The Mars 5 Ultra was my first resin printer, and I can confirm that it is awesome for a beginner. It took very little time to get myself up to speed with the process, and it does print fast relative to other printers. The tilting vat release mechanism is not just a gimmick.
I was going to buy the Anycubic Photon mono M5s pro, until I saw this one which is much less of a word salad to say and the reviews hardly have anything bad to say. Seems like the perfect entry level Resin 3D printer.
It's an unreal improvement. I''m reviewing it for my channel now and I wouldn't recommend a consumer model besides this printer. Auto level is a game changer.
You can use warm water and a plastic scraper, and you can also use its vat cleaning feature to slightly cure the layer you want to remove so you can peel it off, it leaves little residue that you can simply wipe off. This is without a doubt the biggest flaw of Resin printing, the tedious process 😂, at least FDM printing is super easy.
I had sworn off elegoo because their customer support was more concerned about trying to talk me into accepting an earlier Mars with a badly skewed build plate out of the box, instead of offering to replace it. But, the advances in this printer made me decide to give them a try again. Should be able to get my first print from it today.
Good evening. Can you tell me why the model does not stick to the table, but sticks to the film, the first layers, and then prints idly. The printer is an Elegoo Mars 5 ultra, it has a table with auto-calibration, so I don't know how to calibrate. The illumination of the first layers was set from 30 to 120 seconds. It didn't help. The resin is Elegoo water 8k. Maybe someone can tell you something.
How complicated is the cleanup if resin spills or leaks down the side of the tilting tray? I'm thinking disassembly time, potentially exposed electronics, and other difficult to clean components like fans and motors.
There’s a lip on the underside of the tilting tray that catches small leaks and keeps resin away from the delicate components. The bottom shroud comes off if you need to cleanup any spills.
SO JUST TO BE CLEAR IS THE MARS 5 ULTRA OR THE SATURN 4 ULTRA BETTER?? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I WANT TO MAKE JEWELRY AND DONT KNOW WHAT WILL CREATE HIGHER QUALITY
@@stop619 The Amazon Elegoo store does not sell new printers. They sell returned and refurbished printers that have supposedly been repaired as new. Literally cheating the buyer and Amazon knows this but does not care. I bought a supposedly brand new Neptune 3 Pro from there and I have had nothing but severe issues from the first day I used it. Come to find out that the printer was a returned and Elegoo had it refurbished and resold it as a brand new printer.

Did you have to do all firmware update before printing
@@truthbtold8697 I don't remember if it made me install the updates first or not, but I'm pretty sure I did.
@@MumenRider01 It really is.
Huge help as I think about a new printer! I’m upgrading from the Mars 2 Pro. The tilt release seems like a huge improvement!

11:05 what do we use then?

For the temperature you can buy the elegoo mini heater for the printer temperature
What kinds of features is one missing out on by sticking to the

Excellent review, thanks. Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra or Anycubic Photon Mono 4 Ultra?

Great explaination.
Your intro perfectly describes me. I loved the Saturn features but it was too large for my needs.
Cool general overview video. I almost bought a mars 4 earlier this year but I think I’ll wait till I can find a mars 5 ultra instead.
5:00 "40mm per second"? That would be impossibly fast. You really mean "per hour", right?
Oops, my bad. Yes 40mm per hour. Hopefully the print examples and times I go on to explain makes that clear to everyone.
Lol we can dream can't we 😂
Hoping for a heated vat in the next Mars model
What does it mean to be 40mm per second? But then it takes over an hour for a 57mm model?!
The free Chitu slicer does come with a cut tool.
good tips thank yuo
idk why this one have less size than the mars 4 max. Although is dobuel fast... but I'm liking it
Because it's not a MAX model. Remember, there was a Mars 4 regular size also.
Be very careful with your purchases from Elegoo. The company does not sell replacement parts for the Mars 5, only the Mars 5 Ultra.

Do not ever buy Elegoo products from Amazon, especially the 3D printers
Can you elaborate on this warning? Main issues/concerns? Thank you!

Wow!! Thanks for the video. Mars 5 Ultra looks great

that is the speed at which the vat pulls from the plate.
