appointment? If so which ones need to be hardcopy with stamp/sign?

Hi, in that case I will recommend you to change the stay bookings of france and make it 7 number of days, greater than italy. Once your visa is approved, you can make the changes afterwards as per your itinerary

Hey, It’s definitely not impossible but yes its hard to get unless its a business visa. So if possible try to cover few south asian countries if possible and then apply with all required geniune documents

Hi , if I have got Schengen visa from Netherland of one year & I have applied for Amsterdam only but now I have got one year visa,, can i visit other Schengen countries?

No as you have the visa you can then visit any Schengen country only the number of days of stay should not exceed (number of stay days are mentioned in the visa)

You have to visit VFS centre, not in delhi but you can find the nearest one in MP too. They have centres in most of the states and yes you have to physically visit there

No. They don’t have the details of our visa. Although she provided dummy airline tickets, it is advisable to provide officials the original tickets.

I am from dubai and i am holding indian passport and i have applied for a sechzan visa from Denmark embassy visa but its been refused. The reason i got for refusal i might not be coming back dubai from Denmark.
I had submitted all papers including fully booked hotel and airline tickets also coming back airline as well.
Now i am thinking to use the Italy embassy for visa but my ticket and entry country is Denmark is it position to do it or still we will get refused?

hey ravindra, I heard many people are facing rejection issues. If you are not showing tickets to italy then you should have atleast the itinerary ready to visit italy with max number of days. Also please find out if any visible reason of rejection is there and if that can be avoided in the italy application
@The Virgo Compass means it doesn't matter if we apply from Italy embassy and enter from Denmark ?
During the Denmark visa i have submitted my all papper even itnanary as well buy just i forgot to submit my tenancy contract.
About tickets yes i have paid tickets also for Italy and in itnanary it shows i am spending more than 10 days. Should i submit my friends paper as well with whim i am go ?
And if i chance the entrance country then i have to chance all tickets and loosing all 50 % tickets money as well. please assist me.
Could you please tell about the visitor visa? There is no option available on the website. Is it considered in the tourist visa?
Yes tourist visa is same as Visitor visa, going there for holiday and leisure purpose for some amount of days
